Mary - what a tough decision! I hope the guy gets his act together and you hear back soon. and GL with the prolactin test.

Lauren - I hope they can get you in soon. Why do they make you wait so long?

AFM: TMI, as usual no cramping or clots today! I just got my blood drawn, so in a few hours I should know how much my HCG has dropped. Mary, some women get away with only spotting after a d&c, but I haven't been lucky. Sometimes there can be some lining left which the body then sheds. Or, if the uterus doesn't shrink fast enough (I had two meds to help it) the blood can collect.
No swimming would be because of the risk of infection and I can't use tampons after a d&c (I think that goes for m/c too). But... I have a red bathing suit, so if I'm just spotting I'm going in. I mean, the water is super clean, so it wouldn't be worse than going in a bath.... probably better given how long it's been since I cleaned the bathroom.

ETA: just shy of 6 days out and HCG has dropped for 105,000 to 2,582! It still has a way to go, but I am so glad it's so low. And yeah, I've been off zofran for a couple days.

Virginia - Woohoo for good HCG droppage and no more clots! That has to be a bit of a relief.

AFM - The doc's office called back today and he ordered a prolactin blood test. The woman also mentioned an ultrasound of SOMETHING (lol, is it bad if I don't even know what body part? boob ultrasound? LOL... I barely have any boob left).... But that would be pending the blood test results anyway, so I guess I'll hopefully hear more on Friday.. She said they should get the results back that day.

ETA: I've determined I'm not going to O this cycle. I had watery CM at CD12 that never turned into anything, and no real signs of O since then. I'm okay with that... Too many other uncertainties in life right now to add a new pregnancy to the mix.

Mary - GL with job decisions. IMO you should do whatever is best for you. You're a good employee and you do a good job but in the end they wouldn't protect you if push came to shove so if leaving is best then do it!

Virginia - Glad the levels have come way down! I had to have meds after Rory b/c my uterus was so stretched out it wasn't going back on its own they created some CRAZY cramps.

Amanda - hope the pup is doing well!

Work continues to make me rather miserable. I was kind of hoping I'd hear from one of the jobs I sent my resume to. I just sent it Monday night so I mean there's time...but patience isn't my strength. There's a guy at work who is just absolutely impossible to deal with and having to work with him is making me feel like a crazy person. I'm just feeling spent from everything regarding work. Maybe I'll get a call tomorrow....a girl can dream!

Katie - You sound like me with your work situation, hahah. Mine is for a different reason, not a particular person driving me nuts... But I want to move and I want a solution NOW. Just this week, some crazy *** has been shooting people's cars with a freaking shotgun as they drive down my street! One was about a half mile away, the other was at this intersection RIGHT BY MY HOUSE. That, plus watching a severely intoxicated man be arrested right up against the outside of my fence this past weekend... I must get out of here. I don't want to raise my babies here with all this craziness. DH and I desperately miss the country, peace and quiet, etc. *Sigh*

AFM - Just got back from the lab. I got my blood draw for prolactin level, so I'm anxious to see how it comes back. I hope I get the result tomorrow. The nurse said they'd get it on Friday, but I'm not holding my breath.

We're back from our mini vacay - so glad to be home. Being with family is nice and everything, but it was time to come home.

Mary - hope that they are able to figure out what is going on with your leaky boobs. If it were me I would probably interview with CVS and if nothing else use that as leverage for the job switch. I hope that it all works out for you.

Katie - sorry about your job making you miserable - it's so hard to deal with a place that makes you miserable - it just effects everything. I hope you hear back from someone soon!

Virginia - I'm glad your levels dropped and the cramping/clotting has stopped! I think it's pretty ridiculous to call Alex obese - I'm sure he will grow a few inches and everything will balance out pretty quickly! At least your doctor isn't making a big deal.

Lauren - that US seems late. I'm excited to hear what you are having.

Ash - Glad Brekke did ok with school! It does sort of make sense to have them come get kids from the car. I wouldn't love it as a parent, but I'm sure it helps with the transitions a lot. Good luck in 2ww!

Amanda - I saw your hair on FB - it looks nice. Sorry your mom wasn't nice about it.

