Looks like a bunch of us kept posting in the November thread, maybe it's just that we all aren't ready for December, I know I am not it snuck up on me.

Katie - Good luck! I hope baby boy is well on his way now!! Smile

Oops... Happy December everyone, lol!

Virginia - I can't believe Raymond is almost 4!! WOW! Time flies... I still remember the little picture of him around his first Easter sitting in the flowers and he was all fat and cute... I always thought that was the cutest freakin baby picture, hahaha. Smile

AFM - Took the kids to sit on Santa's lap today. FAIL. LOL. Even Calvin who is ALWAYS in a good mood was not in a good mood. In his defense, the mall where we go has an entirely glass ceiling and it was REALLY sunny, and it was bright in his eyes, so he just kept wanting to shut his eyes. Sean was clinging to DH and would NOT let go, so we have no pictures of Sean alone with Santa. Our best pic was of the 4 of us together with Santa, lol, and DH has a goofy expression on his face.

After we got home, I was undressing Cal to put him back into comfy clothes (I had them in red/green plaid button-up shirts for the pics) and while I was doing that, Sean was climbing all over me as usual and went sliding across my knee and dislocated it. OMG, PAIN. I was SHRIEKING. I've had it happen before and it's always really scary and painful, but it always snaps right back into place on its own. This time, it was NOT going back into place. I spent a couple of the longest minutes of my life laying there SCREAMING while DH held my leg... I physically could not bend at the knee and the kids were still trying to climb on me. DH was all trying to get the dog in his cage and the kids in the car because we thought we were going to have to go to the hospital to get it back into place, but thank goodness, it finally went back in on its own. It still hurts and I'm scared to put any weight on it. DH is at the store buying me a brace for it now. The kids are napping, thank goodness.

I posted some Christmas pics that I took of the boys last night, but I realized it was a bit pic heavy. Pasting it over to a new thread...

Ugh... My knee is a wreck. I'm hoping it's just tender and will take time to heal, but I don't know. I took it out of the stabilizer for a bit earlier and it was NOT good. I only managed to have it out about 10 minutes and had to put it back in because it hurt. I'll get this stabbing pain sensation and it will feel like spasms or something. Not fun at all. I'll probably go to the urgent care tomorrow for x-rays or something, because I'm just nervous that it's not entirely back into place or that I've injured a ligament or something. I'm just not sure, but I need some sort of peace of mind before I have to go to work and stand on it all day Monday. Blah...

Mary - Sorry to hear about your leg.

Went Christmas shopping today, really didn't get too much bought since we don't have too much extra this week. Got some seasonal hand soap for Dana's bathroom, a top and sweater for Dana and some shirts for DH's nephews, have to go exchange one of the shirts cause though it says 7/8 on it, it is about the size of a 4, that won't work.

Well my knee is going to be okay, I think. I went to the urgent care and my xrays came back normal, thankfully. The doc said I should see an orthopedist since this is a recurring thing for me. Ugh... I know I should, but I really don't want to. It's not like it happens often, but it has happened several times. This time was by far the worst, though. And I hate even thinking of it happening again. I know there are orthoscopic surgeries they can do to treat the condition and help prevent recurrences of knee cap dislocation... But ugh! I don't want a surgery! They also recommend exercises to strengthen the quadriceps, like squats and stuff. Maybe I'll just see a doc and see what happens. I dunno. Anyway, the doc at the urgent care sent me home with a full immobilizer on my leg.. It goes from my thigh all the way down to my mid-calf and prevents me from bending my knee AT ALL, as well as a pair of crutches, some pain meds, an ace bandage (because the immobilizer wasn't enough?) and I have my original xray films, which is kinda neat. I am to take them to the orthopedic doc if I go. Blah...

Calvin took a step tonight without holding on to anything!! Yahoo At 9 months, he's got Sean beat by a month and a half for first steps. Crazy...

ETA: (copied from fb) - OMG, he KEEPS DOING IT now!!! This is nuts! He really can only go one step before falling down, but the fact that he keeps trying it is awesome. He stands flat-footed, gets his bearings and holds his hands out to steady himself, then takes a step... just one step. TOO CUTE!

Mary - I cannot believe that Cal is already walking! WTG little man! Smile

Katie - Congrats on Rory! He's so precious! I hope that BFing is going well and that you're home by now!

Virginia - Umm.. Raymond is gonna be 4?!? He still seems like a toddler! He's getting so big!

