    Red face Stranger

This morning, I took pictures of my very first stranger. No friend of a friend. No friend of a friend of a friend. Just a girl I saw in Wal-Mart and asked if she would like to have her pictures taken. This is Shannon. She is 32 weeks along and is in the National Guard. She NEVER wears make up, has had a no fuss pregnancy and never even thought of having her pictures taken. And since I'e given up on Facebook, I thought what the heck...and I asked.

I have a ton that I actually like this time. Heck, maybe enough enough to call this a pb session!

Just wanted to share the very first picture I took this morning. After I figure out a way to copy/paste 92 raw files with out doing them one by one, I'll be back to share more...including some semi nude ones she let me do!

CC anything you can for me please. NO kind words. I really really need to do well on this session!

    ISO:200, ss:1/80, f2, flash fired at 1/64 power, 50mm

Wow, good for you for being so brave! I could never approach a random person like that! I prefer the color on this. What did you do for lighting here. I like the effect you're getting.

Holy Cow! These ROCK!!! And Good On YOU for asking her!!!

Of the first 2, I'm going to jump the mold and say I like the b&w better. All that white space competes w/ the color to me whereas, it compliments it in the b&w. I love b&w though ... so take that as you will.

I think I'd like to see a BIT less white space though. Without your logo, that's a lot of empty space, imho. I'd really love to see a portrait crop of this image.

And the 3rd image ... WOWSERS!!! I would never have known you had a flash (& a single one at that) fired. I LOVE that there are no competing shadows ... only a very powerful image. WOW! WOW! WOW!

Hurry back so we can see some more!!!

Kelly, you freakin' ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!! I love how you had the balls to ask her. And I love that she said yes. Whoo hoo!!!!

I might be having monitor issues in terms of brightness ... but from here, the first one seems too bright. Like her hand, there's white on it. Light from the window? Don't know, just seems really bright. I do prefer it in color.

But I love love love love love (can't say it enough) the second one. I think it's awesome!!!!! I can't wait to see more!

Seriously, ya'll...I needed this shoot! I was feeling so so down lately.

I made sure that I had ALL my ducks in a row for those! That's one of the reasons I felt so much pressure I think. Like since I had her sign more detailed paperwork, that I needed to prove that the paperwork was actually needed. Does that sound corney???

So get this, she just called. Not even having seen the pictures, she wants to do a shoot next week with her sister as an anniversary present for her parents. Like a mini session. I am excited. Now I need to do dinner and then edit a couple more.

Gigi, I'll add the color one on here so you can see #3.

Gwen, sweetie, I don't shy away from much. I thought you knew that! There is something about giving birth that made me SO not shy. Maybe it was the 10 zillion people that saw my legs wide open, I dunno...

I just hope that I did okay on these over all. Uggg...I don't do well with this much pressure.