AFM - I finally bought a bunch of underwear for Lily while we were away (I might have gone overboard - I wound up with like 50 pairs... LOL) and we got one of those folding seats for her diaper bag. I am dragging my feet on it though - I keep worrying about ridiculous logistical things and put it off for another day. Blah. She is so inconsistent about things right now - some days she is dry all day and tells me she has to go, then other days she is just totally unaware (like today). Guess I'll have to just grit my teeth and try it.

In other news 5 more days until DH is home!

Yesterday was the first day he had no accidents at daycare! He's had 1 a day the other 5 days and then he came home and pooped with no drama Today we had a holistic vet apt with my dog and I put a pull up over his undies b/c I couldn't just pick up in the middle of joni's acupuncture (yes my dog get acu) to hit the potty with him and I was wearing Rory and juggling Joni etc. BUT he held it! 3 hours! On the ride home he told me he had to go and I told him to try and hold it until we got home and he did! SO proud I just ordered a folding seat too though - little late on that one. He still goes at night though, he has always been a heavy night pee'er so I think we have a while on that front, I can live with 1 diaper a day though!

I don't know, Erica.... 50 pairs might not be too bad. I've had Raymond and Alex in the same size and we're always running out. We probably have 40 pairs between them. I need to move Raymond up, though.

Katie - yay for no accidents! Raymond's still in one pull-up a day (at night) but he puts it on and takes it off himself, so I really don't mind.

AFM: appointment was short. No exam or anything since the bleeding has slowed. I have another blood draw in 2 weeks (yeah, it was a nice drop, but it's still pretty high). And she wanted to talk about next time. I've been nervous because having hyperemesis with a non-viable pregnancy really sucks. So, next time I'll get HCG levels done right away and she wants to do an u/s as soon as the levels hit 1500 or 2000. and maybe another a week or two after the first. Whew. It's making me more excited to TTC again.

Virginia - It's awesome that the doc is going to have more frequent early checks with you next time. You'll have the extra reassurance, plus no worries of being super-sick for a long time with a non-viable pregnancy.

Katie - Woohoo for potty success! Isn't it like the best feeling in the world?? Hahaha... love it.

Erica - Glad to hear your DH will be home soon.

AFM - I got my prolactin results today and woohoo, it came back normal! I'd rather have normal prolactin with inexplicably leaky boobs than high prolactin for reasons unknown, haha. My OB still wants to see me next week, so I have an appointment with him on Wednesday. I'm not really looking forward to it, as I'm pretty sure it'll just be a waste of time, but ohhh well...

ETA: I forgot to mention that I'm pretty sure I still haven't O'ed this cycle. Uggghh... I hate not knowing what's going on. I need to temp or OPK or something. But I haven't had any EWCM at all, which is really odd for me by this CD (19!)

Erica: best of luck with the potty training. I severely underbought panties when I started PTing not realizing I could go through 3-4 in a day initially. It took DD a long time to catch on to peeing in the potty when she felt like she needed to go and not waiting until she was going. It was a long few months and in hind sight, I think I pushed her a little before she was ready. But now she rarely has accidents so I can finally relax a bit when we go out. What portable potty did you get? We have one that I LOVE. Can't think of the name ATM.

Katie: Woohoo Evan! Once they figure out how to "hold it" life gets much easier! Brekke still pees at night too and I asked her pedi about it who said that like half of kids can't hold it all night until after age 4 so we'll discuss it next year if she still has the issue. She's a really heavy sleeper plus likely has a tiny bladder (thanks to her dad! lol), but I will say that in the last month or so has only gone a small amount rather than a ton.

Virginia: glad the bleeding has slowed down and things are looking up

Mary: yay for normal test results! Hopefully she can help your leaky boobs still though! How annoying. Sorry you're not Oing...that is frustrating. Maybe it's all connected somehow(?). And ITA with your wanting to move with all that has happened w/the bar behind you; totally not a comfortable place for kids.

Nadda much going on here. Started refinishing a bed that I re-inherited (long story). It's solid wood, but prefinished clear, then has been painted on top of that to look "white washed" which was awesome in the 90s but not so awesome in my very dark rustic home Anyway, it's going to take a couple weeks if I really push it because it's huge and I don't exactly have a ton of kid-free time to mess with it. Should be worth it though... hopefully!
