    Default Taking the plunge..

and getting an indoor setup. I wasn't planning on ever doing this, but I keep having to turn away potential clients because I don't have anything for indoor. I could have had a contract with a local politician a few weeks back, but had to turn it down, and that was kind of my breaking point.
Anyway, I'm thinking of getting an Alien Bee 400 and a Westcott 50x50 softbox. Anyone else have this set up? or really, any other set up that you love? I'm open to suggestions!

I don't have those lights. I have my Speedlite and a shoot through umbrella for my indoor stuff. haven't done any indoor with flash in a long time, and need to practice it again.

    I just hit "purchase."
    Here's what I got.
    An alien bee 400
    Westcott 50x50 softbox
    wireless triggers
    heavy duty lightstand
and 3 rolls of seamless....107" bone, 53" coral, and 53" sky blue. I'm wanting thunder gray too, but decided to wait for awhile. Maybe for Christmas?
I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. Stay tuned for lots of pictures to CC!

i got the alien bee, stand, and triggers at alienbees.com
i got the softbox and one roll of paper at B&H
and I got the other 2 rolls at adorama (shipping was WAY cheaper at adorama, but they didn't have the sky blue there, so I had to get that one at B&H.)
I don't know how I'm going to wait patiently until it all gets here!

Just a heads up for the future; the B&D Alaska Blue is the same as the Savage Sky Blue. If you are unsure, we can send samples of both FOC so you can compare.

Oh how exciting!!! can't wait to see what you do with it all! I can't wait to have my own set up someday! Maybe in a couple years. There's no room in this house for anything anymore! Much less a set up. We are moving overseas, then in about a year from now we will be house hunting and I'll know what to look for! I want a big room ALL to myself