Amanda - Hooray for Christmas shopping! We've only bought my SIL's gift so far. We better get with it...

AFM - I had a u/s on Wednesday. I've been dealing with some pressure/pain in my girly parts. Everything is fine and healthy, it's just normal to be in pain with close pregnancies. Lovely huh? Anyway, our little one is 100% BOY and his name is Cooper so far. We've been trying it out to see how it feels. We like to call our babies by name to see if it's natural. So far, so good on Cooper. I think it'll stick because we bought Christmas stockings with all our initials on them.

We moved into our first house 2 weeks ago. We're still getting settled, but we LOVE all the space. Claire is army crawling and rolling (continuously) EVERYWHERE and into EVERYTHING! Who needs to crawl when rolling is easier? Lol Claire is amazed each time we walk by the Christmas tree. I love seeing the excitement on her face. Christmas is going to be so great this year!

Laura - I had a lot of pains the second time around that I didn't have the first time. It's crazy because you think, "I just went through this not long ago and didn't have this happen..." I'm glad everything looks good, and I love the name Cooper! With our last name ending in "er", I don't want to use first names that end in "er" because it sounds too repetitive together, but it stinks because there are soooo many names that I like that end in "er".

AFM - Still in pain from this stupid knee. I'm not sleeping well at night. I'm maxing myself out of ibuprofen. The doc yesterday gave me vicodin... The first dose seemed to help, but for the second dose, I took one that I'd had laying around ever since I gave birth to Sean, haha... I figured if I still had those pills, I should use them rather than the new ones. I'm pretty sure they're way expired now because it didn't seem to help as much. I took one before bed to help me sleep, then another in the middle of the night when I woke up in pain. Today is my first day going to work in this condition, so it should be fun. I can barely walk. Sad

Hey all! I'll try to get some personals in but I'm catching up Smile I've been reading on and off but time to type -free hands with out an infant or a toddler crawling in my lap is limited Smile

Virginia - Happy bday month to Raymond!

Mary - hope your knee is doing better! And I can't believe Cal is walking! It goes so fast!

Amanda - Yay for shopping....I have nothing done ugh! Dh and I have to go while he's on vaca

Laura - I can't believe you're 17 weeks already! And Claire sounds like such a wonderful baby! I'm so happy for you house babies life is good Smile

AFM - Life is good here too! Rory nurses like a champ, my milk is coming in today and I'm hoping my body is perhaps a little more controlled than with Evan. This will sound bizarre b/c Rory was soooo big but I think my recovery is easier this time. With Evan I had 2 tears this time just one and I pushed so much longer with Evan my bottom in general was much more uncomfortable. Phew we were up every 60-90 minutes last night. Rory sleeps well on his own but only for an hour or so at a time. Coffee is my friend! I have pics on FB.....Virginia I'll try to find some time to upload a couple to somewhere I can share from.

Katie, congrats again! I need to go read the other thread!! I'm glad Rory is nursing well and that everything else is good! It's official, my baby fever just shot through the roof! lol.

Laura, you're already 17 weeks?! Didn't you just announce that you were pregnant? lol. Congrats on the house, glad it's all coming together!

Amanda, glad you got some Christmas shopping done. I've hardly done any... Oops.

Mary, I'm sorry about the knee. Ouch!! You really should go see a specialist, otherwise it could keep getting worse.

Virginia, so scary about Alex! I'm glad he's fine, though. Sorry you're having girl baby fever.

AFM, just got back from a week and a half up north! I didn't have Internet, which is why I was mia. Did the whole Thanksgiving, family, etc. thing all week. Had a good time, but I'm so glad to be home! So is Xander! He was such a good boy through it all, though. Now I have a ton of catching up to do. Yippie... I'll post more later, DH has to go back to work soon and I need to get Xander down for his nap.

Laura - congrats on your boy! I love the name.

Mary - I hope your knee gets better soon.

Katie - I'm glad it's all going so well! I'd bet, if anything, you have more milk this time. That's how it's been with me.

Lauren - glad Thanksgiving went well!

Hi everyone else!

AFM: still having some ridiculous baby fever. I'm glad I had already told DH we weren't going to take any more chances! I seems like everyone I meet has a newborn, is pregnant, or is TTC. It'll only be worse when the spring baby boom rolls around, huh?

