What do you think of the skin tones in these??
p.s. don't get freaked by my sons eyes...they are crossed, he has strabismus and hopefully will have surgery in the new year to have it corrected.

Cant help with skin tones but these are cuteYour son is handsome and has beautiful eyes! I have a kiddo with a lot of eye problems too
Your red channel is blown (255). Perhaps your WB is off?
I brought it into ACR, used the white balance tool and selected the background. It reduced temp -5 blue, -7 in red tint (I brought that even down more to -10, his skin still looked slightly red). He was still blowing the red channel on his cheek and nose. I reduced exposure by -0.50. Some values are a bit high for me (247ish) but they should print okay. I resized and sharpened (maybe too much).
You are getting there!!!!!
Ok, it totally does not look like this in photoshop. The background here looks pinkish! grrr Flickr!!

Thanks Stacey...
I didn't use a grey card for these images so def. could be that my wb was off....but seems my images are always a little hot...is it a nikon thing?!
anyway, thanks for the play by play that looks much better in the skin department, thanks for taking the time to do that for me.
I wish I was better with the skin tones edit ... and if I had had some free time, I would have played too.![]()
OH My what a cutie! Love his hair and his little vest! Skin does look a bit warm to me. I have a Nikon too, hmmm.... mine always runs a bit magenta too.
Just saw this thread and I loved your pics. His outfit is adorable and so colorful, and he's a doll
My daughter is 2 1/2 and she developed a crossed eye in 2008, due to the removal of a congenital cataract when she was 3 months old (in Sept 2007). They straightened her eye in Oct '08.
Your son is adorable! My son also had strabismus, but his left eye went out rather than in (the doc said inward drift is actually more common). We had surgery a few months ago, and he's recovered nicely. I'm still seeing a little bit of drift (both up/down and in/out), but the doctor wants to monitor it for a while before we consider surgery again. He did say that repeat surgeries are sometimes needed. You son has a beautiful eye color, BTW!
I like the photos and just have one off-the-wall comment. Do the letters represent his name or initials? As a series, I think they work well together. However, at first glance, the O looks a little like a child's fit-on potty seat, so I'd prefer to see one of the other letters in his mouth. Again, this is probably just my wacky imagination. Other than that, I love the composition of the first shot!
--BTW, the shot below is one a friend took a week or two after Tyler's surgery. You can still see the redness in the corners of his eyes. It went away quickly.
