haha I knew I missed people -- but typing on the kindle fire is annoying (lap top now). We are a boy heavy board....maybe my twin girl dream will come true (or nightmare depending on my mood) LOL

Congrats, Mary! Three boys is awesome. I'm sure girls are awesome, too, but... I only know boys.

That said, I spent the morning at the pediatrician and hospital with Raymond because Alex was jumping on him this morning and sprained his wrist. At least it's not broken. And he was thrilled to see the x-rays of his wrist and hand.
Still working my way towards being fertile. I'd love to get pregnant again this cycle, but whenever it happens I'm going to feel pretty darn cautious until we see a HB.

We do make a LOT of boys on this board! Hahaha... I think the most interesting thing will be as they grow, seeing how much they do or do not resemble each other, will some be short, some be tall, etc. So far, my two have similar hair/eye color, will the next one be the same or pick up some other gene from the pool? We have a variety of blond and dark brown in my family, DH has some very red red-heads in his family (including SIL). DH and the boys are all strawberry blond. It will just be neat to see how they're the same or different.

Virginia - I hope your luck in the pregnancy department turns back around soon.

AFM - Calvin is sick. He was fussy throughout the night last night, then woke up puking at 5am. I assumed it was my IL's feeding them too much freaking candy yesterday, but it might be a bug.. He had a bit of a fever today and vomited some more this afternoon. I'm so glad to have tomorrow off work.. It was painful to go in today, especially because we got several inches of snow and some freezing rain today. I just wanted to stay with the bots, especially with Calvin being sick.

Mary: my DH and his older brother look fairly similar but his youngest brother barely looks related to them! I'm excited for this baby no matter what the gender because I'm excited to see a same-sex baby as one of my kids and similarities/differences! Sorry about your sick little guy My stepmom gave my kids a ton of candy last weekend while we visited and neither of them slept...hmmm, wonder why?! BTW, was the Christmas surprise worth the wait??

Virginia: yikes sorry about the hospital visit. Glad he found the experience cool at least!

Katie: very true that we are so boy heavy, but EVERYONE (including me I guess) think this baby is a boy so maybe I'll keep the trend going. I'll seriously DIE of shock if it's a girl. Don't have a strong preference either way though.

Hi everyone else We've spent the day playing with new toys and I'm trying very hard to get my Christmas decor put away...I know, baaa humbug! I feel so cluttered with my Christmas tree and everything up that I just want it out of the way now that the holiday is over. Brekke is pretty bummed that it's really over now that she sees the tree coming down. I told her we had so much fun that we'll do it again next year and she cheered up, LOL! I also have been working on fixing our snowblower today - we are supposed to get that big storm tonight - and I got the worst part of it done, but I need DH's strength to finish I hate feeling defeated by it LOL but I already tweaked my back moving DH's 100 lb foosball table for Christmas so no reason to kill myself when DH can probably get it no problem. Being a girl is rough haha

Totally worth the wait! The extra anticipation and excitement made it fun. There were moments when I wanted to hurry up and find out already, then other times I thought it would be awesome to keep it going until delivery day.. But I'm not that strong, haha.

Calvin has passed out. I wouldn't mind if he slept through the night now, but I highly doubt it.

Mary - I said it on FB, but congrats! Man, three little boys! My DH is the youngest of three boys, and he's super close with them both! Even though there is seven years between him and the oldest. And like Ash's DH and his brothers, Darin looks like one of them, but the middle one looks like the milk man's baby! No joke! I hope Calvin is feeling better in the morning!

Ash - Be careful, lady! Tweaking your back while pregnant is the WORST! I had some sciatica while pregnant with both boys and it's awful. That's so funny Brekke cheered up like that! But hey, it's true!!

Virginia - Scary! Glad everyone is (more or less) okay!

Katie - I've often wondered... do you think we're boy-heavy around here because most of us chart/use NFP and know when we're fertile? Like most of us here know when O day is and DTD accordingly, so I just wonder. You know, because they say Y sperm are faster, blah blah blah. But I wonder!

AFM - Can't believe Christmas is over already! Although, we're only 1/3rd of the way through it here! We have DH's family chaos- I mean, Christmas this weekend (hey, it's six cousins under six... it's insane)! And then my parents come next weekend! So the boys are going to be lost in presents for the next two weekends! Oy. We have no room as it is, now! I have no idea where we're going to put stuff! I know my mom said they got Owen a race track and Sam that Leapfrog musical table, two BIG items! Bah. We're totally out of room. Can't wait to put this house on the market in March and get some more SPACE! Either way, though, should be fun.

Also, Owen has been PT'd since last March, but has just started peeing all over the walls!! Gah! Anyone else deal with this with little boys?! I think he's just getting distracted, but man! It's just so weird that it took him nearly a year to start peeing on the walls. I thought that was from the beginning!

ETA: We started Sam on solids a few days ago, and he's SUPER weird about it. I'm actually surprised, because he's been soooo interested in our food for such a long time. I was just lazy about getting him started. Anyhow, he loves avocado, but won't eat anything else! We've tried sweet potato, pear, and banana, and it's all a no go. He gags and acts like it's the most horrific thing ever. I have no idea! Any thoughts? Maybe he's just not ready? It's just so weird he'll gobble up avocado, but not anything else. So I can't tell if it's a readiness thing, or what. I guess I'll just randomly try once a week or so, and see what happens. Guess I need to buy more avocado!

