Went to the park today (pic heavy)

So DH and I went to the park and I took my first stab at portrait type photography, there are some other pics of flowers and one of a squirrel that I thought was cute. All of them are SOOC and any recommendations on posing on the one of DH would be greatly appreciated as I dont really have an idea of what im doing lol

This husky was too gorgeous to pass up:

great pictures Smile so green! I am not that great at posing so I have no advice there. But I just wanted to point out that you should practice rule of thirds. Smile try not to center your subjects too much. If you do you could always crop later and play around that way. good job! the squirrel is cute! how did you get so close to it without it running away? lol

Great job, I agree with the PP try to always think about composition and the rule of thirds. Your photos are a bit to centered but great job non the less! Smile

Looks GREAT! I really love #6. The yellow against the white really pops! From the shadows, I'd say this was taken in full sun, but in this instance it works really well. I even like the centered composition as the flower really commands your attention.

Nicely done!

The only posing tip I have is to try to keep more "empty" or active space in front of your DH next time. So in other words, apply the rule of thirds, and make sure the space is in front of him so the viewer isn't left wondering what he was looking at (before the photo, I suppose, since this one is of him looking at the camera obviously!)

Great shots, though. I love the saturation in them. The one of the pink flowers looks a little bit TOO saturated, though! It looks weird on my screen. Otherwise, keep it up! Smile

*sigh* I miss seeing green all the time. But give me a week and the whole area here will be green thanks to the rain we've gotten.

Looks like ya'll had a good time at the park. Do you happen to have the settings so I could give detailed cc for you? Smile

They were with my p&s so I normally just put it in auto mode dont adjust the settings. I havent been brave enough to play with manual mode lol I want to try and get my composition style down before I play with settings.
