U2 up close :)

U2 is my favorite band ever, I haven't missed a tour since the first time I saw them in '87 on the Joshua Tree tour. I saw them last night in Charlottesville, VA and was pretty close to the stage. Smile

I took these with my P&S - I did have it on manual mode, as I was trying to get the best exposure possible. And I'm mad because I put in a fresh battery before I left, but it started dying with an hour left in the show. I practiced a lot on the opening band (and deleted most of those) trying to get the settings right. Here are some of my favorites. Smile

These are from Facebook, hope you can see them

I'm laughing now because of the upside down ticket, I can't believe I didn't notice that at the time. I guess I was just too excited.

After the show

I LOVE U2 as well!! I was at the chicago show at soldier field a few weeks back. It was hands down the best show I have ever seen. Looks like you were SUPER close! How cool! How was this show compared to others you've seen?

U2 is my favorite band too. I have all their albums. This is so cool that you were able to go to their concert. I bet it was full!!

Actually, I think the previous tour was better. I was just as close then too (but didn't know we were allowed to bring cameras, so I didn't have mine :() I was 6 months pregnant with Natalie. I was very pregnant with Andrew the tour before that and had nosebleed seats.

I honestly don't remember too much about some of the past tours in my college days. Well, I do remember Zooropa and that was a cool tour.

But I think Dismantle was the best show of all of the ones I've seen. I need to make a list some day, just to have it. I would have to really go digging to find those ticket stubs, I know I have them somewhere.

Wow, how awesome! I'm totally jealous! I've only ever been to little local Christian concerts in my lifetime... and one other concert right out of high school where I met DH. Smile
