AWWW! Poor tuckered out little guy! He must have had a blast to blow that much energy!

I thought of you, Tracy - we went to an antique car swap meet. The swap meet itself turned out to be a bust, but I grabbed a few shots that I really liked, including this one:

Oh GiGi, I'm jeaaaaaaaalous! I want that picture to me mine! I really hate that old camper pic I shared the other day (though I suspect in our crazy club that it would do well), and really want a rust-bucket old car or truck like this. Gotta find one, I have one week left. But my aunt passed away unexpectedly on Saturday and this week is going to fly by with my parents up, Anthony taking some extra days off work, and Easter.

Steph, I love that pic, I saw it on FB and it's such a perfect capture after a tiring day!

Tracy - I am SO sorry about Anthony's aunt. Your whole family will be in our thoughts and prayers. When Carlos suggested we go to the antique car swap meet (he dreams of finding a rust bucket to rebuild with Logan one day), I thought immediately of you. We had to drive over 2 hours to get to the swap meet and there were really not that many cars on-site (which was a bit of a bummer after driving that far), but the day was beautiful and it was fun for me to have "new" things to photograph. I wish we had access to something like that closer - I would love to do a family photo session there w/ my guys.

Anyway ... have you thought about taking a different spin on it and finding some old toy cars? That might be easier for you to locate and maybe Micah would enjoy helping you on the hunt? Just thinking out loud, so to speak...

ANYWAY .... I hope this week goes well for you, all things considered.

    Take care,
    GiGi

That's an interesting idea about the toy cars, GiGi! We have some 'antiques' from when Anthony was a kid, too.

It was my mom's sister who passed away, but you know, she was a pretty amazing person and had a much better life than anyone could've imagined when she was first born, so we count our blessings and are just sad to have had to so goodbye so suddenly. She was mentally handicapped due to calcium deposits on her brain, and she had them on her face as well as they could've affected her health more substantially in her life on other organs, but didn't. And she may have been retarded (as she called it) but she was a cracker jack in spite of it. She had a lot of issues as a young child, especially in an era where there wasn't much social support, and eventually my grandparents were forced to institutionalize her, which was totally heart-breaking for everyone involved. But as she matured and medications improved, she ended up living on her own as an adult (with the help of a regular care-giver who spent time with her daily), enjoying her church life, her little shopping trips to the dollar store, knew the transit system like the back of her hand, etc. She even got married to another handicapped man and although that ended badly (he was from a wealthy family, and his family broke them up, fearing Margaret was in it for the money or some crazy thing), she had love for a few years too, which was just amazing to see! I never laughed so hard as when she told me at her bridal shower that "sucks [sex] was something for married people to look forward to". What a hoot! She will be missed, but she loved Jesus and is so, so happy to be in heaven right now!

She sounds like an amazing lady, Tracy. Thanks for sharing about her!

I hope that this time w/ family will be a time to celebrate her life more than to mourn her loss. (((HUGS))) to you all.
