Virginia - I have lots of boys names , though two of my top ones are common. Liam, Christopher and Julian.

Ashley - Yay for getting away to warm weather, I totally understand though wanting to be home.

Mary - My Pregnancy with Nat gave me wicked gas (felt like I was in labour), since I deliver really quick we were in the hospital for observation every time. I'm hoping for you it's a sign that you'll be in labour soon. 4 more days until you are full term. o.O

Katie - Glad you enjoyed the Disney thing. Was this a production done by Disney? (like Disney on Ice). We took the girls to that a year and a half ago and they loved it, even Dana who is older.

    *AFM*

I preformed a miracle Friday got done what I thought would take a few days in little time. YAY!

    No progress with my dad.

Since hockey is over we had a pretty quiet weekend, which was nice.

    sorry, got interrupted mid-post.

Amanda - I really hope your dad starts to improve soon.

AFM: I started making some newborn size pocket diapers. They're pretty easy and so adorable. I used up my scraps and have to find a chance to go out and get more material. I also found a great deal on the only type of diapers which both fit Oliver and consistently stay on him (some cloth since he takes off all the disposables unless I put a cloth diaper cover over, which is a pain). Hopefully those will tide us over until he PTs. He still won't pee in the potty or toilet, only on the floor.

DH is in Boston today (for work, not the marathon.) thankfully I just heard from him, finally (after 90 minutes). Whew. Scary afternoon. No idea when he'll get out of there, but at least he's okay.

ETA: 7pm and he's still stuck. He seems content and is getting work done, but I'm going nuts. I just want him home!

Virginia - Hope your DH gets home soon. Glad he's okay. How nerve-wrecking.

Ashley - That sounds like a sucky flight, haha. At least it's over.

Amanda - Sorry no progress with your dad. I hope things change soon.

Katie - Glad the Disney thing was enjoyable. I need to find more fun stuff like that for the boys. They have stuff in the theaters and venues downtown all the time and I never hear about them until they're done and I'm seeing people's pics of them on facebook, haha. I need to be better about seeking them out.

AFM - Lots to share today. First, we went and visited the preschool we'll likely send Sean to in the fall. It seemed really nice. It's really one big room, but they have it partitioned off into classrooms where they learn math, science, art, etc. It was really cute. Sean got a bit stressed/shy in there and wanted me to hold him and wanted to hide his face. I think he'll come around once he has a few real days there to get settled in and get familiar with the other kids. I think he was a bit overwhelmed.

The trip there was stressful... Sean started sorta whining like something was wrong when we were driving down the highway. He held out his hand and I could see that something was wrong, but his seat is in the very back of the van now, so I couldn't tell for sure. It looked all scraped up or like it had a big rash on it. I was asking him what happened to his hand when his nose started POURING blood. WTF?!? Scared the CRAP out of me. I was trying to get DH just to pull over, but he wouldn't, so I was panicking. So he hit the next exit and we got the nose situation under control, but omg, I was stressed out after that.

After that, we drove around to a few more properties that are for sale to find a place to build. We still like one we found on Saturday, so we went back to it today. It's 5 acres in quite a rural area. It is reasonably flat and clear, and looks good for building. It does have a nice border of trees around it for privacy. I'm enthusiastic about it, but at the same time I'm nervous because we were excited about this house and it has been a hell hole. We're mostly worried about having to dig a well and not being able to hit water (my uncle, for example, dug 200-ft only to hit SALT water... wow). Anyway, the price is very good (almost enough to make us question if something is wrong with it, ya know?). We're talking to a realtor about it. I want my contractor (my uncle, haha) to look at it and see what he thinks. Hopefully we can do that next week.