Ugh. I hate this knee situation. I went to work last night and it was hell, OMG. I did make an appointment with an orthopedist on Thursday. I hope I can get some sort of answers quickly. I hope he just tells me that everything looks okay and it will just take some time to feel better. I just need some sort of reassurance, because it really feels like something is wrong with it. Sad

The worst part is I just called off for the next 3 days. It just put me into so much pain yesterday that I couldn't fathom going back today. I'm a little stressed because I had already requested a voluntary unpaid day in this pay period, so that means I'm only going to get a paycheck for 6 out of 10 days for this period. Under normal circumstances, that would be fine, but I have an extra $3,000 bill this month, not to mention all the Christmas expenses, ugh... But thankfully, I'm mostly done with Christmas (and have been for a few weeks now). Blah. This sucks. I have personal accident insurance that I'm thinking of trying to tap into just to cover the lost wages, but I'm not sure how that will work since I haven't seen the doc other than the urgent care yet, and he didn't take me out of work. Hmm. I dunno... Maybe the doc I'm seeing on Thursday will help with that.

Really nothing much to update here I've just been TIRED lately, and of course the one day Natalie sleeps in the cat finds a ball with a bell and is batting it between my room and the hallway. I want to go nap but I have lots of cleaning to do and a child to take care of. Sad

Mary- so sorry about the knee and all the work stuff. Ugh! Ohh I think a little test drive might be required totally!! I'd love an entry level DSLR - I'm not a fancy photog and I'm afraid to invest in it and then not learn it.......we really really need a new camera though so I should probably consider it.

Virginia - I bet baby fever will be hard for you especially as you approach the year mark where you were TTC with the other 2! But I'm sure those boys can keep you busy Smile And I'm hoping if I don't pump in the first couple weeks of my milk coming in it might help keep it under control. I need a stash for work but I think I made a mistake pumping right off the bat last time and encouraged CRAZY over production. In a couple weeks hopefully I can get in a pump 5oz or so a day pattern w/o my supply going CRAZY. I'm engorged today but it's not out of control. It does help that Rory is so big and eats A LOT

Lauren - Glad you're back and had a nice time and GL with the baby fever!

AFM we had our first pedi apt. All went well. He's one of the longest newborns she's ever had LOL She was expecting the measurement to be bad but it wasn't. He has also put on 4oz from discharge Sunday Smile Everything looked good and in 2 weeks I take BOTH boys back for Evan's 2 year and Rory's 2 week. That should be an adventure DH or my mom will come with me to help wrangle!

I'm glad everything is going so well, Katie! Taking 2 to the doc isn't actually that bad, especially if the doc is good and kind of switches between them based on how they're doing.

Mary - good luck resisting a "test drive". Lol

Amanda - I hope you get some sleep.

AFM: Yeah, that 1 year mark, especially in the spring will be tough for the baby fever. Of course, if my body continues it endless non-fertile signs I should be set, right. WinkTMI I had tons of EWCM for months before O with the others. This time, even though I'm at the point where I Oed with the others, I've only had two brief episodes of fertile signs since Oliver was born.

Wow, last night was rough. Alex has a nasty cold and woke at 2am all congested. He was up crying for a bit then settled down a little, but was getting up every 15 minutes saying he had to use the potty. I ended up "sleeping" on the floor of his room using a stuffed animal as a pillow. Then at 4:45am he announced he had to "go downstairs and finish dinner" Grrrr. Guess he didn't eat enough. I gave him a bowl of cereal and went back to bed. 15 minutes later he woke me up and said he wanted to play! I sent him back to bed and he finally fell asleep. ugh.

Virginia - Ugh, sounds like a long night. You gotta love it when it's one of the older kids keeping you awake, and not the infant, haha.

AFM - Struggling with the knee situation. I just feel worthless and I'm not really able to help at all with the boys. I'm soooo cautious of the leg that I can barely let the kids get close to me because I'm guarding it so much. I just hope it starts getting better soon. I'm anxious for this appointment with the doctor tomorrow.

Virginia - That is a long night! I honestly don't recall the last time Evan got us up.....maybe 6 months ago? But I think the crib helps with that lol he can't get out Smile

Mary - I hope you can get some answers on your knee that sounds very painful

We're decorating today. Well DH is doing most of it b/c Rory isn't a big fan of being put down. I wore him for a bit in the new Moby I bought yesterday and he loved it. My pelvis and body wasn't as thrilled - probably a little soon post delivery for baby wearing especially such a big baby. At least he likes it though! It will be a help if he continues to reject the vibrating chair/laying on the boppy etc. On the bright side slept 12-2:30 and then 2:30-4 on his own in the pack n play. Then did the rest of the night in bed with us. I really hate co-sleeping b/c I sleep like garbage so I was excited he did the first 1/2 of the night on his own. We have pictures set for next Wed! I'm so excited!

