I was over on the birth boards looking at 2009 (Natalie's year of birth) and a lot of them are closed, when opening the 2014 boards they closed February 2009 it's kinda sad. I do keep in touch with some of the ladies from the group over on Facebook though.

On a more happy note, I've known most of you ladies on here for 5 years can you believe it?

I did a big update over on October about my u/s today

ETA: I'm also curious, since it seems like most of us are on our last or about to TTC our last baby (DH and I are pretty sure this will be the last one) what are your BC plans after you're "done"? I'm still feeling very uncomfortable with the idea of anything permanent, and wary of something like an IUD.

DH got the snip so we are done. My advice don't do anything permanent if either of you are unsure. I had to deal with a lot of negative emotions after DH got the big V. I know that we did the right thing but it was still very difficult.

Congrats on a good scan and another possible boy.

    Hi ladies

Do you mind if I rain on your parade? lol.

    I feel like chatting

Soo, I have been on preg org since September 2007 (when I found out I was preg with DD) and even though I only have her and she's almost 5, I still post here a lot. My BB was June 08 and it actually is busier than a lot of the more recent ones - I love that - although we do keep in touch and facebook.

I am totally ready for number 2.

I have had a few times where I have thought I would be pregnant and to my disappointment haven't been.

We go on vacation in 6 weeks and we have finally decided that is when we will start trying officially

I am sooooooooooooooooo excited about and DD of course is so ready to be a big sister. I won't feel complete until I have at least one more

    xx

Welcome Kristi! How exciting that you're about to TTC soon, yay! We always love to see new BFP's in here (more pregos to stalk, haha). Your DD is almost exactly a year older than my DS1. He was born June 30, 2009. Don't they grow too fast?!

Virginia - Soooooo relieved that your u/s went well! I'm so excited for you that the SCH's disappeared. That has to be a huge relief. WOW for likely another boy! What is it with us and our amazing boy-making powers? Hahaha. As for the post-baby BC, I'm in the EXACT same boat as you. I'm 100% against anything permanent at this point... Just not ready to make the commitment. I like the IDEA of an IUD, but in practice, I am wary. In fact, there's a girl on my Feb 2011 board who is newly pregnant and she had the Mirena in. They did an u/s, baby is growing just as it should, but they have no clue where the IUD is. It has either managed to fall out, or the doc told her it's a possibility that it punctured through the wall of her uterus and is floating around in her abdomen somewhere. They would have to x-ray it to find it, but for obvious reasons, they're going to put that off until either the baby is born or if she were to start having a complication. CRAZY. So anyway, I'll probably just stick with the progestin-only pill for a while. It's the only pill I've taken that doesn't give me massive side-effects. Only downfall is you've gotta be religious about taking it at exactly the same time each day or it's more prone to failure.

Amanda - I was thinking about that recently! I can't believe I've posted here most days for over 5 years now. WOW. Addicted much? Hahaha.

AFM - Had my OB appointment today, 35.5 weeks. Did my GBS swab (fun, fun) and my first official cervix check. Cervix is closed, but "soft" he said. I've never been told my cervix was "soft" before, haha. I'll assume it's at least minor progress in the right direction. My belly is measuring small and baby has been measuring about 30th percentile in my other u/s's, so he scheduled another u/s for me on Monday just to make sure baby is maintaining his growth curve and not falling off the charts. I don't think that's the case.. I've been so sick over the past week that I haven't been able to eat or hold much in, so I assume that's the reason for the smallish belly. I'm feeling a bit better today, feeling like I want to eat again, but a little gun shy. I had a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast and it seems to be staying put. I'll see the doc again Wednesday.

The kids were sick with it yesterday. It started in the middle of the night, just as it did with me, and they were both puking all night. Sean seemed to get it worse than Calvin. I carried a bit of a low-grade fever with mine, and Sean was also. He was hot yesterday before I left for work, and DH said he was hot in the middle of the night also. He feels nice and cool today, though... He keeps touching me with his ice cold hands. They're both acting a lot better today, so I hope it is over with faster for them than it was for me.

I thought this was kinda neat.. A girl from my Feb 11 board went in yesterday around 6:30pm for an NST, and ended up going into labor DURING the NST. How crazy is that? Haha. She ended up having her baby about 3 hours later via c/s (not sure why, if she was just a repeat c/s or if it was something else). I thought that was an interesting way to go, though. That board has had 2 babies in the past two weeks, AND one of my college friends just had a baby yesterday.

Welcome, Kristi! Yay for TTC soon.

Mary - oh yeah, I can't do hormonal BC (it gives me m/s), so that's out, too. We'll probably end up using FAM/spermicide again. Which is what leads me to believe we'll end up with a 5th someday.

We told the boys. They are super excited. Raymond is really hoping it's a girl (I told him is probably a boy) and says he wants to name her Sarah. Too cute. And I'm feeling huge for 12 weeks. I guess it's probably because it's #4. I've never showed at all this early.

Yay! Glad the boys are excited! How did Alex react? Just curious since he's the closest in age to Sean. Sean is excited, but I think the concept is still a bit abstract to him. He gets that there's a baby in there and asks when it's going to come out ALL the time, but I'm sure he has no clue what to expect. I'm sure he doesn't remember when Calvin was born. I'm anxious to see how he acts once the baby is here. I hope he doesn't experience a lot of jealousy or any sort of resentment towards the baby. Same with Calvin... He's used to being the baby. He's my little cuddle bug. He has recently started climbing onto my lap and wants to be held like a baby laying in my arms. I hope he's not sad to lose his "baby" status. But at the same time, he LOVES babies, so I think he'll mostly be amused with the LO. I suppose we shall see.

Alex is excited. He's still a snuggler and loves Mommy time, and he doesn't remember Oliver as a baby. But I made a photobook for each of them about pregnancy/birth.coming home and so he's familiar with the concept from those. I'm not sure he understands like Raymond does, and he's not as overjoyed, but I expect Raymond's enthusiasm to fade a tiny bit when we verify that it's a boy. Oliver has no clue and tends to be a jealous one, so it might be challenging. But, he'll be 2 1/2 when baby comes, so hopefully he'll be fine.
The older boys have been asking when they will be able to feel kicks. And Alex asked how the baby would get dinner... and where it came from. That question hasn't occurred to Raymond yet.

Awww reading you guys talk about babies makes me want one even more so!

So you both have boys only? Amanda (I hope I got the right person?), you might get that little girl this time around!

Isn't it sucky we even have to think of BC..... if only the MEN could take the pill to stop producing sperm then we'd be sorted haha.