And in baby news... WOW. Well, NST went great today. The nurse commented that I must have a well-functioning placenta because he's always very active. Now to the crappy news......... My ultrasound. My fluid was on the low end of normal. She said my AFI was 9. The bottom end of normal is 8. I wasn't too concerned about it because I was at a 3 when I was induced with Calvin, but it had dropped from a 12 just two to three weeks ago. I thought that was the worst of my concerns and I thought that wasn't too bad. But then.... I started checking the baby's weight percentile on fetal growth charts. The whole reason we're doing all these u/s's is to check for intrauterine growth restriction due to the BP. I found the definition of IUGR as fetal weight estimated at less than 10th percentile. Baby has been running about 30th percentile, so smallish but not bad at all. His weight today was estimated at 5 lbs even. On two different charts, that equates to 8th percentile. 8th!! I know my doc quite well after 3 pregnancies, and I'll bet money that he'll want to be delivering the baby next week. Guaranteed. I'm going to try to hold him off until the following week (afterall, my NST's are going great). But then again, with the way my body has been gearing up lately, it might be a moot point. Little man might decide to come on his own. Who knows...

Mary - GL with everything. I hope Sean likes the preschool. Alex has been going since Sept and loves it. The property sounds awesome. I want 5 acres in a rural place. With trees! We have no trees at all right now. As for baby stuff. Wow. Honestly, with the pain you described I bet you were dilating some. I hope if baby needs to come out he does it on his own. Did you ask the doc about the weight or the fluid? When is your appointment? I think 5lbs sounds find for 36 weeks. Is that seriously the 8th percentile? I just looked at a couple and they had 4.5lbs as the 10th percentile. good luck.

AFM: hopefully DH will be home within the hour.

Hopefully the charts I was looking at were skewed a bit. I didn't think 5lb sounded bad either until I went looking at those charts. 4.5 lbs sounds much worse. My appointment is Wednesday, so we'll see what he has to say about it then. It's at 4pm that day. I guess he'll be able to tell me if I made any progress in the cervix department too. I hope so. Last week, he said it was still closed, but was soft.

Hey all! Marking my spot! I keep falling behind and it is SO hard to keep up with you guys sometimes!! Life got kind of crazy for a few weeks when we put our house on the market, but showings have slowed down, thankfully. I mean, I really want to sell this house, but I REALLY needed a break from the showings! It was a constant cycle of making sure the house was in sparkling, perfect condition (impossible with two children), and then shuffling me and the kids around to get out of the house for the allotted time. We've had some really rude people show up early/stay late (affecting nap and mealtimes), so I've started putting my foot down and making sure the appointment times suit OUR needs. Screw 'em.

Anyone know anyone running in the Marathon? My coworker ran it! Fortunately, I heard from someone else that he was actually done and on his way out of the city when it happened. So that is good! So freaking scary.

In other news, my 9.5 month old is walking!!!

Okay, I will be back for personals!! Just wanted to let y'all know I was still alive. Well, I'm sure you knew, since I'm friends with you guys on FB.

Jen - thankfully I didn't know anyone running. My sister had some friends running, but they're fine and thankfully she didn't go to cheer them on. DH was in the city for work and was a couple of blocks away. He's fine.

My sister's fiance works for New Balance and was there about 100 m from the explosions. He is fine but said it was very scary. I think the kind of scary that just shakes you ya know? Lovely day great race then chaos But he is safe and we're all very thankful. I'm also thankful my sister couldn't get off to go with him. She typical does for big events b/c he gets a great spot up close (hence right near the explosions) but they just got back from a week in Napa and she couldn't leave her firm (she's an attorney). I'm glad she was in NYC.

Mary - I hope you can bake the little guy longer 5lb is like 1/2 a baby in my world Aww Sean in school so crazy!

Virginia - glad your dh is safe!

Amanda - it was by Disney, I think maybe more geared to little kids than an on Ice thing but perfect for my boys. Still thinking of your dad

    Hi Jen!

Work is busy and I've been running like mad!

Glad to hear all of you who were near the Boston area (or know someone who was) are safe!!

Jen: GL with your early walker! Dane was 10 months and they are crazy. I much preferred later walking As for showing your house, after a few times getting interrupted with the kids, I'd put my foot down too. People need to consider the fact that SOMEONE does live there still!

Mary: yikes, I hope you can hold the doc off another week just to see if things progress on their own assuming the fluid remains where it is. Stressful Hope Sean enjoys preschool and ick to the random bloody nose in the car!

Virginia: GL with the diapers. Glad to hear your DH is okay!

Amanda: hope you enjoyed your quiet weekend

33 week doc appointment today. This is suddenly getting very real Crazy, crazy.