Mary - Congrats on Cal's first steps. Good to hear you got some days off to rest the knee, too bad it's unpaid :(, hope it's feeling better today.

Laura - Yay on offically joining team blue. Congrats on your first house, I remember how excited I was when I got my first, it was so small 1060 sq ft but it was my own.

Katie - Good to hear Rory is doing well. How is Evan dealing with baby brother?

Glad that your recovery is going faster.

Possibly TMI, even if you feel better sooner try to hold off on DTD early even after getting the OK and feeling good I was still quite sensitive after Natalie.

Lauren - Welcome back.

Virginia - Sorry to hear about the baby fever, thankfully the exhaustion of this week has stopped that for me this week.

*AFM*

I should just give up on sleep this week, first night the cats, second night Natalie, last night my stuipd body just kept waking me. Anyone want to come and watch Natalie so I can nap?

Of course I just want to sleep and I have company coming on Saturday so I have to get things cleaned up around here, I don't have the energy to do it!!!

Tonight one of the malls is doing pet photos with Santa so we'll be taking the girls and the dog to get their picture taken there. I'm excited about it. Hopefully it's good enough to put in the Christmas cards I got to send out since I haven't done photos yet.

Happy 4th Birthday, Raymond!!

Amanda - Sorry about the sleep problems. I hope you can get some rest soon!! Pet photos with Santa sounds like fun... Well, maybe for people with obedient pets. I can't imagine taking my insane dog to a mall and trying to get a picture, LOL!

Katie - I'm glad Rory is sleeping pretty well for a newborn. Funny, I swear Cal slept better as a newborn than he ever has the rest of his life, haha. We're getting there slowly but surely. He never has woke up for prolonged periods at night... Just long enough to eat and then back to sleep. He still often wakes a few times to eat though.

AFM - Doc appointment for the knee today. I'm a little nervous, but I'm not really sure why. Nervous that something is wrong that will require surgery. Worried that nothing is wrong and I'm wasting my time (but there are worse things that could happen, I guess). Nervous that I'll leave today's appointment with absolutely no answers. Ugh... We'll see. I hate going to doctors.

Virginia - Woohoo for your DH getting home early. That's a rarity, isn't it?! I hope the birthday went well. Did you have a party?

AFM - Knee is okay... It didn't really cause anymore damage than I already had. He said I could do an elective surgery to fix the ligament that would've torn the first time it happened (like 10 years ago), but that I'd probably get along just fine with less aggressive treatment, like just some physical therapy. He said it's a pretty common problem in young women and that I'm actually on the older end to have this issue and he would expect me to "outgrow it" eventually. He said I do have hyper-flexible joints which contributes to the problem (it's true... I can bend my fingers backwards to touch the back of my hand and various other weird human bendy tricks). But he said as you age and joints tighten up, it becomes less of a problem. I thought that was interesting. He did say I'm more prone to arthritis in the knee because it has happened several times and is wearing away tissue each time it happens. Anyway, no surgery is imminent, but he said maybe in the future if it gets worse or continues to be a problem. Back to work tomorrow for just one day, then I'm off for the weekend.

Virginia - HAPPY BIRTHDAY RAYMOND!!! Smile

Mary - glad the knee isn't anything horrible but just the same a pain to try and live with right now. And since DH has played Santa at Petsmart many times (they have rescues come in and we get part of the donations, we skipped this year b/c of Rory) believe me well behaved is not a requirement LOL He's had wild dogs, cats, iguana, rabbit.....you name it! As long as the dog isn't really fearful and willing to bite it works just fine.

Amanda - hope the pics came out well!

AFM - we did some Christmas shopping. Got my sister done....clueless on my mom and cousin still. I need to sit down and order tonight or tomorrow if I cant' find anything in stores. Rory has been totally sleepy today. Eat sleep poop repeat. Ah the life of a newborn Smile

Amanda - Are you sharing some of the pics?

Mary - Stinks that your knee is just something you'll live with. Take it easy.

Katie - I think we need some more Rory pics. Wink I just love squishy little newborns!

