Default The Sweetest Baby Girl! **EDITS POST #7**

She slept the ENTIRE time! woke up only to eat and then back to sleep. this was my first time shooting wide open (2.8 ) as well. I usually stay at 3.2 or so with my newbies. Would love some cc esp on the BW. I tried making my own action and just wondering if it's ok. TIA

    1. f/2.8, 1/125, iso500

    the BW conversion:

    2.f/2.8, 1/250 iso 500

What sweet pics! Great job shooting wide open! The B&W looks good to me, I don't have any cc on it. I love the second one as well, but there is something about it that makes me feel like it is leaning towards the left. I don' think it really is, but maybe its the black dots on the background that are tricking my eyes. Maybe a tighter crop would work better for my eyes. Great job!

Saw these on facebook...lovely work. I think you could easily bump up the midtones on that bw image. The skin is looking a little muddy to me. I really love #2, but wish I couldn't see the bend in the paper. A closer crop would probably fix this completely.

I second this. I can see it bumping in midtones and maybe pulling out a touch of red. It's a beautiful shot! Try a tighter crop on #2 and see if it brings the attention to the baby. My eyes are busy processing all of the lines, dots, and textures instead of focusing on the baby girl.

Great job! I always look forward to your newborn work!

I agree. These are so adorable and #1 is my favorite. #2 just needs that "bump up" that others mentioned, for the skin. #3 appears to be angled to me too like Jess said....I would also do a tighter crop.

These are great! YOu have great CC already. But I wanted to add that the first one, the wrinkles in the background are distracting to me. I think a tighter crop would be good on the second one, because you can see where the paper isn't flat in the lower left corner. But adorable baby!

thanks for the cc all! i went back and upped the midtones a bit in my BW action and increased the crop in both images and slightly turned the 3rd image. How do they look now?

I think that more than did it! This set looks AMAZING!!! There may still be a touch of red in #1, but I'm at work on an awful monitor, so take that for what it's worth.

    LOVE the b&w!

These are beautiful. I really love #1 as it is such a perfect image of a peaceful, sleeping baby. #3 looks awesome with the slight tilt edit you did.
