My vote is for a Mac, but that's just me. We are an apple oriented family at home but I use PC at work. I just think that the Mac caters better to this medium, again JMHO.
It take me less than a minute to boot up and shut down my computer every day just an FYI lol

Ended up with a Dell Inspiron One- All in One computer. I like it so far. It even came with Adobe PS Elements 9.0! I don't have to bother with downloading it to this one! Whoop Whoop!
Please do tell us more about those all-in-ones---I hadn't heard of them until I started pricing/browsing online last week. Do they have internal CD/DVD drives?
Yes, there is a cd/dvd spot. It's nice b/c I dont' have to find room for a tower. I have limited space, especially since this will be in my dining room. This is the one I bought. I asked my cousin all sorts of questions and he said this one would be fine. I am loving it so far. It's so different from going from a laptop to this. The screen is amazing.
I have a on-site tech support guy (DH) so I haven't put in the effort to research computers if you gave me a price range I can generally tell you which is the better computer to buy but that's about it. Glad you got a computer you like, DH and I are both due for new PC's my desktop is 5 years old and though it still runs smoothly it could use some more juice for some of the things I like to do.

Thanks for the link!!! how did you get Elements with it? I also notice it doesn't have any office programs with it, which I'll have to get. Plus I'll be running Quickbooks on it too. Did you get a new printer as well?
Also does it have that "easy transfer" ability to connect to your old PC and transfer all your files over?
