Nothing new here, just making the new thread!
Happy August! I'm giddy at the moment because I just got home from work and almost immediately, Sean went into the bathroom and pooped in the potty for the very first time! YAAAAAYYYYY!!!
ETA: The "dried up" milk must have been a temporary fluke. It's back today. Strange, nonetheless.
Mary - YAY for poop in the potty!!! Evan is wearing Mickey undies this morning and I keep reminding him not to pee on Mickey....he will I'm sure LOL
Lauren - I can't believe you're 18 w already, crazy!
FINALLY at 8 months old Rory's first bottom tooth broke through! He has been a BEAR the last 2 nights so I had a feeling it was coming. I'll miss his gummy baby grin!
Katie - Hopefully he'll be more pleasant now that the tooth broke through! Sean didn't get his first teeth until 8 mos, and Calvin didn't get his till 9 mos. Sean pretty much had a mouthful by 12-13 months, but Calvin is being SOOOO slow about it. He still only has 10 teeth. He has his bottom molars really close to breaking through, then he'll still need to get all 4 of his canines. Then the lovely 2yr molars. Fun times. I HATE teething.
AFM - We're still putting a diaper on Sean at bedtime until he has a firm grasp on daytime training. Anyway, he woke up dry this morning and immediately asked to go pee. Yaaaayyyyy! I'm trying to let Calvin watch him as much as possible, just so he'll understand what's going on and hopefully be ready a little sooner than Sean was.
Brekke has been day trained for months now, but still struggles at night so we do pull-ups for the most part at night. I've tried getting her up before I go to bed to go potty, but she still seems to have issues sometimes. DH was a bed-wetter as a child so we might be in for it with her  And I've totally done the "Don't pee on [insert character here]" and it didn't deter her much in the beginning.
Mary: :goodluck: I'll be stalking you!
Katie: glad his teeth finally came through! Dane seems to be working on some molars. My kids teeth come in sooooo slow (or it seems that way).
We had the kids pictures done yesterday. They were both strangely cooperative and smiley so I can't wait to see the results (although it'll probably be a few weeks or so). Dane has discovered how fun it is to throw things in the toilet and the garbage. Lots of fun...
Ash - oooooh the trash can phase!! We lost so much stuff to the trash can!! I hope all the pictures turned out great!
Mary - woo hoo for Sean going poop on the potty!! I think after we really started potty training that we waited a good month before we started putting Xander to bed in underwear. Maybe even longer... I waited til he'd woken up dry for over a week straight before taking the plunge!
Katie - I hope Rory is acting a little better today now that his tooth is through.
Nothing really going on here..................
Ashley - Can't wait to see the pics!! Your kiddos are adorable!
AFM - Gah, I got my cheapo HPT's in the mail today. I wish I hadn't bought them. The shear thought of being pregnant again after my last two pregnancies is actually really stressing me out. I thought I'd be okay with this one since everything turned out okay in the end with Calvin, but I guess a large part of me is still traumatized. *Sigh* Maybe if I'm not pregnant, I'll just adopt or something. It's probably good that we're stopping at three... I don't think I can handle anymore pregnancies emotionally.
ETA: Hi Lauren! We posted at almost the same time, haha.
Mary - I totally hear you on that! I don't want to be pregnant right now (nor do I really think I am) and today I've had some light spotting -- now assuming it quickly turns to full AF I'm very content a baby in April is not my best plan. BUT b/c I've had 2 m/cs and I'm a total basket case I start to worry what if the spotting dragggs on what if I'm preg b/c if I AM preg of course I don't want a m/c no matter how poorly timed! Sigh I'm 99.999% sure it's just AF starting, which is GOOD. But having had 2 m/cs I'm a total freak now and it sucks every ounce of fun out of the very idea of getting pregnant. Instead of being exciting the idea of it all gives me anxiety.
Ashley - yay for pics! I've been debating getting some fall ones done. I'm torn. I'd like outdoor pics but it makes more sense to do 1 yr and 3 yr pics but Dec can be totally freezing really limiting outdoor possibilities...
Lauren (and Ashley and MAry) - totally jealous of your PT kids! Evan has no interest, sigh.
Mary - Yay for Sean pooping on the potty. I'd personally try traning both boys at once, I love babies but HATE dealing with diapers. Natalie did pull-ups at night until about two and a half.
Katie - Yay for teeth, hope Rory is a little less crabby now.
Ashley - Glad the photos went well.
*AFM*
If you read my dog post you would know that the shelter agreed to let us foster the dog for two weeks, he came home yesterday. There was a breif encounter with the cats, them in the kitchen with a baby gate up, him in the living/dining room area on a leash with DH. Prince (the new dog) approached the gate where Silver (girl kitty) was standing, he gave her a sniff, but within a few seconds Mal (boy kitty) was at the gate puffed up and growling, Prince started barking and jumping. DH said the Prince wasn't being aggressive by what he could tell, more just that he got excited and didn't know how to respond properly. After that encounter we gave the cats free roam of the basement and allowed Prince some supervised time upstairs. Sadie just keeps away, Prince has no doggie manners so it makes her a bit nervous. At bed time we put Prince in the basement bathroom (haven't picked up a crate yet) and let the rest of the animals have free roam of the house at night.
Natalie is doing a soccer skills thing through the city, it is for ages 3-5, she isn't the best at it but she follows direction quite well and is really enjoying it.
Dana is registered in a Jr Leader camp this week, they teach the kids skills to be a camp leader, my mom plans to enroll Dana in St. Johns babysitting course in a couple of weeks, really can't believe how much she's grown up, she really is becoming a young woman.
Katie - Thanks for making me feel normal. I guess m/c's can turn you into a big freak, haha.
Amanda - I hope the new dog is fitting in okay! I figure after a little adjustment period, it'll be okay. :)
AFM - I posted a testing thread to stalk me. :)
