2 weeks can make a big difference in how ready your body is, how ready baby is, and what labor is like. I say wait it out. I will happily wait until 42 weeks this time if that's what baby wants. I do not want to be induced ever again unless it's clearly necessary. Natural is a breeze compared to induction.

ETA: if I'm not around all that often it's because I'm probably doing my first craft fair mid-May. I'm busy crocheting like crazy to get ready. I'll can take some pictures if any of you are interested in seeing what I make (or offering price suggestions. that's the hardest part)

Mary - count me among the go on your own club but that's all I know. Rory was 8 days late and nearly 11lbs and I hardly tore, labored at home until 8cm and delivered him in about 20 minutes. I whined A LOT being late but I wouldn't be induced unless there were concerns. But it is all I know, plenty of people think induction is just fine

    Virginia - sure! Share!

AFM - just busy, work is crazy-pants and I'm tired! But it's good at least for now we'll see how I feel when the budget is officially mine.

Virginia - Yes, share! I wish I were crafty, but I'm not so much. I think I could be, but it's impossible to find the time right now. I want to see what you make and live vicariously through you, haha.

Katie - Glad work is going better.

AFM - I was awake most of the night in pain. For those on fb, sorry, I need to whine about it here too. It is really unbelievable. It wasn't any sort of good, productive pain... Not like contractions or anything. Just this stupid pelvis of mine. I got lucky with Calvin and didn't end up with much of the PSD, but it is BACK this time. I got lucky with a lot of things with Calvin... No m/s, no PSD. Of course, I had the bleeding, and to be honest, I'd take all the pain and nausea over the horrible feeling of seeing blood every time I went to the bathroom for an entire month. So I'll try to remember that, but omg, this pelvis has me miserable.

ETA: How is it April 25th already?!?! When April started, my EDD still felt sooo far away. Suddenly, it's only 16 days away.

ETA (again): Actually, 16 days still feels sooo far away, haha. I think that's the SPD pain talking.

Mary: sorry your in such pain. 16 days definitely seems like a long time when you're miserable Hope some Tylenol or something will at least make it tolerable! I'm kind of on the fence about induction since I've never done gone into labor without. I'd like to wait this one out but really it'll come down to if it's offered to me and how I'm feeling at that point. There is something to be said about the convenience of scheduling (especially w/needing people to take the other 2), buuuut really I'd love for my body to go on it's own when it and baby are ready to roll. We'll see. My doc doesn't like patients going much over a week past their EDDs so that's a factor too. Dane was really induced at 3 days late based on my O date, but based on LMP, he was 8 days late. This baby is going by LMP instead of O date (their office is inconsistent, they went by LMP with Brekke too, then O date with Dane) so I feel very comfortable going a week over knowing it's about 5 days off anyway. Sorry that got long winded! Sending you tons of labor vibes that your body will just do it's own thing here soon!

Amanda: glad it was a temp thing for your dad, but hoping things are just uphill from here!!

Katie: sorry your crazy busy. My DH has been nuts at work lately and he comes home ready to collapse! BTW, you'll love that my DH is on a kick lately that he loves the name Evan for this baby.

Brekke is working on her letter sounds at preschool (she really KNOWS them all but mixes up the lowercase letters sometimes, like b/d and j/g) so we've been practicing a LOT. Apparently, Dane has been listening because I asked her what "g" says at breakfast and Dane yells "GUH!". ROFL! We started clapping and saying "Yay!" for him and he was so proud of himself. It's supposed to be 70 here this weekend so I'm definitely looking forward to the warm weather! I'm so over the kids' winter clothes!

