We are moving to a new apartment in early September and this room is going to be my new studio/work space.
So I plan to repaint(or have martin repaint as he is a painter) However I have heard mixed reviews on what colour to go for.
The two walls you dont see in this picture are currently white. I was thinking of painting one of them white and one of them another colour. Something soft like a pastelly mint green or pale yellow so it can double as a backdrop. Someone else suggested a light grey.
Which would you choose. the two walls with the windows will just be white.
It has so much lovely natural light I can't wait to use it.
Also I want to replace the carpet with floor boards but would keeping the carpet be so bad??
I would love to hear your opinions, thoughts and suggestions. Keep in mind that that is not our stuff in there its the photo from the real estate agent.

I'd just leave the walls white. I'd be afraid painting them might cause strange color casts. ???
Thanks. After thinking about it some more, I am pretty much swinging that way.
while the carpet wouldn't be 'bad' i'd try and put down wood flooring or something. Pics on wood floors are one of my fave things to do because it's so natural. You don't have to worry about backdropping a wood floor where with carpet you would have to cover it up. Just IMO.
I, too, would leave them whiteAnd, yeah, if you can spring for wood floors, I'd do it!
I just happen to work for a hardwood timber mill so I think flooring wont be a problem![]()
Yes, white would be best. Also, I use paper for backdrops, and it is such a PAIN for me to use it on carpet. If I don't find something hard or flat to put down, the paper just rips over and over again when people step on it. So--if you ever go the paper route, you'll definitely prefer to have wood floors.
White and wood flooring sounds like the way to go! Looks great! JEALOUS!
Wow, seriously awesome natural light in that room! So jealous! That's awesome, Cazz, looks like a fantastic room!

What a beautiful room I agree with others, white on the walls and wood flooring would be perfect.