AFM - Claire is FINALLY crawling! She started last night. It was only a few strides at first, but now this morning she's really getting the hang of it! I'm so proud!

Hapy Birthday Evan! I seen pics on facebook. Looked like he got a good haul! Wink

I'm an Aunt again. James (DH)little sister had her baby last night. Arrived at the hospital and had him in 5 pushes. Crazy for a first time baby. Unfortunately, they live in WA now so I don't get any newborn cuddles but he isn't helping my baby fever the way it is so that might be a good thing. Mason is super excited. She is the aunt they were very close with before they moved to WA and still skype with her about twice a week. Smile

There are parts of the new forums I like but I am really not happy with the bulkiness. I love the separation of posts once in a topic, but before you get there the graphical interface is a bit bulky for my liking. I also don't like the blank right side, if you aren't using it for something center the information that is displayed... yeah I could go on and on.

Anyway another crappy night due to my body being dumb. At work today and not being overly productive because of the lack of sleep.

On the good side of things I got a bunch of Christmas shopping done on the weekend (with a little help from DH) and I have ideas for the remainder of the people on my list (except DH's Brother & SIL). I'd like to get all shopping done before the beginning of next week so wish me luck.

I'm not one to be picky about the site - I had to clear all my cache to log on but once I got that sorted out I was fine.

Things here are busy Smile Evan had an awesome 2nd bday and we had a lot of fun. Yesterday I got my first plugged duct, ugh. I spent the day working like crazy to clear it b/c I knew it would get infected. I THINK it's ok now. I have a red spot and it's still a bit tender but the shooting pain is pretty much gone. I probably caused it myself - I wore underwire for Evan's bday and didn't nurse him nearly as often as usual b/c we were so busy.

Rory's sleeping has been iffy. Last night I gave up and let him sleep in bed b/c I was just too tired to rock and repeat 100 times. He is starting to be awake more during the day though so hopefully that will begin to help things. Especially with DH going back to work next week!

Alright off to enjoy a little quiet time both boys are napping Smile

Hello all. I'm around, but just EXHAUSTED. I read all the posts, but not much time to post. Sean is sick (just a cold, I think)... Lost of sinus congestion and runny nose, little bit of a cough. For the record, I told DH two days ago that Sean was getting sick with sinus issues, and he said I was just worrying about nothing and being over-protective. Today, he agrees with me. Mama knows best!

I think they made more changes while I was at work today (either that or my laptop is dumb, a possibility), anyway everything is nice and centered. Still not a big fan of the large graphics on the list of topics, but looks like things are still under construction, so hopefully in the end everything will be pretty.

Had a very unproductive day at work today, that sort sucks cause I would really like to get the stuff I am working on done before Christmas, that way afterwards is stress free (well as stress free as can be working with family).

Tomorrow I plan to do my Christmas cards and make some almond flour shortbread cookies to see how they turn out (BIL has a gluten sensitivity) I love baking so am looking forward to that.

Man, this place looks different, eh? heh. Sorry I've been MIA a lot. The in-laws were here over the weekend and I've just been in a funk of a mood for the last week. Probably the weather, combined with hormones. I think I'm about to ovulate or just did - really crampy today. Of course the hospital couldn't get me in for my repeat CT Scan til this afternoon, meaning the absolute earliest I'd get the results is tomorrow evening. I was hoping I'd still have a chance this month to get pregnant, but it's just not looking like it unless my body holds out for another day or two (and that's assuming my results are good and I can go ahead and get pregnant). Oh well, no biggie. I can wait til next month!

Mary, sorry to hear Sean is sick again. Glad there are no ginormous issues with the knee, hope it's feeling better today.

Katie, sorry about the plugged duct. I always got one after wearing an underwire bra. Hope you have it all cleared out! I need to go check out the pics on FB.

Amanda, hope you finished your Christmas shopping!

Virginia, hope Raymond's birthday went well!

Everyone else, HI

sorry to disappear for a bit, the forum makeover was giving me trouble. I had some stuff blocked and so it was a pain to navigate until I fixed it.
Raymond has his 4 year appointment today. results were mixed. He's huge: 48 1/4lbs (99th) and 43.5" (97th). He failed his hearing (or should I call it listening?) test. I'm guessing he just wasn't paying attention (see below), but we go back in late Jan for a re-do. We've been having some issues with tantrums. It;s stressing out the whole family and sometime making it hard to care for his brothers. The doctor thinks we can get it under control (I hope so!). And his behavior during the appointment made her ask whether there's any family history of ADD. The answer is yes, but I'm skeptical that that's what's going on. I'll be meeting with his school in Jan and if they have concerns I guess we'll be back to talk with her about it.

