Thread: storage question

How long do you agree to store pics? Obviously I mean the ones that are not of your family but of others.

Clients have 30 days to order from their gallery. Their gallery is then closed and their ordered images are burned to DVD and kept for 1 year.

so after that..all the rest of the images are deleted permanently?

So far, I've just been keeping them on an external drive... but I've only done a few shoots for others and they have all been in the last month.

See this is what I have been doing but I was just thinking ahead and realizing that this is not a feasible long term option. So I figured that those of you in business probably have this written in your contract.
