Amanda, I'm glad Dana will get a different coach next year!

Mary, horray for bonus day off!

Virginia, love the new pics. haha. Thanks for the prediction, Raymond! haha. Honestly, I have no preference as to boy or girl. It'd be nice to have a girl because it'd be nice to have one of each, but at the same time I think having two boys would be a lot of fun - plus I have tons of clothes!

AFM, not much going on. I have one more test and will probably use it tomorrow just to "make sure" before I run to the doctors office to verify my pregnancy. They just use in IC type test there, so I didn't want to go when I was 10dpo on Tues, just in case it didn't register. I'll be 13dpo tomorrow, though, so it should show. Then I can schedule my first appt, which won't be until 7/8 weeks. I have to take Xander with me, though, so that should be interesting. He HATES the doctors office and cries the second we walk in the waiting room. I'm hoping if I explain to him that we're there for ME and that no one will touch him that he'll be okay. Plus he'll get an Elmo sticker from reception. hahaha.

Mary - yay for a mental health day breaking up the 9 day stretch! 9 days is brutal!

Amanda - definitely protect your daughter, I'm all for not subjecting kids to people who are nasty. Hope that all works out

Virginia - OMG your siggy pic! I LOVE IT! They all look so big though! You're going to have to TTC soon Such a great pic though.

Lauren - CONGRATS!!!!!!!!! I'll go post in the other thread too but YAY for a new prego!

AFM - nothing exciting here. Boys have stayed healthy, Rory goes tomorrow to have his ears rechecked and get his shots if all is well. He's a rolling machine now so I can no longer leave him on our bed unattended (I used to leave him there while I showered in the morning etc). Our weekend is quiet. DH bought new golf clubs (I have heard about NOTHING but golf clubs for weeks......I get that it's an expensive investment but seriously I don't care about drivers and irons and whatever else) so he's hoping to get out golfing at some point.

Amanda - I'm glad Dana will have a different coach next year. I hope she has a much better season.

Lauren - GL with the doc and Xander. Can you bring some little gift for him (if the sticker isn't incentive enough)? Alex will do almost anything for a matchbox car. I actually brought Raymond to all my appointments when I was pregnant with Alex. It wasn't too bad, but he was younger and has never minded the doctor's office. He loved hearing the HB on the doppler.

Katie - yay for healthy boys! GL keeping up with Rory.

AFM: got some sleep last night, but I was up 3-4 times with the boys. Hopefully tonight will be better.
In the siggy pic I had spent the day running the big boys around playgrounds and such in the hot weather. So, they crashed on the couch around dinner time. I couldn't resist the chance to get an easy pic of the three, so I put Oliver with them. Yeah, Katie, they are big. It feels kind of weird to have that first bday coming and not be TTC. But, I like the idea of a little more time between them.

Virginia, sorry the boys were up so much. That's gotta be rough!

Katie, hope Rory's appt goes well. lol at your DH and his golf clubs.

AFM, Doctors appointment went well. Xander was a good boy because I told him that I had to go pee pee for the doctor. So the ENTIRE time we were in the waiting room he kept excitedly saying "Mommy pee pee Cocktor" (he didn't get the D right, haha). So that was cute, though embarrassing. haha. However, he saw our usual nurse for all of 2 seconds and almost started bawling. I guess I know the problem! She's the one that gives him shots! HA! She's this older woman and she's very hot-and-cold. She's either in a great mood and super nice or she's a total B. Guess what her mood was today? She acted like I was absolutely insane for even coming in there to confirm my pregnancy (even though it's what I was told to do) and then after she said it was positive she had to throw in "oh, but it was very very faint" and kind of shook her head at me as if she was implying my pregnancy was doomed or something. It's like, um, I'm 3w6d, of course it's faint! You use IC tests! She just had this tone with me the whole time. I only wanted to confirm now so I could set up my appt. Those slots fill FAST and I need a morning slot, so I wanted to do it asap. But due to her mood she wouldn't let me set up my appt before 12 weeks! TWELVE! WTF? I got in at 8 weeks last time! I mentioned that and she was like "well we can't even hear the heartbeat until 11 weeks and we just don't do appts before 12." Keep in mind I was not being pushy or anything, I was being a normal nice human being. I wasn't pushing for an early appt or anything. I just don't know why she had to be that way with me... So I don't even see my doctor until JUNE 22! I will be almost done with the first trimester! Now for me this isn't a huge deal, I KNOW how to take care of myself during pregnancy... But what about other moms-to-be that are clueless and aren't able to check the Internet for information on diet, exercise, self-care, etc. You're having these women go through their entire first trimester with absolutely no guidance. I don't get it, but whatever.

    Sorry, rant over. haha.

sorry the nurse was such a pain, Lauren. You could always call back later and try to reschedule.

AFM: CD13 and my body is doing absolutely nothing. I kind of like it. Oliver has been nursing a lot, so I should probably thank him.
I'm feeling pretty crummy right now. It's probably the stress and lack of sleep over the past few weeks. But, a few weeks ago DH was trying to decide whether to take this week or next off from work (he has vacation to use up) and he scheduled this week then I pushed him to change it because this was school vacation week (not for us, but most in the area) and I though it would be better to be off when the big kids were in school. So, he changed it. Now this week the weather has been beautiful every day and next week they're forecasting rain every day. I feel terrible.

