I'm doing fine. I updated the other thread.
Mary - good luck! I hope things work out and the boss isn't as bad as she says
ETA: since you're going for #3, may I make a baby gear recommendation? Check this bag out. I got one on a whim when it was on baby half off (or one of those sites) and I love it. It's my diaper bag and when I'm out with the kids i throw my keys and wallet and phone into one of the numerous pockets. And I use the carrier feature a lot. It's so nice to have it on hand if, for instance, Oliver throws a fit in the shopping cart seat or I find myself at a store without carts. Or if I just don't feel like bring a stroller (now that he can walk).
Amanda - yikes. Natalie is Oliver's size! I was like that, too. Even to me he looks a lot older than 15 months. Good luck with the puppy.
katie - I say give Rory whatever he needs to sleep. Do you think it was that he had a pillow or that he had your pillow? Maybe you could try substituting a worn t-shirt or something and see if that works?
Mary - good luck!!! I hope the higher ups go for it. I mean it's just MEAN if they don't!
Virginia - glad the boys are healthy and growing.
Erica - have fun with your fam for a few days!
Katie - horray for sleep! Like Virginia said, I wonder if one of your shirts or something would help...
AFM - gee I haven't posted for awhile. Jer's out of town a few days for work. He'll be back super late tonight after I'm already in bed. It'll be nice to have him back. Xander keeps asking for him, which is pretty cute. Though it also makes me realize how much slower I am these days because the only times he asks for him is when he's clearly bored with me. lol. He loves to roughhouse a little every day, and obviously I'm not big into that at the moment. I do what I can, though. My belly definitely exploded this week and I gained a few lbs all at once, so I guess baby had/is having a growth spurt! I've had a lot of round ligament pain to go with it. I posted recent belly pics, so you'll see! heh.
Virginia - That bag/carrier looks neat! It definitely helps to be as "hands-free" as possible, especially with more than one LO.
Lauren - LOL at Xander being "bored" with your slow, prego self, hahaha. ;) Too funny.
AFM - So I talked to my boss today, and he actually seemed pretty receptive to it. He said if it was just him making the decision and a trade like that would help two people have stores closer to their homes, that it would be a no-brainer. He said it's more complicated trading between two districts (which sucks because the store in question actually used to BE in our district, but it got moved to a different one, grr). So anyway, he mentioned that it would be a problem if (a) the other manager won't go for it, for whatever reason, or (b) if he had already promised that store to someone else in the event of an opening... So he said he would contact him for us and see what we can do. I really, really, really hope this works... GAAAHHH!!!
I hope he can talk the other boss into it, Mary! If you switched stores would you have to wait for maternity leave or would your time with the company still count?
I'm supposed to get me cheapie HPTs today. I'm looking forward to testing the HCG out of my system.
Nope, there would be no worries if I just changed stores... I'd keep all my maternity benefits, vacation time, etc. I'm really hoping it works out, because right now, it's my only hope! And it's what I really want at this moment, as I don't want to have to learn a whole new job on top of moving and everything.
However........ This is the big stress on me right now. We want to TTC!!! There's no reason why I can't... I have FMLA, they can't terminate me, but they could take that store away from me and make me drive to stores clear up in Cleveland. Soooo... I'm considering holding off, but I dunno. I think I'll let DH decide.
Good luck with the hcg... I hope it drops quickly.
Well... I guess we're JLIH this month. I'm trying not to think about it, hahha... Trying not to think about my apparent hormonal imbalance (still lactating for reasons unknown, short LP's), trying not to think about how this may affect my job if I get transferred, etc. I did start taking vitamin B6 in addition to my PNV.. I was aware that it can help lengthen LP, but also found that it may decrease prolactin also, so I figured it couldn't hurt to try it out. I'm not sure if it is related, but I did start to experience fertile signs a bit earlier this cycle, so maybe it's helping (it's supposed to shorten the estrogen-dominant phase, the WTO, and lengthen LP, so it should make sense for me to maybe O a bit sooner).
Mary - you have a lot on your plate between work and TTC :) GL with it all! It's hard to JLIH when you know your body!
Virginia - ((hugs)) you sound like you're doing well but it's all a lot to go through. GL with TTC and the HGC leaving etc
AFM we had a big family party at DH's parent's yesterday. It was a bit of a potty training challenge. Pee was really fine but Evan doesn't like to poop when he's not home in general (even in his diaper -- he NEVER poops at daycare) and by 8 he had to poop. He had a couple mistakes in his undies with it b/c he'd hold it until he couldn't handle it then come to us crying then we'd clean him up and sit on the potty and he'd stress all out. We got through it though and really except for 1 pee accident really late in the night before we were heading home (when he was dead dog tired and distracted) he did GREAT with pee. The poop we just need more practice with I think. All in all it was a bit of a hassle to have to bring him to the potty 100 times during the day but it went well. I was determined not to put him in a diaper and go backwards so we got through it. And today I need to CLEAN. UGH. My house is a pit. SOmeday when my dogs all head off to the dog park in the sky and I'm working full time I'm getting a maid. It's my dream, I can't wait LOL
Mary - Good luck! Can't wait to see what this cycle brings for you.
Katie - sorry he's having trouble with poops. It can be a long road with those. With Raymond we struggled for maybe 4 months and with Alex it was close to a year (but he PTed early). He will get it eventually.
AFM: The last few days haven't gone quite as smoothly as I hoped they would, but I do seem to be healing. I have an appointment Thursday to check on how things are going.
I did a really nerdy experiment this morning, but I'll post it in its own thread to avoid cluttering this one.
Mary - I hope the job works out!!! I agree, it's best not to worry about all the what-ifs... If we all waited to TTC til the absolute perfect time then none of us would ever get pregnant! haha
Katie - horray for making it all day without a diaper out of the house! Sounds like he did great! Xander was the same way with poops, I think every kid is... Then one day you'll be in the middle of Target and he'll declare "need to go poopy!" and he'll just go.
Virginia - hope the appt goes well.
AFM - gained yet another 2 lbs! WTF?! My stomach has been off, so I do think there's something going on there. I highly doubt I gained 4 lbs in just over a week, especially since my eating didn't change and I was still working out. Hopefully my body sorts it all out, because I am not cool with that big of a gain all at once!!! I'm hoping at least 2 lbs of it is bloat and will just go away in a day or so...
Sorry just coming on here to b***h about my mom, I got a cute Pixie cut, have had several compliments on it then my mom sees me and tells me "you look like a boy" I felt like telling her to F-off instead I was polite and told her I actually have gotten several compliments. My thought she needs to grow up, females can have short hair too.
