Any of these work? I really like the tree shots those of you on ilp have seen. Can any of these with pp look like that? I mean I know that most of them have amazing fancy decorated trees but I really wanted to make these look "wow how did you do that" rather than "cool I should do that" kwim?
I know that my photo's aren't as great as theirs but I'm hoping some of it is just knowing how to pp
Only thing I've done is run Neat Image and sharpen for web (the brighter ones I "bounced" my flash with the white card).
These are my fave:
1) 1/8 f/5.6 iso800
2) 1/8 f/5.6 iso800
I love the hands on the hips, maybe cute as the back of the card
3) 1/13 f/4.5 iso800
These are the next best
4) 1/8 f/5.6 iso800
5) 1/8 f/5.6 iso800
6) 1/13 f/4.5 iso800

I really like #1.
The picture in this thread is maybe one from ILP you're talking about?

They added a texture to help it look that cool.
Can I have a play (you know I'm going to!!!)

Okay...couldn't resist....here is my play. As always it's private in flickr and I'll take it down lickety split. Let me know.
I'd also be happy to do it to the full size image if you like.
But, if you want to try to do it on your own, I used the Nichole Van Indoors Color Pop action which basically consists of a saturation boost layer, and a contrast boost as well as a vignette. I tweaked that and reduced the saturation and contrast boost on Evan. Then I added a texture with an Overlay layer mode. I removed the texture from Evan's skin and clothes. That's pretty much it.
A lot of the success here depends on the texture.

no I hadn't seen that one but yes thats the feel I'm going for.
Great playI will try myself tomorrow just to try and learn (actually I think maybe I'll post at ilp for cc too).
However I really don't want to mess this up and with time running out I may take you up on that offerthanks
