Thread: USM and printing?

Do I need to sharpen my photo for printing if I've run an action on it that included sharpening?

I'm still messing with Jack's portraits, and I really love the Perfect Portrait action from Rita. There's a sharpen early on, but I'm thinking it's more of a defog. So should I sharpen again before printing? I'm printing an 8x10.

Hard to say when you've already sharpened in an action.

When I sharpen, I do it after resizing and for print, USM at 75,2,3.

I sharpen with the specs that Stacey gave.

From what I've seen, Rita always warns you to be careful about oversharpening after using her actions. But that's all I k now.