Just need to vent, I think DH has heard enough of this, my grandfather has been asking over and over what DH and I want for Christmas, so out of desperation I said I wanted him to get us both Kindles (I figured we'd both use them and my grandpa always spends a lot). Well my mom was on Amazon's top selling products and finds this Icecream Ball (its a cheap icecream machine) anyway she suggests that to him, now he's all excited and going to look into getting one for me, I absolutely hate the idea the thing won't get any use (I have a popcorn popper and had a cotton candy machine that got used twice). There is no way to explain to my grandpa when someone plants an idea in his head that its a bad idea. Oh and then to make matters worse as he's leaving he tells me he is going to get DH an Kindle and we can share it.

Honestly I would be happier getting nothing right now. I'd be incredibly happy if my grandpa went out and donated his time to a food bank, homeless shelter or some other organization. Maybe he could donate some toys to Christmas Cheer on my behalf. I'd be happy with a kindle but even happier if his money/time was given to those in need, but that's me just dreaming.

I've been reading but get distracted and don't get to post 1/2 the time!

Virginia - sorry the doc wasn't great hope you can figure out the tantrums

Lauren - hope the CT comes out ok and you get the all clear to TTC!

Amanda - share a kindle? Seems hard if you're both reading a book! And why buy you something you'll never use? Sigh. Silly!

Mary - Saw on FB the boys slept last night wahoo! Hope your knee is feeling better

AFM - I got sleep last night. Sweet, wonderful sleep!! I think mostly b/c Rory screamed for 45 minutes straight on the drive home from the in laws and exhausted himself. I mean screaming raging freak out. So by the time we got home he nursed for like an hour straight and then slept 5 hours got up ate and slept 4 more. AMAZING. At his 2 week appointment Rory was 11 lbs 5oz he's a lot of newborn LOL And Evan at 2 years was 28lbs 6oz and 37 1/4 " - he was like 90th percentile for height and 55th for weight. Sounds right to me he's fairly tall but not a giant and pretty thin. Pants are often long enough to saggy in the waist lol

Anyone have any really good toy organization ideas? Something that will look nice in our living room (so not those crazy multi colored plastic toy bins I've found when googling) but will hold a lot of toys? After bday, christmas etc it's like a circus in here. I've pulled out all the old/outgrown toys but it's still out of control. I need to organize. BADLY!

Katie - Woohoo for great sleep! I think we both deserved it last night, haha.
For toys/organizing, my IL's bought us a nice wooden Amish-made toy box. It fits well with our living room decor. We also have the "cubeicals" from Target. We bought a 3x3 square one in a dark brown finish and kept all the bins to neutral brown/tan colors, so it really doesn't look too bad. It's in out dining room and is great for holding toys with a bunch of little pieces. We still need more though... My kids have so many darn toys. We're going to have to actually start using that finished basement of ours after Christmas.

AFM - Working tonight through tuesday, then I have the 21st - 26th off for Christmas!! Yahoo I am officially getting 6 full days off for Christmas. It's like a little vacation! Sooooooo overly excited. And I'm glad to have a few days before Christmas to get some last-minute stuff done and get things prepped for our dinner with our parents.

ETA: A chick on my March 2011 board just announced a pregnancy... And would you believe it... It did NOT stimulate baby fever!!! I think I've got my hands full for a while. That, and I'm soooo motivated to save up my money and sell this house.

I was actually looking at the Target bin thing - I'm just trying to figure out where the heck to put it! I'll be honest our back family room is much bigger than our front living room but b/c the dogs have that room we don't really play in it. It would be helpful for extra space. We have a closet I was trying to think of some creative ways to put more storage in there that would be hidden away and provide a good spot.....I'll have to work on this over my mat leave.....

And a mini vent. Why doesn't my body understand that it doesn't need to make milk to feed a village? I'm on my second severely clogged duct in 2 weeks. I'm sick of being in pain! And I know if I don't pump for the clog (I pumped 10oz between feedings yesterday in 7 minutes) I'll get mastitis. my body needs to relax!!

I hear ya on the milk thing! Mine has finally calmed down now, at 9.5 months post-partum, hahaha. Actually, it really calmed down once I got AF, about a month and a half ago. I still haven't had AF again yet.

