What I've been up to - {would love CC}

Trying to get better shots of my little guys. I would love CC but I don't *need* it. Smile Oh, and don't worry - I don' tthink I'm a REAL photogrpaher or anywhere close - just watermarked these to deter people from posting them on their own Flickrs. You know, board stalkers, etc.

Here's Ashi:

And here's Rami:

Rami's photos were taken with my neighbor's L-series 85/1.2. Obviously, there's a difference. But Ashi also moves a lot faster. Biggrin

Thanks for looking!

Drool on the L-series 85mm. I wanted to get that unfortunately couldn't afford it. I do have the 85mm f1.8. Awesome catchlights on these. My favorite is the last one. So crisp and clear. Can't really comment on color since I am uncalibrated here at work.

cute, great catchlights and focus, on the last in retrospect i'd suggest a smaller ap to get both eyes in focus

your boys are so cute. Smile

the comp bugs me on the first one, mainly because of the double limb chop. I guess I'd like it better more backed up so we could also see what he was looking at.

love the action of the second! he's in focus too, looks good!

LOVE the catchlights in 3. good focus too

Rami seems to be absorbing some color from the grass ... but that's an awesome lens, I love how his eyes are so clear. I agree about the smaller ap on the last, to get both eyes in focus. but I also know how these babies can move! the second one of him seems to be underexposed, but you can brighten him up a bit. love that you're having fun with someone else's lens. I need to find someone with a lens to share. Wink

Yep, yep. That's in camera crop. But you would think with a zoom lens I would have just backed it up. D'oh!

Rami is ALWAYS getting this color from the grass! Grrr.
Okay, inevitably, I post pictures on here and they are underexposed! And I didn't notice it before! Which, I suppose, is why I post here. Smile Thankfully, you only said that one's underexposed instead of the lot of them like I was taking a couple months ago. Smile

Yes, the lens is to die for. I've set my sights on the 24-70 L series, it's one of the cheapest at $1200  Can't decide if I should get a better camera first...I'm currently trying to squeeze all I can out of my Rebel Xt. Ugh.

Luckily, my neighbor is awesome and exchanges lens use for home-baked bread cheerfully, so I'm borrowing it again this weekend for when our friends come in from out of town with their 7-month old.

Thanks for all your comments, ladies. I see what you mean, Gwen, about lots of views and hardly any comments (not that I don't appreciate yours!) It's like, are the shots THAT bad?

You really rocked that L glass. Wow!

In both sets, my favorites are the 2nd ones. Love the emotion and action you caught in Ashi's pic. That pic just SCREAMS *BOY*! Boys are on the move, especially at that age and you captured the true spirit of the age, I think. NICE WORK!

Rami seems to have the most INCREDIBLE personality and you really did a great job of showing it here. I love his expression in his first pic, but the limb chop spoils it for me. The 2nd pic seems to have it all in place. There may be a slight green hue, but that is just to be expected with one so close to the grass (here he'd look brown b/c all of our grass has died in the heat).

Thanks for sharing - you are doing GREAT!

Best,
GiGi

Thanks! I've been trying to get a good running pic for some time. It's getting harder to get a natural smile out of him - the camera has jaded him Biggrin

Hello! Adorable kids!! Your color looks good to me in all of them!

#1- Love the expression, but wish he had eye contact with the camera and the limb chopping is bugging me. (I do it all the time...sigh)

#2 - My favorite, love his expression, love how you captured his movement and great exposure and focus! He's adorable.

#3 - Love his eyes!!

#4 - Comp doesn't do too much for me here.

#5 - Love the DOF and love his little personality coming out here, but...limb chop Sad

#6 - LOVE THIS!! I would totally print and frame it!

#7 & #8 - Nice catchlights. I agree with some others in that I wish both eyes were in focus in #8.

P.S. I am with you with getting the most out of my rebel xt Smile
