Virginia - I hope you get more movement soon. It's still pretty early!

Katie - I LOL'ed at your spreadsheet comment, hahahah.

Amanda - I hope Natalie's tooth is okay. My kids are always hurting themselves, and I'm always afraid they'll lose a tooth.

AFM - I considered seeing a chiro the other night when the pain was so bad. Thankfully, it has eased up to a bearable level since then. I'm not sure why it was SO bad the other night.

I had my NST this morning and everything looked good. I had to do it in L&D triage today because the MFM department was closed for some reason. A lady came in in labor... I was jealous! Actually, they thought she was a repeat c-section, but I overheard them talking to her (through the curtains, lol) and she had apparently signed papers to attempt a vbac.

And finally, some WEIRD news.... We got a hand-written note in the mail today addressed from a couple with an address in our subdivision, claiming they want to buy our house. I assume they've got some sort of house flipping thing going on, which would be fine by me. I would imagine it looks and sounds too good to be true, so it probably is. But of course there's the part of us wondering if it's legitimate enough to look into. Hmmmm...

So glad you're still baking and he's doing well! I'm getting eager to hear your name I hope he decides the surprise you and arrive on his own, hope your pain is less too!

Ugh when I get stressed my neck and shoulders get tight and painful. At work I have been so busy and so tense that I'm a wreck. I'm icing my neck now it hurts so much....and I'm not even preg!

DH and I were very adult today and met with a financial planner. We have been meaning to forever. We worry about being able to retire and having something for each boy for college (I doubt we'll be able to pay for all of it but something to help would be nice). So we went through our 401k and we're going to roll 2 old 401ks DH has to an IRA and start a plan. Felt kind of good. Being able to retire someday is definitely a goal LOL

Katie - I'd love to find a good financial planner. I watch Suze Orman every week and it just seems like there are soooooooo many horrible ones out there (based on the phone calls she gets) that I'd just rather do it myself at this point, but eventually our IRA's and other accounts are going to get big enough that I'm going to want help. I guess the key will be to find someone that doesn't work on commision, since they're the ones that always seem to screw you because they're trying to line their pockets. Baaah. For now I just have a target retirement IRA at Vanguard, but I know those aren't the greatest to have once you get close to retirement, but for now it's fine. Once Benjamin is a little older and I have TIME again, I plan to research other options.

Mary - I can't believe how close you are to having a baby again! Sorry about all the discomfort, though.

Virginia - I hope you start feeling more movement soon.

Ash - too cute about Dane. I'd imagine 2nd (and later) kids will pick up on lots of stuff earlier because of exposure.

Jen - HI! I'm sure you're crazy busy right now!

Amanda - ugh Xander has hit his face on the wall when jumping on the couch before. Not fun.

AFM - ugh I just put Benjamin down for a nap 15 minutes ago and he's already talking. C'mon kid! Why are naps so dang hard with this kid! I just wanted a little bit of time to MYSELF since DH is here ot watch Xander. I never get any time alone. *sigh* Oh well. Guess I'd better go get him to sleep more.

I need a financial planner too... Just one of those things I've never gotten around to. Blah. I keep telling myself I'm going to start up those 529 plans for the kids for college and haven't done it yet. They're pretty sweet, though... The money comes out of your pay pre-tax, which is always good. And they make it pretty easy for other people (grandparents or whoever) to deposit gift money into it.

AFM - 38 Weeks today, and I'd say for the first time ever, I could be REALLY nesting. I worked like mad in the kitchen for quite a long time. Of course it's still a wreck. We have a lot of totes of stuff packed up just sitting in there until we get a storage unit to put them in. The kids are blocked out of the kitchen by gates, so that's the room where we put EVERYTHING we don't want the kids to get ahold of... So it's just filled with excess clutter. We have a whole cupboard in the kitchen devoted to medicines/thermometers/first aid supplies/vitamins/etc. and I went through that and got rid of a ton of expired stuff. Did some laundry, although there wasn't much to do, thankfully. After I rest a bit (I've been climbing up and down from chairs to reach high stuff and my body hates me now), I need to go upstairs and organize and put away the boys' clothes that are either off-season or don't fit anymore. Uggghhh... So much to do, so little time.

busy busy but I had to check in on you, Mary!
If you're still wavering over induction/waiting, the story about your NST reminded me about something. When I checked in to the hospital to have Alex I was in labor and at 5cm. I was handling it so well that when i went to the desk and said I was checking in for maternity the guy said "you're here for a c-section?" and I said "No, I'm in labor." His best response was "really?" and I walked up to l&d triage and walked to my l&d room. whereas I was in unbearable pain at 3-4cm with the inductions.