One of the dreams I had last night was that I was 41 weeks pregnant. My doctor was trying to induce me, but I was convinced that I was already in very early labor on my own, so I was fighting him on it. He kept trying to scare me with stories of fetal demise and all this, but I was fighting with him. LOL.

Katie - :bighug: mu body does that, too. Just pump when you have a clog and freeze it and when you have no clog try to let it down-regulate. it'll get there eventually.

Mary - how is Cal doing with the solids? Did you ever figure out what was bothering him?

Amanda - frustrating. I hope someone suggests something better to him again.

hi, everyone else!

AFM: I've been reading when I get a chance. Oliver started crawling Friday and today did his first wobbly cruising. having 3 mobile boys is crazy. and Raymond hates when I do anything on my computer. So... I only manage to turn it on 2 or 3 times a week right now.

ETA: I've been feeling pretty done recently. Not sure if it's just Raymond's tantrums and such or if it'll stick around. We've made a little progress with him, but it's still annoying. He wants me to entertain him all day and if I leave the room he follows me... which often leads to him waking Oliver or preventing me from getting Oliver down. Things like cleaning the bathroom and cooking are really tough because it's not safe to have him around. The only thing which reliably keeps him busy so I can get stuff done is TV and I hate using that. And if I try to force him to entertain himself he starts shrieking. Ugh. I want it just to be a normal phase, but part of me wonders.

Well... I mentioned yesterday that I hadn't had AF again, and today she's here! I really just need to stop talking about it, because that's what happened last time too!! I'm glad to have an explanation of why I've felt like such crap the last couple days, painful belly, nausea, blech.

Virginia - Yay for Oliver!!! Is he crawling/cruising a little earlier than the other two? It seemed like they were a little older than this when they started, but I don't remember for sure. It's nuts for us just having two mobile ones.. Can't imagine three!!

I hope it's just a phase with Raymond. If not, what are you thinking? Do you think the doc was right when she (he?) mentioned ADD? I remember you had him evaluated for autism a while back, but nothing ever really came of that, right?

AFM - One of my techs is leaving today for Hawaii and I'm jealous! That's all, haha. I'm excited to just be working today and tomorrow, then off through the 26th, though. Smile

Virginia - so sorry it's creating stress. Of course I have no childhood behavior training at all so I'm useless but I think all kids have difficult phases. Hopefully you can figure it out - but if you weren't worried you wouldn't be a mom! And I bet 3 mobile is nuts! You have a lot on your plate!

Mary - YAY for time off! Sorry about AF though. Boo to that!

AFM - Evan went back to daycare today for the first time in 3 weeks. We were worried he'd be upset but DH said Miss Jess came right over to him and he happily headed to the breakfast table to eat cheerios with Lola. So that's a relief. Now since I'm home with just Rory I should be taking care of things. Instead we're snuggled in the chair. He didn't have a great night of sleep last night and now my right breast has a plug -- a REALLY REALLY painful one holy crap -- and I have a headache which happens when I have a bad plug. So I'm laying low. I took a really long hot shower and we've nursed a lot. Goal of the week is to get the boobs all back to normal and pain free!

Mary - Sad thing is it's no joke or trick, otherwise I wouldn't get upset. Good to hear you have a bunch of time off at Christmas. sorry to hear your AF showed, hopefully she'll be gone by Christmas.

Katie - If you come up with a solution to organization let me know, my house is invaded with toys. I'd like to get some shelves for our rec room put some baskets on the bottom for toys. Sorry to hear about your ducts, hope they clear up soon. Glad to hear Evan transitioned back into daycare well.

Virgina - Yay for another mobile LO, hope he's not too much trouble. Sorry to hear Raymond is being needy lately, when cooking and cleaning could you find him a "job" to do, I let Natalie pour and stir stuff when cooking as long as it doesn't have to do with the stove or raw meat. With cleaning she's pretty good at staying out of the way and playing just outside the door, though she had wonderful timing on needing the potty while I was cleaning the toilet.

*AFM*

Good news and bad news about Christmas, DH's niece (the one that lived with us) arranged to go to her other grandma's for Christmas, it's good cause honestly she's a pretty misrible child, bad cause it's got DH's mom all worked up. MIL is dealing with it totally wrong and just completely freaking out about it. She had two responses that would have been good and did neither, one option just say "Ok, that's cool" and left it giving no reaction showing DH's niece that it really didn't bother her, or she should have talked it over with DH's nieces other grandmother and said we had plans on the 25th and that she'd gladly let Chelsea spend every day on Christmas break there except then. Nope instead it has to be a crisis.

