    Default Snapshot a Day (1/18)

Hey all, how's the weekend going?

Here's my snap from a visit with my niece yesterday. She's an interesting little one, very full of energy and fun, but also developmentally delayed and kind of unusual. Sometimes she just looks at you, like in this picture, and you wonder what is going on in that little mind of hers.

Tracy- I love everything about that photo! The comp, processing, ect...just LOVE. Can I ask what lens you were using and your settings?

    Sadie- I agree, lovely framing!

Here's one from Saturday. We had just gotten done skating and playing boot hockey on the lake. Ryken was pooped, yet upset that we were done After looking at his...flickr really did a number on it! It sure looks more grainy than it should be...

Aw, you can see the tiredness in that. Very sweet, wonderful blue eyes!

My settings on this one were f/2.8 taken with a 40mm prime, ISO 500. The 40mm prime is a nice lens, I have to say. Gives a little more space indoors on a crop sensor camera, and the pics always seem very sharp (easier to get it sharp than with my 50mm f/1.4). With this outdoors shot, I would probably have preferred the 50mm, but I didn't have it with me, but obviously this worked out well anyway!

Tracy ... she has amazing eyes and you captured them so well here. WOW!

Sadie ... love this one from the wedding! You can see his smile in the kiss, and that unbridled joy is something we all dream of on our wedding day. Great catch! Nice conversion too.

Katie ... I love the photos and videos you shared from skating on fb and this is another great catch. Both of your boys have amazing eyes, but like others have said, I love how you can see how tired he is while still being so disappointed about having to call it a day. Sounds like this could be a growing passion for him. And there's something seriously exciting about that, imho. Stay warm!

    TFS, ladies!
