TTC??? ME?

Clearly not photography related...but you know. LOL

We've batted the idea around for quite some time, but on Christmas Eve, DH said he thought that we should stop putting it off. If I want to, we can TTC.

I was half very excited, and half scared out of my wits! We've got a really cohesive thing going here. Things are going very smoothly, Nathan has gotten to a great place and we're just working like clockwork. Am I really ready to do it all again?

Christmas Eve/Day was a really restless sleep. But I've decided that it's a YES, we're going to stop preventing more than we are going to start trying...but we're gonna do it.

YIKES!

that's so exciting!

the good news is that Nathan's a great age to be a big brother. I think it's a lot harder when you have them closer together. (I don't recommend the 20 month difference of my first two to anyone!)

Congrats! That is very exciting news! I'm a bit nervous to disturb our happy routine that we have finally settled into as well. Oh well. It will all be worth it!!:D

Good luck Amber, that is very exciting!!! I had the exact same feelings you do when we decided to try for #2. I was also very worried about how it would affect Luke. But it all worked out so perfectly, and giving Luke a sibling was probably the best gift we ever could have given him. There was certainly an adjustment period, but it was nothing like going from 0-1 kids (IMO). The age gap was perfect also (Luke was 3 1/2 when Jake was born) as he is independent enough now to both take care of himself when he needs to (food, bathroom, etc), and help me out if he can. Smile

That was way, way to long of a response lol. Congrats and good luck!! Biggrin

No...that was a perfect response. Thanks so much for letting me know how well it's going for you. I'm getting really excited!

Congrats! I think the age difference will be great! DS will be not quite 3 when this LO arrives and although I'm totally fine with still changing diapers for DS too, it's more of the whole "we are meshing as a family of 3 so well that I'm afraid what will change!" Smile

Awesome!!! I forgot how awesome babies were until I had Liam, and its weird but its different with the second one than the first, you can almost enjoy them more because you dont worry about all the stuff you worry about with the first one

Good Luck!!

I too think he's at the right age to start. Ruthie was 3 when Randy was born and she was a HUGE help! I loved watching her with him. I wish you the best of luck! I do agree that going from 1 to 2 is a big difference, but I was also working. If you get to stay-at-home, I think you'll have an easier transition!

Very exciting!! I feel the exact same way you do---we want to have another, but at the same time it's scary only because we've worked so hard to get to a "smooth place" or "routine" with our first, and it'd be all upside down for awhile if we have another...but it'd be SO worth it! And I'm starting to realize the truth in what everyone's saying about the bigger age gap---Eva can do so many things herself now and she'd be a great helper once she's used to the idea!!! Smile The biggest thing I worry about (besides $$$$) is going back to extreme lack of sleep!!! that was the worst part....lol
