I took nearly 200 pics tonight, and only got a small handful of decent ones, and none that I'm in LOVE with. I HATE shooting my own kids...I'd rather clean the toilet!
Here's a quick share...
Hmm...skintones looking a little gray here...gonna have to redo this one.
The only SEMI decent one of my youngest...you take what you get, I guess...
They are SO cute!
I SO know what you mean! They are my only subjects and I get SO discouraged sometimes. As much as I look at my pics and can pick out TONS of flaws, I know that I am ending up with TONS of pictures of my sweet babies. And while they may not be perfect pictures that I would want framed or on canvas, I am capturing memories and the way they are today, because tomorrow always comes WAY too quickly.
I agree, I think these are great! I struggle with Randy- he looks about the same age as your youngest. It's the age. I am never 100% satisfied with his pics.
LOVE #1 & 2! Great job!
Sadie- mommy to Ruthie & Randy
For what it's worth, what you did get were fantastic
I agree, that the frustration is there now, but when you look back on them in a year or two, all that you will see are the perfect memories of your kids. I get sooooo frustrated too when neither of my kids will even glance toward the camera (especially since they are my only subjects). Maybe some day they'll want to look at us, right? hahaha!
I STRUGGLE with photographing my own kids, but you got some killer shots there!!!!

Don't be so hard on yourself, these are great! I like your black and whites.
My daughter will let ANYONE take pictures of her. She'll pose, smile act all cute. For me? It's always 'No Mommy!' and turns away or runs away
