not bronx zoo - we will go there next week when DH takes some time off - we just went to the little one in our park - Lily likes to see the sea lions eat breakfast so we go a lot!
Lily does surprisingly well with sleep when we visit family - we still cosleep though, so that probably has a lot to do with it. I think we are probably going to start thinking about a bed for her.
Lauren - Oh I sooo miss baby kicks. Calvin didn't kick much (well, anterior placenta probably didn't help), so I really hope baby #3 ends up being a big kicker.
AFM - I broke down and peed on another stick tonight. Someone please lock up my pee sticks and my money cards so I can't buy anymore, LOL. It's still faint, BUT it did get darker from the one I posted a pic of. You don't really have to try too hard to see the line now (IRL, that is... I'm guessing it would still be faint in a picture).
Lauren - I ran on the treadmill today. I try to coordinate napping and get 30 mins/3miles in. It's hit or miss but I keep trying! I do sometimes take them out and run but I really don't like not having my arms. I'm a horrible runner, I look like I'm dying and it's worse if i'm pushing 50lbs of kid/stroller!
Erica - that sounds like fun! I wish we had something like that close! Rory cosleeps too but if he's out of sorts it's hard to get him to really relax even with us. So different than Evan who loves to sleep in his own space - he can't settle at ALL unless he's alone.
LOL... I'm a terrible runner too. Well, I was a terrible runner the last time I attempted it, which was probably about 6 years ago. I doubt I've gotten any better at it since then, hahahah.
Why do I seem to get logged out all the time??? I check the remember me box, but it still logs me out all the time - so annoying.
I can't run at all - bad knees and ankles.
JUst came to see if there was a pee stick with FMU posted yet. Did you POAS this am Mary?
I did POAS this morning:
I'm pretty well speechless, lots of thoughts and emotions on that... Haven't had time to process it yet, LOL.
Same here with the bad ankles and knees. Well, one bad ankle (stupid me, got drunk one night in college and decided to wear flip-flops out in the rain... fell and probably fractured it, but never saw a doctor, lol). My knees have been terrible about dislocating (my patella) over the past 10 years now, do I do MUCH better with low impact stuff... I love the elliptical machine.
Natalie is also terrified of the self flushing toilets, I now cover the sensor with toilet paper while she goes to avoid it happening. She has no issues with the ones with handles at this point since she can tell the difference.
She also hates the hand dryers, we just avoid those.
Erica - Yay for your DH being back, I am sure you will get into a routine soon enough.
I'd start with the PTing at home, worry about the public stuff once you get that down.
Mary - I most definately see a line.
Katie - I think it's great that you are working on running with two young kids. I really need to get back into it.
Most of the blood tests were routine stuff, there is also a hormone test because of my periods being all over the place for most of last year (27-35 day cycles).
The hearing test is for ringing in my ear, and I truely think I may have some issues, I often misunderstand things being said especially if they sound similar, hearing in noisy places is more difficult than it use to be too.
When I started running my knees and ankles acted up BAD after just 2 weeks they were doing way better, I've been out of it since june so I am not sure how things have deteroraited since stopping.
Amanda - Sean is the opposite... He LOVES the hand dryers, haha... I have to stop him or he'll run around activating all of them if we're in a bathroom with several of them.
I hope all is well with your hearing. That's kinda stressful.
AFM - I have officially packed my first tote of stuff in preparation for getting out of this house. I still don't even necessarily have a definitive plan to move, but mentally I'm outta here, haha. I packed a 25-gal tote of movies and DH's PS games, and we still have some more to be packed up, grrr... TOO many movies and most of them probably have only been watched once. Grrr. We rarely ever buy movies anymore, though... Only stuff I know we'll watch more than once, like Harry Potter series (love it!). Anyway, it's only one tote and we still have a TON of stuff to get out of this house, but it's symbolic and feels good to be started. And it took my mind off of this positive pee stick for a minute......
Mary - eek I see a line! WTG packing that first tote, I bet that felt great!
Amanda - hope all the tests go well!
