Default Some recent photos for CC

I've been trying to get out more lately with the beautiful colors in the scenery. Here are some of the latest photos I've taken. I've been doing a lot of backlighting lately. CC on anything you can think of

    All shot with my 50mm

    #1
    1/250 f/2.2 ISO 200

    #2
    Backlighting work
    1/200 f/2.2 ISO 200

    #3
I was working on getting directional lighting and conversion on this one. I was going to do a straight b&w on this, but when I brought up the gradient map, it was on this color, and I kinda liked it...
    1/160 f/2.2 ISO 800

A lot of times I have trouble processing backlighting. This one was giving me trouble. There was some haze there that I was trying to work out a little. Is it too much? (I so wish I would have noticed the darn bush in between his legs!)
1/800 f/1.4 (probably should have closed up) ISO 100

I had a lot of trouble with the red cast from his shirt and the red wagon he was sitting in (and from crying just minutes before because of hitting his head ).

    Here is a quick CC

#1 - he looks a tad yellow in the face.
#2 - skin tone looks much better. The picture doesn't do much for me tho.
#3 - like this, you might want to check for blown spots on his cheek (our left)
    #4 - very nice
#5 - my favorite of the bunch. I would clone a little bit the bugs under his eyes.

I will cc, but here lately, I feel like I have no room to cc anything!

    1. It is a tad bit yellow. I love it though. Great eye contact and a real smile from a photographers kid,.....HOW did you do that?!?!
    2. My eye went straight to him, so great focus.
    3. I agree about the cheek being a bit blown, but I adore the b&w. Great shot!
    4. doesn't look as sharp as the others, but I think it's cute. Ya, the bush is in a distracting spot...
    5. I can see that you had some issues with it, mainly by your siggy being compared to Cameron, but I can't help seeing that I am sucking it up lately!

I am seriously loving your photos lately. I do think nice glass makes a difference. I am dying for a new lens. I feel so stuck.

    Thanks ladies!

I'll go back and fix the yellow in his face in #1. I had some wb issues with that one sooc, and it was very cool, so I must have warmed it up too much.

I'll also check his cheek in #3

I LOVE #3!! That is wonderful!

#1 is also a fave from this set, except the slight bit of yellow.

You just get better every time you post!

I love that you guys like #3. I was seriously just experimenting with lighting in the house, and it was right in front of the toy box with toys all in the background lol!

I brought #3 into ACR and nothing was highlighted. Does that mean it's not blown?

If nothing was highlighted when you brought it on ACR then yes its not blown, but whatever conversion or action you applied to convert could have changed that.

You're received some great CC and I haven't anything to add. I did however want to say that, to me, #1 even with the tinge of yellow just shows perfectly how far you've come with your photography. Well done

For me, #2 and #3 are simply stunning and beautiful and those really showcase your growth! The light, color, comp, focus, everything about #2 is great. In #3 the cheek looks just fine on my work pc but at home it did look pretty bright.

I brought in the exact photo I posted here. But yes, I agree that it looks a little bit bright. I'm notorious for brightening my photos a bit much sometimes #1 is actually a reedit, because my PrePro group said it looked bright lol

Thank you for the encouragement ladies! I really feel like I've grown a lot this past year. It's nice to hear that you guys think so too.