Awesome that you were able to walk in in labor, haha. I'm still here! Thanks for checking in on me, haha. I've been thinking a lot more about my appointment on Wednesday. He'll want to schedule my induction, I assume for the following week. I'm feeling more and more prepared to tell him that I want to wait a while. Baby has been doing excellent on the NST's, so I'm happy. It doesn't hurt that I do NOT feel like things are ready enough here at home, haha. I nested all day and still feel like I could devote a few more entire days to it. Unfortunately, I rarely get a chance to devote an entire day to nesting. We've always got other stuff to do or people who want to visit or whatever. If I'm still pregnant on Thursday, I plan to spend that entire day nesting also. I rather enjoyed myself today, although it's getting a little taxing on the body at this point.

I'm still stressing about the possibility that I could go into labor or have water break at work, haha. It wasn't a big deal when my work was 10 minutes from the hospital. It's a little scarier now that I'm an hour away (and that's if I tried to drive myself, lol... closer to 2 hours if I have to wait for someone to come get me). Yikes!!

I walked in at 8+ cm Which was why when I told them I thought I was about 8 they kind of scoffed until they checked me then they freaked out and called the doctor. Apparently most people don't approach so calmly when she far along. But I would have taken the induction the next day by that point I wanted that kid OUT.

I had a recommendation for the financial planner - at this point we don't have a ton of money for him to manage since the bulk of our money is in our 401Ks so if in a year we're not impressed we can look for someone new. We figure at this point doing something is better than nothing especially with the money sitting stagnant in old 401ks. If it were a lot more money I might be inclined to interview a few people.

It is BEAUTIFUL here! Lots of outdoor time and playing for the boys. I had dinner with 3 of my 4 college roommates. 2 of them were randomly in town for work at the same time so it just worked out. I'm in Orlando all week for work this week so I'm just cleaning and relaxing today.

I'm jealous of your beautiful weather! Ours must have moved on to you. It was really nice yesterday, but today was rainy. Actually, the sun is just now coming out, but I'm done for the day, lol. I'm ready to soak in a warm bath (YES!) and lay around in my pajamas. Yes, it's 5:30. I'm so exciting in my old age, haha.

Today we met the IL's for lunch in the town where I work (actually, the restaurant we went to is right next to my pharmacy, haha). After that, we went to try to talk to some neighbors next to the property we're looking at. The first place we went to, no one lives in. So we went to the other one, higher up on the hill from where we'd be. I could see someone outside as we pulled up their driveway, so yay! He had a sheriff's car parked there, so we're assuming he's some sort of deputy or something... Yay, our neighbors COULD be law-abiding citizens! Hahaha. Or they could be corrupt, but at least they'd be farther away than our current neighbors, haha. Anyway... DH and FIL talked to him for several minutes while MIL, the kids, and I sat in our van.. And Sean peed in a cup, because he desperately had to pee even though we had just peed before leaving the restaurant. Never a dull moment.

The gist of what the guy said was that they dug 180 feet before they got to water, and they did get water, but not enough for his family of 6. So they do haul water. But then he said the guy who used to live in the empty house I mentioned (which is more beside where ours would be) had more water than he could use.. He had enough for his house and apparently he had cows too, and had enough for them. That house sits empty now due to the couple that lived there getting divorced and putting it up for auction. DH said the guy that lived there looked 40-ish and I could see a couple girls, maybe teenagers or maybe a little younger. Not sure about the rest of the family since he said there were 6 of them, haha. Would be nice if they had some younger kids too.

Anyway... Still pregnant. 13 days till EDD. The countdown is on.

Also, I wish I knew how to check my own cervix, hahaha. I'm just curious. But I know I don't know well enough what it should feel like, and I certainly wouldn't be able to narrow it down to a centimeter. I guess I'll have to wait until Wednesday.

Is it even possible to check your own cervix at that point? I don't think I could've reached at the end of pregnancy, though I've gotta say I was never tempted to try. lol

Mary - glad your potential neighbor seems to be a law-abiding citizen! Too funny that Sean had to pee into a cup! I don't think I could ever get Xander to do that... Or if I did, that's ALL he'd want to do! lol

Katie - I'm so jealous you get to go to Orlando!! Though I guess you'll be working, so maybe it won't be too much fun for you. heh.

AFM - Oh man, Xander has gotten SO whiny these last few weeks! I don't know what his deal is! I know it's partly the age, and partly from Benjamin (since I have to do so much with him during the day and all that - though I make time for just Xander too). Anyway, I figured since it's been nice out and we've been outside a lot that his mood would actually be improving, but instead he seems to just be whining more! AAAAHHHHH! His dental procedure is coming up soon and I'm starting to freak out about it a little. I still can't believe he has to be knocked out in a hospital for all this, it just makes me sick... I just want the next two weeks over an ddone with - we have a ton of different appts this week to prepare for it, plus my allergy appointment, and then the following week is when it all goes down. This suuucks! Why did my kid have to inherit my crappy genes when it comes to his teeth?