Katie - I'm not a runner, either. I go for long walks outside and I'll occasionally jog, too, but no running. I'd rather use my elliptical. I also time my workouts with nap time, though I'm not sure how that's all going to work once the baby is here. At least I know I can always workout at night once DH gets home, though.
Erica - oh how cool that you have a little zoo by you! Xander LOVES the zoo, especially the smaller ones. The bigger ones always seem to overwhelm him and he's more into running around than looking at the animals.
AFM - SO tired today! I didn't sleep very well last night... I think I might skip my workout for a nap in its place. haha. Though then I'll probably sleep bad again tonight because I took a nap. Vicious cycle. haha.
I figured out how to get over baby fever, just get a puppy! Actually he's not to bad any more now that he sleeps through the night most of the time. But during the day I am still constantly bringing him out to go potty. It's been two and a half weeks and he's doubled in size, he's supposed to get to 35-40 lbs so still has a ways to go.
Made up a pregnancy ticker just by my guess of dates and it says, "3 weeks, 2 days" pregnant. Nothing like testing too early. :bonkself:
Just popping in to say congratulations, Mary!!! How exciting!! I hope you go 39w6d because that will be my birthday! Oh, and like I said before, I'll be curious to see how long you're pregnant for and how big baby is so that I know what my possible #3 will be like. Since our babies are the same weights and Sam and Sean were the exact same gestation. Haha. You're my preggo twin!
Hi y'all!!!! I'm here, just learning the ropes of two!
Thanks Jen!! Can't wait to see if we're prego twins again, hahaha.
AFM - Just want to post ONE more HPT. I was going to wait until tomorrow or the next day to use the digital because I only have one and I didn't want to waste it too early, but my curiosity got the better of me.
YAYYYY CONGRATS!!! No one can argue with a digi!
ok I'm going to admit to just a tiny itty bitty bit of baby fever. Your BFP, Lauren's adorable belly, Ashley TTC. I'm weak. And my boys have been SO fun and adorable lately. Rory still sleeps like crap on a cracker but he's SO much more fun now. The first 6 months...maybe even 7 months were so hard with him he was such an unhappy little baby. But now he's just this hysterical little mimic that chases Evan around, make us laugh constantly and is generally really happy (except when he's fighting sleep hah). So lately #3 has seemed like it might be in the cards - but still not until Oct 2013, I'm NOT going to be prego or nursing (at least not nursing much) for my sister's wedding next Sept!
Thanks. Of course a +HPT turns me into an immediate freak. I took a test at 6:30pm yesterday that is as dark or actually a bit darker than my FMU from today. I only have two HPT's left, then I refuse to buy more. They make me crazy. I kinda appreciate not knowing what DPO I am, because I know I'd be online trying to compare my pee sticks to others from the same DPO. I already have been trying to find similar ones.
Yayayayayayay!!! COngrats, Mary!!
Love the digi! I think I want to get pregnant again just to use one!
What's a fair amount of time between my next baby and my sister's? She's due in Feb and I don't want to steal her NB thunder, but I am getting OLD.... I think I will wait a little bit more and then see. We aren't really preventing but seeing as how it took drugs and an IUI last time... although, my body seems to be much different after pregnancy.
I personally think you'd be good to get pregnant any time. Even if you got pregnant next month, that would put like 4 months in between your babies. And considering that it took a bit of time and effort to conceive Lily, I could imagine she'd be understanding. Plus it would be fun to have cousins close in age. So IMO, go for it!! Hahaha.
I don't think there's a bad time myself but I'd be psyched if my sister had a baby when I did.
UGH Evan is fighting his nap like crazy and we're spending the rest of the day at my mom's with all my family and it would be nice if he took a nap and wasn't an over tired toddler BEAST. We'll see if we can get even a 1/2 hour out of him...
Mary - First off you are CRAZY (says the person with 2 kids, 2 cats and 2 dogs). Second congrats, sending you some pink vibes and wishing you a healthy 9 months.
Erica - I agree with everyone, I don't think you'll be stealing her thunder. If you are concerned and you think she can keep a secret you could always talk to her about it, get her opinion. Dana was born in March of 99, she has cousins born in late October and early November they didn't steal the thunder.
