I know these are flawed, I was having difficultly with setting since she was moving a lot and the sun kept hiding and then coming back out, thought they were adorable none the less (though I may be bias).
I think I should have bumped up the ISO and used a faster shutter speed. How do you think I could improve the colours, contrast, etc? I did do some minor work on them but would love some CC.

They both seem OOF to me- #2 more so than #1. I would have gotten down to her level. Yup, I think your iso was too low. With the water and her moving quickly you would have wanted your SS higher. They're cute shots though! Looks like she was having a blast!
Really cute, looks like she was having a great time!
They do both look just a tad OOF, and I agree about getting down to her level (though, having said that, I did some photos of my kids at a spray park recently and there was NO good angle to take them from without really unsightly stuff in the background). Looks like good colour on them both.

Oh, what fun!! I absolutely love the expressions that you captured here. Such great memories to have.
I think that your exposure looks good, though #2 may be a little overexposed. You might want to check to see if her chest is blown. Taking pictures of kids with a lot of skin exposed is difficult. I've done some of mine with their shirts off (pants on), and I was finding getting good exposure difficult. You've been working mostly on exposure, right? I think you're on the right track.
You got some good feedback about the comp. It's hard in a situation like this to keep distracting elements out.
Next time you're in a situation like this (lots of movement), try raising your shutter speed to stop the movement more. There is some motion blur going on because of how fast she was going, so you're own CC was spot on
Looks like you were out in the evening, which creates much more flattering light than full sun during midday. So that helped these to not have bad shadows around the eyes. Did you notice how much more flattering the light looked when you brought these in?
Keep up the good work! I can see you're working hard!
Thanks for the CC everyone.