I got my Christmas shopping all done, possibly need to pick up a few more stocking stuffers for the girls but that's it.

My Pintrest acceptance came in today, took a look at it breifly but it's so confusing.

Grrrr. Just lost my whole darn post.

We had to take Oliver to the ER last night. His second day crawling he made his way over to a radiator and grabbed an uninsulated piece of metal. He has a nasty 2nd degree burn (blisters) on a about 1/3rd of his hand. He's a little trooper and was even crawling today (with it bandaged) but I feel terrible. I've known since we moved in over a year ago those would be a hazard and I never got around to doing anything about it. Today I took the time. I wish I'd done it earlier.
I think DH might be setting Raymond off. They have the same sort of personality and clash pretty badly at times. Today was a bit better, but that might have been because I let him watch way too much TV because I was so focused on poop Oliver.

Mary - -yay AF, I guess.

Katie - good luck with the clog. I know when BFing early on I tend to focus too much on the clog leading to a clog on the other side as soon as the first is clear.

That reminds me. I had a really nasty one just before Thanksgiving and worked so hard to clear it that I bruised my breast and nipple. OMG. letdown and BFing hurt like the blazes for about 4 days. Mary, I kept thinking of you. I have no idea how you kept that up as long as you did!

Amanda - sorry about the Christmas stress. I hope everyone backs off and you have a wonderful holiday.

Ohhh poor Oliver! He's really a mover huh? Wasn't Alex much less mobile? Don't beat yourself up you can't prevent all the injuries no matter what you do! And as for TV.....I'm so laid back about TV. I'm never going to win mother of the year. Oh well. Evan loves Mickey Mouse (Disney is totally launching a Disney Junior 24 hour channel in Feb and I'm excited lol) and Super Why.....and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. I just roll with it. He likes TV....so did I but I watched my gram's soapoperas LOL at least he's watching age appropriate things.

I do the same thing with clogs. Today was a good day he nursed A LOT. Maybe even a growth spurt. I think I cleared both clogs on both sides but they still hurt it will take a couple days for that to go away.

Hey y'all! :wavehello: I am still alive, I promise! Wink

Katie - Owen loves Mickey, too! And Jake and the Neverland Pirates. But I think that's because it's on when we come down in the morning (he will turn the TV on and sit on the couch ), and I usually let him watch 10-15 minutes while I'm fully waking up. Haha. Sorry about the clog! That sounds super painful!

Virginia - Poor Oliver! That stinks, but like Katie said, you can't prevent everything. Even if it was something "easily" fixed, you still have 3 kids you're chasing and worrying after, so it's not like you had all the time in the world to be babyproofing it all. Glad he's feeling better and I hope you can get things worked out with Raymond! That sounds really frustrating. Owen and I are waaaay too much alike, which usually ends up escalating some of his tantrums when I get really sick and tired of them and just can't be calm about him smacking me in the face anymore! Oh well. We all do our best! It will get better, I promise!

Mary - Yay AF? Lol

Amanda - That stinks about your Christmas situation with your grandfather! Hopefully you won't end up with another thing you won't use, but if you do, can you return it? Sorry about the drama with your niece.

Hi everyone else I missed!

AFM - Nothing new or exciting here, really! Just getting ready for all the Christmas stuff that's coming up. We're going out to my parent's house for the holidays (our last year! I refuse to travel over Christmas day starting next year when Owen will really "get" Christmas), so that should be fun. Hopefully not too much drama with my dad's extended family. Blah!

Thanks, as always.
Yeah, my others were late movers. Raymond crawled a little after 9 months and Alex at 11.5m months (he scooted on his bum for a bit first). This early mover thing is so new to me! I have no idea what I'll do if he starts walking early, too. (Raymond was 12m Alex was 16.5m!)

ETA: Do you have any idea how hard it is to keep a bandage on the hand of an almost 8 month old? This kid needs one of those cone things they make for pets. He's going to be one heck of a problem solver if this is any indication.

Virginia - Sorry to hear about Oliver's accident, glad to hear it's not bothering him too much.

I read that you can make cookie dough and then bake it at a later date, so today I made my chocolate chip and shortbread cookie dough, now all I have to do is toss them into the oven on the 24th for fresh cookies.
