It's snowing here today and since we can't go outside I thought I'd do my first REAL shoot. Boy did learn A LOT. The lighting was bad because it's so cloudy. I also couldn't find a great way to bounce my flash.
This is my fav, but I have a few others I like. I would love any CC.

LOL - she's cute. I'd brighten it up a bit.
What a cute girl!!! Love the expression on her face! lol! Looks a bit on the magenta side to me.
oh, too cute!!!! I'd love to see a close crop on her face. and definitely brighten her up.

Thanks for the advice! I haven't had much time to play, but I'm hoping to tonight. I'll work on brightening it up and taking out some of the magenta. I really see that now!
How in the world to you guys get consistant post processing on multiple pics? I find I play with a pic and then when I do the next one nothing looks the same. I guess I just need to play closer attention to what I'm doing.
Gwen - I thougth about doing a closer crop, but I couldn't figure it out with chopping her hands or arms...any ideas?
What a cutie!
I agree with PP, brighten it up a bit. I'm so bad at this. I don't see these things on my own, but once someone else says it, I can then see it. I guess looking at lots of photos is the only way to get better.
If I have to change alot about a photo, Ill write down the steps or just make an action out of it to apply to other photos. But I agree with Stacey about getting it as close as you can in camera. Even if you have to practice on a doll during her nap time!
Thanks girls. I know I've really got to learn to nail the in camera stuff. I just didn't know if there were any tricks PP on making consistant changes.
Well, I haven't had much chance to play. I think I've decided to use this picture for her Valentine's cards. I've found a cute template on Ritzpix.com that I can print and pick up. It's just going to grandparents, teachers, and a few other family...so nothing huge....
How does this one look color/brightness wise? Is it still too red/magenta?
On another note, I decided to upgrade my camera (even though it's not a HUGE difference). I've sold my XT through craigslist (actually made money off of that camera!) and should be receving my T1i today. It was a hard choice deciding which one to buy...I toiled FOREVER! Any who, I'm really excited to get my new toy and since there is a bit of change left, I'm going to get Photoshop Elements 8. It's Christmas all over again
Awesome! I just got the T1i too. Hopefully we both can learn here at the same time I can't really comment on the color since I'm not sure if this monitor is super-accurate but it could maybe use a hint of brightening? It's so cute though
