    Default Ugh! Blue tint

I got kind of a cute picture of my daughter today, but one of the things I'm TRYING to learn about taking good pictures is to remember to check ALL of my settings when I take the camera out... which is something I forgot today. (Had the camera on tungsten lighting instead of AWB or outdoor setting.) The photo has a horrible blue tint to it. I don't have PhotoShop and am not very good at editing, but I tried to fix it. Just wondering if anyone has input on the edit job I did.

    Here's SOOC:

    And here's my fix:

    TIA!

that's a serious tint! you did a pretty good job of removing it. I'm at work on a terrible monitor, but to me the edit looks a bit green now. I would probably try to add some magenta and move away from the green.

Here's my quick version--still has a lot that needs to be done--the left side of the picture is severely blown (no detail left), but I was able to remove most of the blue cast. The color still doesn't look right to me, but I don't have a lot of time to play and get it perfect.

Oh, thank you so much for taking the time to play! It looks so much better! I'm going to try to play a little myself as see if I can reproduce that kind of look.

I do know that the left part of the hat is blown, so yeah, that part is beyond repair, sadly. I'm still struggling a lot to figure out how to avoid that. It happens to me a lot. I have an incredible amount of learning to do, and I'm really thankful to be able to do some of that learning here from all of you!

Oh, that happend a lot to me when I first switched to manual! I hated when I got sweet, adorable pictures like that, but awful blue tints! I'll admit that I still do it occasionally...

I agree that your play has a bit too much green in it. But man, that is such a good picture of Grace! I'd be trying to save this one as well! Good luck!
