Amanda - I want to see a pic of your hair! I recently went pretty short with mine and I've had mixed reviews... The women like it, the men say it's too short, haha. My husband liked it though, so that's a plus.

AFM - Apparently, the situation with work transferring me is all resting on ONE man... And he's the one that the lady I'm trying to switch with has described as "an ***, even on his best day." Grrrrreat. However, my store manager is TOTALLY trying to help me. He said, "I WILL get it done." And he sent my bigger boss another text message about it as I stood there, and he told me, "I'll annoy the hell out of them until they get it taken care of. I can be very annoying." LOL, I love him. He's awesome. They're not happy to see me go, but they know I've been wanting this for a while and will go eventually anyway, and they know the other lady who wants to switch me, and she's great... So they're very supportive of it all, which is a big help. I can't wait to get the green light, hopefully soon!!

Mary - hope your boss gets through to them soon. How's JLIH going? do you think you've Oed?

Lauren - hope you feel better.

    Amanda - cute pics!

    AFM: TMI, gross

I thought I was going to get away with just light bleeding, but last night I suddenly had a ton of clots and nasty cramping. The cramping kept up for an hour and a half like reverse labor. I swear they were contractions, but they got less frequent instead of more frequent. The doctor did tell me I might have a "gush" 3-4 days out, but I totally didn't realize it would be so bad! It seems to have slowed a lot, but I might give my MW a call anyway. it was pretty scary. And then I had nightmares the rest of the night. ugh.

Mary - So glad you are looking at switching stores, hope there are less crazies where you are moving.

Virginia - Sorry to hear about the heavy bleeding, hope it passes quickly.

    *AFM*

The kids are sleeping in but I've been up for a while because the puppy was restless this morning. It's just like having a little one in some ways. He has been doing really well, he knows sit and is working on stay and house training.

Glad the puppy is doing well!

I really need to stop lurking on birth boards. I'm really leaning towards TTC as soon as my levels drop and the darn bleeding stops. Or at least JLIH, which is basically the same thing, right?

ETA: oh, lovely. Alex is technically "obese". His helth form states that his BMI is in the 99th percentile. Well, yeah. But I think it matters just a little that almost all that weight was put on in the first 6 months while he was exclusively breastfed, don't you? He's only gained 16lbs in the past 2 1/2 years! Thankfully, the doctor didn't make a big deal about it, but it's still annoying.

Virginia - I didn't realize they even classified children this young as overweight or obese! Some kids are just a little chunkier when they're young and then they grow out of it. That's probably why your doctor didn't say anything.

Also, sorry about the gush. No fun...

Amanda - sorry the puppy is restless and you're tired. Puppies are just like having a toddler around!! A naughty toddler.

Mary - I really hope this guy comes through and you're able to transfer!

AFM - Uh... Nothing going on here, I guess. haha.

When is your big u/s? You get one this time, right? I can't wait to know what you're having!

    AFM more gross stuff

ugh, this cramping is getting annoying. I did talk to the MW and she said the clots and all sounded within the range of normal. I'm going to try to get my blood work done tomorrow so we'll have the results for my appointment. Then, based on the results and my symptoms I might have an u/s to see if there's anything left. Ick. I'm still having cramps and light/moderate bleeding, but with up to quarter-sized clots. Ewww. I really hope everything is out because we're supposed to go on vacation Saturday. I don't want a repeat d&c right before that, potentially delaying our departure. As it is, it's going to suck royally being on vacation at a lake and probably not being allowed to swim.

Virginia: (sorry catching up here) so sorry that you had to go through the D&C, but glad things went well. Yikes to the heavy bleeding, sounds pretty rough. AFA Alex being obese, LMAO! I understand why the start looking at BMI but seriously they need a different system for young children. Brekke is 5% for weight & height, but 30% for BMI...? And she's tiiiiiny. So I don't know what child could possibly be in the under 10% range...

Amanda: thanks for reminding me that I do NOT want to get another puppy But GL with yours! haha And enjoy the short hair, I'd love to do a pixie cut but my DH would fall over dead. Maybe someday...

Lauren: Sorry about the sudden weight gain. With my 2nd pregnancy, my weight stayed down until the 2nd trimester and then I exploded. My 3rd mellowed waaaaay out so don't worry...as long as your not doing anything crazy with your diet (did buying a Krispy Kreme donut almost every day count as crazy? Didn't think so...) I'm sure your body will even out in the long run.

Mary: crossing my fingers for you! Hope the B6 helps you...I had major LP problems when TTC #2 and it *seemed* to help me.

Katie: sorry Evan is having issues with pooping. We had the exact opposite problem! Hopefully he'll decide it's better to let it out when you're out than hold it in soon.

