Hey all, just thought I'd share some pics from our VERY busy summer. With my brother's family here, and my sister, and my parents... whew... it's been crazy busy. But fun. I have shared some pics on Flashback Friday threads, so I won't share everything here, but there's lots more I haven't shared yet. So anyway, here's some stuff from our summer. If you have summer pics to share, and haven't done so on a Flashback Friday thread, PLEASE DO SO HERE!!!
We went to Whistler (one of the Vancouver/Whistler 2010 Olympic sites) for a night with my family. Here's our little family at the top of the world.
And the view from up there:
And some little 'friends' we encountered on the mountain top:
My nephew on the famous Peak 2 Peak tram - the longest continuous tram of its kind, and the highest, in the world:
From inside the tram:
The view from one of the two mountains that the Peak 2 Peak goes between. The view from the other mountain was shown above.
Wrong lens on the camera at the time, but here's the Olympic rings. Nora and Micah are on the left, my niece is on the right.
DH with Micah on a snowmobile on top of the mountain:
One day we went to Fort Langley, "the birthplace of British Columbia". Here's my dad and DH with the kids, looking at an old boat:
The kids learned to do laundry the old-fashioned way:
Nora panning for gold:
At one of the local fairs, slow-mo "musical ride" by the RCMP:
My sister did manicures for the kids while she was here:
Up at my brother's acreage:
And lastly, from another local fair:
Sorry so much, but we've been having such a full, busy, fun summer, I can't resist sharing! Who's next?
Thanks, Amanda! Your butterfly pic is so neat - that must've been a thrill for Dana! Nora got to hold a butterfly when they had done some caterpillars/cocoons at her school, and she talked about it for weeks. Love the caterpillar too!
Natalie is the same age as Micah (5 days younger) she is going through a phase where she is terrified of bugs, the butterfly was on her hand for a second before she freaked out so we passed it to Dana, who's never had a problem with bugs.
