Way different for me
I thought I'd share this photo that I took yesterday. It's an old grocery store converted into a restaurant that hangs off into a swamp. My husband is going to take me to eat there later this week. We drove past it yesterday, and I took a few photos. I'm not much of a landscape photographer, and my husband wanted an "O Brother Where Art Thou?" edit to it, so it's definitely not something that I do. I just wanted to share it.
And I also want to add a second photo of the place. This is what it looks like from the side! I think I'm crazy for even considering going into that building ;)
Stephanie, I really like it! The processing is perfect on it - really great feel/atmosphere!
As far as going in there... sounds like fun to me! One of the best restaurants in the last town we lived in was an old dive (would've been great featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives"!), really old building, but clean and well-kept inside the restaurant, and awesomely delicious, 100% unhealthy food.
I'm definitely looking forward to it...but I may sit by the door ;)
My husband went there with his team from work about a month ago on our last visit here. He said the food is amazing and they're known for burgers the size of hubcaps. I guess, when his company sent out land surveyors to assess a building they were thinking of buying, they said that they weren't sure about it because of all of the fault lines, and swampy areas around here. That's when the locals brought them to Cothams. They figured that if that place could stand up, the building they were looking at would be fine haha!
LOVE IT! put on a white ruffle dress and cowgirl boots when you go and have him get a shot of you on that green bench! Okay I know that is alot to ask lol but I can totally see it! Or your boys turned like they are going inside with their boots on!
Very neat building and great shot/edit.
We ate there the day before yesterday, and the food was amazing! It was your typical delicious southern food. I had every intention of getting a burger since we were going out for a "fancy" dinner that night for our anniversary, but then I saw chicken and dumplings on the menu. Let's just say I couldn't pass that up ;)
We sat in the middle of the building, and every time the waitresses walked by, I could just feel the floor shaking lol! Definitely an awesome experience, and I'll have to take everyone who visits me there. So, who's coming to visit after my big move? ;)