AFM: Brekke had her first day of preschool today! At her school, they help them out of your car and into their classrooms (sort of a bizarre system but they said it works much smoother) and I was shocked that she got out with zero crying or whining. And when I picked her up, she was super excited to tell me about her day. Pretty fun stuff! Dane & I didn't know what to do with ourselves all morning, but I will admit it was nice running errands with just one kid In other news, I'm somewhere in the 2ww (not tracking my cycles but can generally tell when I ovulate). Our timing was good so we'll see. Honestly, if AF doesn't show until after this weekend, I'll just be happy that I'm not having LP issues this time. If she shows before Sunday, I'll probably temp next cycle just to see what's going on.

Virginia - Your comments remind me a lot of what I went through with the natural m/c. I had DEFINITE contractions, just like labor. Not as intense as full-blown labor, but still pretty darn painful. I'd had vicodin leftover that they had given me after I gave birth to Sean, and I swear that I took more of it during the m/c than I took in the post-partum period with a ripped apart vag. It was painful, and the feeling of passing the clots was REALLY disturbing to me. That was the part of the whole thing that was the most emotionally traumatizing to me... I hated feeling it come out. Blech. Sorry to get all TMI, but your experience sounded so similar. I thought you got to skip past all that with a D&C, but apparently not. I hope it stops for you sooner rather than later. For me, the passing of clots went on for 3 days before it was just bleeding like a heavy period.

Ashley - Good luck with the 2ww!! I'm not sure where I am right now. I think this is CD16, and I haven't had any EWCM, but today I had little pains that felt like my o-pains, so who knows. I'm glad the start of preschool went okay! I've been a little sad that I didn't send Sean, but we just have too much up in the air with possibly moving soon, so I didn't want to start the year if I couldn't finish it.

AFM - So this is interesting and I don't know WHAT to do. I'm totally at a loss for what to do. I still don't know for sure if work is going to transfer me. Basically, it boils down to one guy dragging his feet. So while I'm waiting on them to figure this out, I get an email from CVS saying they have a possible opening REALLY close to where we want to live. It's super complicated because I used to work for them as an intern, then right out of graduation, I moved and took my current job with the huge competitor, lol. Gah, so now I feel like I CAN'T switch back again, but at the same time... It's so close to where we want to live and maybe immediate, not waiting around for some dude to get his crap together. So I've determined that as far as TTC goes, we're going to prevent for the rest of this cycle, but we didn't prevent on CD 12 or 14, lol, soooo... I just want to keep my options open if I do need to get a new job, ya know...? I don't want to be in a position where I'm pregnant and have no FMLA, maternity benefits are uncertain, etc... We'll see what happens.

eta: forgot my other news (non-news news)... I had called my OB's office on Friday to talk about the 7+ months of leaking after stopping BFing, and they suggested I start with the LC. So I called her today and she called me back... She told me several weeks can be normal, but 7+ months is excessive and I should call back to the OB about getting my prolactin levels checked and it sounds like I could be having a hyperactive pituitary (I've read this is commonly due to a benign tumor.. but still, eek!)... So I called back to the OB about it, but it was right before 4 when they closed, so the girl put in a message to the doc and they'll call me back once he decides what to do...

Ash - good luck in the 2WW!! I can see why getting the kiddos out of the car would make things go a lot smoother. Think of all the extra time it'd take for the parents to get out, then the kid may want a long drawn-out goodbye, etc. So I get it. But I think it might cause some kids to lose their sh!t. lol. Xander would NOT be cool with someone else taking him out of the car, at least not at first. Once he got to know them he wouldn't care, but those first weeks would be interesting. haha.

Mary - that is an interesting situation. How does the pay/benefits/etc. differ? I use CVS as my pharmacy and I really like them. Though I think I've been going there too many years because a lot of them know me and it kind of freaks me out. haha. Mainly because when I jog I go by the one pharmacists house and he's always outside, so he's always talking to me and then brings it up when I pick up my Rx and I'm like picking up something for an infection or something and it just really weirds me out. hahaha. But I do NOT want to deal with Walmart. Holy geez, have you seen the craziness of their lines? I don't care if I'd save a few bucks! AAAAHHH!!! Though I get next to no Rx's anymore now that I'm not on BCP, so I'm not in their regularly. If I were old and on 5748309327 Rx's I'd consider it just because of the $$$ savings. And our Walgreens is kind of... Crappy. I dunno, I've been in really nice ones - but ours is just kind of a dump. I hate going in there, so I pretty much avoid it unless everyplace else is out of something I need.

    Uh, that got long. Sorry.

Virginia - I hope all the clotting stops asap so you can enjoy your vacation! Why wouldn't you be able to go swimming? Or is that only if you have to have a repeat d&c?

AFM - I don't know when my big u/s is yet. I have my next checkup this Friday and that's when I'll set it up. They won't do my gender scan til 24-28 weeks, so I might have a few months yet! That makes me SO mad! It's just too late! I'm hoping they can get me in right at 24 weeks. I'm trying to plan a trip up north to stay with family for a week and I want to do some baby shopping while I'm up there, but I won't go til I know the gender.