Ashley - That pretty much sums up my sentiments exactly. Being induced is all I know, and my deliveries have gone just fine. So I don't have any sort of deep loathing of induction. I would like the opportunity for it to happen naturally, but I'm not sure how willing I am to fight for it when I'm in so much discomfort already. And like you mentioned about being prepared to have people to take care of the kids, etc., induction does make that easier (unless it's a spur-of-the-moment induction like I had with Calvin.. it wasn't planned in advance). But I'm a little scared that I'll go into labor at work or have my water break there, and then I'm an hour away from my hospital, and also like 40-60 minutes from anyone who could come pick me up. So I'm essentially two hours from my hospital. Being that this is #3, I'm nervous that the labor would progress quickly, and also I'm concerned with getting the IV antibiotics in time since I am GBS+. I guess in the end, I'll be fine either way. My #1 goal is just to deliver a happy, healthy little baby. But if he decided he wanted to come, say, this weekend when I'm off work, that would be fine.

Woohoo for Dane and the letter sounds! It's so sweet when they learn new things.

AFM - Sorta TMI, but my left nipple has been SORE. I'm not optimistic about trying to BF if it's already incredibly sore without a newborn baby attached. Oye...

Mary - I hope all the aches and pains give you a break tonight.

Ashley - yay Dane! Oliver completely caught me off guard the other day when he counted to 14. where did that come from?

AFM: I'll do a new thread with my craft stuff.
15 weeks tomorrow. I wish I'd feel more movement.

Mary - boo for being so uncomfortable that stinks! At the end with Rory I felt awful. he was SO big and I had been preg for SO LONG. It was such a relief to deliver the beast! And I did go the night before my induction maybe you'll have that too

Ashley - that's so cute. Rory seems to pick up words so much faster than Evan did

    Virginia - yay for movement

I'm so not crafty. I love looking at what other people can do though. I have no talent or drive for making anything but spreadsheets though LOL

Thought I posted yesterday and came here today to find I forgot to submit .

Mary - Yay for making it longer with this pregnancy then with Calvin. Hope baby isn't causing you too much discomfort for you today.

Both my girls came in the night.

With Dana labour started at 7:00 am very mild, disappeared by noon, came back around 8:00 pm and I delivered at 2:00 am. Problem with me delivering Dana is I didn't have very close contractions until she was ready to come out.

Nat I was induced at 9:00 pm delivered at 10:00 pm, all BH happened at night too with Nat, just seemed when I went to wind down everything started to happen.

Ashley - It's wonderful that both your kids are picking up phonics already. Natalie can say the sound of most letters but some she still doesn't know the name of.

Virginia - Hope you feel some movement soon, mine never moved early.

    Katie - Hi

    *AFM*

Haven't heard from my mom since Wednesday, she said my dad was doing well then. I'll have to give her a call today.

Yesterday Nat was really testing her limits, she coloured on herself and her socks with marker (washable thankfully), she tasted some lip balm (yuck) and after DH told her "don't jump on the couch" she jumpped on the couch and whacked her face off the wall. Looked pretty bad last night but I guess the ice did the trick because she looks fine this morning, still keeping an eye on the tooth she bumped cause it does seem a bit wiggly.

Popping in really quick because my children and/or selling the house are keeping me crazy busy, but...!

Mary, have you looked into a chiropractor? I started going to one (who specialized in prenatal) at 37 weeks with Sam because a.) my pelvic pain was so bad, and b.) to make sure he was in the right position for labor since I was trying to VBAC. It helped tremendously! My pelvis was in such bad shape starting in the 3rd trimester, it hurt like you know what to get up, down, out of bed, etc. It would pop like mad when I first got up in the morning! And trying to get comfy for sleep? Psht. I found a pillow and the covers between my knees helped some.

Anyhow, I know you're at the end, but it might be worth it!! I went every other day at the end because she said at that point, it took less than 24 hours for my body to get completely out of whack. It helped lessen the pain a lot, for sure. I hope you can find some relief! And if not, at least he will be here soon!

I loved my massage during pregnancy, she would work everywhere that hurt, it was wonderful. I would love to get it even now but my stupid insurance decreased coverage to $500 a year, yeah like that will cover anything.