ETA: okay, so I just remembered what I wanted to type. DH and I have been invited to a wedding. This is big news, since the only weddings we've attended were our own and my sister's. We're pretty popular folks. So, how do I decide what I should wear? I know nothing about style or dresses or anything. Is it acceptable to wear the bridesmaid dress from my sister's wedding? I think it's this dress (or close enough) in pretty much that color. Maybe a little more teal http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_...esmaid-Dresses
I hope it still fits (I was 8w pregnant) I should probably check that, huh? Oh, and it's an evening outdoor wedding in late June.

Lauren - Sorry your nurse was a big B. Don't let her ruin your excitement! I think with Sean, my first appointment was at 8 weeks, so it's not like you're abnormal in expecting to get in sooner than 12 weeks. After the m/c and then all the bleeding with Calvin, I pretty much spent my entire first trimester in the doc's office with Calvin.

Virginia - I would think that dress is appropriate. I'm in my SIL's wedding here in about 4 weeks. It's the first wedding for us since our own webbing 3.5 years ago, hahah. It's kinda nice to be a bridesmaid, so I don't have to worry about what to wear. I hope your DH's vacation ends up a nice one.

Katie - LOL at your DH's fixation on the golf clubs. My mgr at work always asks me if my husband golfs, because he's all into golf and wants to talk about it. Hahaha... So that reminded me of him. And no, my DH doesn't really golf.

AFM - My day off work was okay. Sean was a crabby butt for the first half of the day. We were up too late last night, so it's probably our fault more than his, but it made for a less-then-fun morning. I made veggie soup for dinner and Calvin loved it. He was chowing, hahaha. Oh, and we got a check for almost $400 for over-paying our escrow, woohoo... Like finding money you forgot you had. We'll put it into the savings for our next house. We're motivated to get out of here, but the hardest part is finding me new employment. Oh well, we have plenty of time, especially if we're going to build a house.

Lauren - I think you're totally right, that seems late! My doc always does an early apt to review history, go over the basics etc etc It was lame for me but necessary for many I'm sure! And Evan came with me to most my apts. I kept him strapped in his stroller though - if not he'd have been all over the room. Sit still isn't really his gig! He's getting better though he's come to the ped with Rory a couple times and basically sat in place when asked.

Virginia - I think it depends on the wedding. Evening, outdoor, late June I think that dress would work. Satin is typically a more formal evening fabric so if it's a really low key wedding you might be over dressed.....if it's formal (DH in a suit) to black tie I'd think you'd be fine. I always complain to DH when we have something like this b/c he is always safe. He can always wear a suit and be ok. I have a plethora of levels of dressed up I COULD be and it's stressful! Luckily most of our friends have fairly laid back weddings so it's not so hard to figure out. THe last wedding we went to was a lesbian couple finally able to marry after 15 years together, they didn't wear dresses, not your typical wedding

Mary - YAY for found money! That is the best. I'm sure you'll find something and like you said you have time. Might as well save now DH loves to golf....he doesn't have a ton of time TO golf but clubs last a long time so he'll get plenty of use out of them. I just want him to share his love with someone who cares LOL

The weather is so nice here! We've been out playing and enjoying. I think we;re going to go this week and order a playset for the yard. I'm excited. They will come install it etc. Evan will LOVE it. Oh I LOVE summer!!

Virginia - honestly, I think that dress is a little too formal unless, like Katie said, you know this is a fancy schmancy wedding and everyone is going to be in suits and stuff. Most outdoor summer weddings I've been to are more laid back and most guests are wearing sundresses and the like. Only the wedding party tends to wear fancier stuff. You might want to ask some other people. Even just flat-out ask the bride if need be!

Mary - horray for extra money! Glad you got to add to the house fund.

Katie - I'm sure the boys would love a playset!

AFM, got a big glob of brown CM this morning, so that sucks. I had the same thing happen with Xander a few times, so I'm trying not to worry. As long as it's brown and not very much I'll look at it as normal. And like I said, it's the CM, not straight up blood if you kwim. Fingers crossed that it doesn't turn into anything more. Especially because my in-laws are here for the weekend and I really don't want to deal with that while they're here. They went with DH and Xander to tumbling, so I get a little bit of alone time to just sit here and relax and drink tons of water.

Lauren - I hope it's just some old blood left over from implantation. You gave me flash backs to my pregnancy with Calvin when you mentioned you didn't want to deal with it for your IL visit. My SIL and BIL-to-be were in town visiting from St. Louis when I hit the peak of my bleeding with Calvin. They were supposed to stay at my house for Labor Day weekend. They showed up late Friday night, like near midnight, and it was right then that my bleeding started. It was HEAVY and scary, and my m/c was fresh in my brain. So I trapped myself in my bedroom like a hermit the next morning while DH entertained them and our kids, and occasionally brought me food/drinks. We made them go stay with MIL and FIL for the rest of the weekend. I was able to get in to see my OB on Monday, even though it was Labor Day (I was worried they'd be closed). My bleeding had stopped by that point, and it never came back. I was around 13 weeks at that point.

Katie - Yay for a new play set. I was soooo excited last year when we ordered ours. I hope it's easy for us to take with us whenever we do get to move.

AFM - Thank goodness we managed to get some good sleep last night. I was at the point of sleep deprivation where I start to get super evil, hahaha. The bar was HORRIFIC on Friday night, but thankfully they were pretty quiet last night. And the kids slept well... They must have been exhausted too, because they both passed out on my lap on the couch at 7:30-7:45pm. It was sweet. Sean was curled up under my left arm. Calvin was on my right, sleeping on his belly with his head on my lap. Soooo sweet. Then they pretty much stayed out until 8:45 this morning!! I needed that!