Hm that's an interesting theory Jen! Could be! I swear for the next I will JLIH but I know my body too well....it's impossible not to know

Rory hated purees so I'm no help. He was brutal but did "real" food with ease so basically we just went with it. He will eat anything as long as it isn't in puree form!

Mary I hope Calvin is feeling better tomorrow!

Ashley - I wanted to take the decorations down today but was too lazy, I'll take it all down Sat - once the holiday is over I'm over the tree.

Jen - I've wondered that exact same thing about the BD timing on this board and having mostly boys! This time, I *tried* to JLIH, but like Katie said, I just know my body too well. It's impossible to miss the signs, then of course you have to get the BD in, lol.

Boo for the peeing on the walls thing. Does he pee standing up? We haven't tried teaching Sean to pee standing yet, so our biggest problem at this point is that he waits until the last minute and sometimes ends up with a puddle on the floor by the toilet (grr). It makes me insane because he KNOWS he has to pee, but he's "too busy" to stop what he's doing and go. Or too worried that Calvin is going to take his toy while he's gone.

As for the baby feeding thing, I'm guessing it's probably a matter of readiness. It took Calvin FOREVER before he could physically eat anything without gagging or even vomiting. I can remember trying to feed him some sweet potato diluted with breast milk at Christmas last year, and he could NOT eat it. He gagged everywhere and got really hysterical. He was 10 months old. Somewhere between then and his first birthday, he picked it up better. I remember being seriously scared that he wouldn't even be able to enjoy his cake smash, but he did okay with it.

Katie - I'd love to take our tree down today, but I'll need DH's help, and he just spent an hour figuring out his snow-blower and using it for the first time. He got it for Christmas last year and then it NEVER snowed! We're already doing better in the snow department this year than we did last year. We didn't put up any decorations outside this year and did minimal decoration inside (barely even any ornaments on the tree, thanks to the boys). So the cleanup should be relatively easy.

AFM - Calvin is acting better today and made it through the night without vomiting. He woke up fussy once and I thought he was going to throw up, but he didn't, thank goodness. He hasn't had much to eat or drink, so I hope he can hold something down today. I *really* hope Sean and the rest of us don't get it.

Mary - Congrats on adding another boy to the clan, you really are going to be outnumbered. Even the dog is male.

DH was greatly outnumbered by females until we adopted some furbabies that were male.

Katie - I'm not sure what makes me have girls, but if I could have another I would. So funny that with Natalie I was hoping for a boy but if I could have another child I wouldn't care about the gender.

I have a well behaved 13 year old girl and it's trying at times, I couldn't imagine twin girls at that age. O.o

Virginia - Thinking BFP for you.

Sorry not too many personals, just really playing catch up.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas/Holiday.

    *AFM*

If I shared a pic of BIL's kids and mine together you'd think they were all siblings, even SIL's kids are pretty close looking but they've picked up some of their dads traits. My nephew and daughter who are both 13 look like twin brother and sister other than height, he is way shorter. My girls really are starting to look alike, Natalie is like a petite version of Dana.

As of this morning AF hasn't shown I normally have a cycle of 29 days today will be CD34 if AF doesn't show. I'm thinking the stress of the holidays is delaying it. If I don't have AF by the time the weekend is over I may see if my family doctor can squeeze me in next week, even if it's just to see the nurse practitioner, if it's the red head I like her a lot.

Mary - Yeah, Owen has been standing up to pee for several months, now. It's actually hilarious. He will lean over and hang onto the seat after he puts it up. Which I guess is a good thing because then he doesn't pee all over the rim! He dribbles sometimes, but that's not bad. We taught him a "shake it" dance, so it's kept the pee not-in-the-toilet to a minimum.

Yeah, the BD thing I've often wondered! I'm SURE it's because we're all so O-aware, haha. I keep saying I'm going to JLIH next time (we loosely agreed to TTC this time next year! ), but I know me - I won't! The minute I see EWCM, we'll be BDing!

And yeah, I guess he's just not ready! For now, I'll just stick to the avocado he's eating a few times a day after his bottles, and we'll just keep testing it out. I tried baby-led weaning this morning with half a banana, and he made a weird face. It's so weird! It's like he doesn't like the taste! Funny guy. I even tried pureeing a banana with some formula yesterday for a "familiar" taste, and he still refused it. Oh well, we'll keep trying! Since I started avocado, he's been STTN (he was getting up once a night for a bottle), but last night he got up again. Bah. I think we may need to night wean, but he seriously will NOT go back to sleep until you feed him. I don't know what to do about it.

Glad Calvin seems to be feeling better!

Katie - I keep our tree up until New Year's! This year we'll take it down the weekend after New Year's, since my parents are coming to do Christmas next Thursday. So it needs to stay up until then! But I am getting tired of vacuuming up pine needles! Also, Sam has had this runny nose since last week (ugh, it will NOT go away!), and I keep finding pine needles stuck to his upper lip from him rolling all over the place!

Amanda - GL with your cycle! Hope AF shows soon!

AFM - Nothing today but laundry! That's all I did yesterday, too. We got about 3 or 4" of snow yesterday, then it rained, so it's all icy. I'd like to run out to Target to exchange this Imaginext Batmobile we got Owen for Christmas (it quit working the minute we took it out of the package! We tried new batteries and everything, and it still won't work. Boo. He loved it, too), but I think the roads are kind of icy. Maybe I can swing by tomorrow on my way home from Sam's 6 month appointment.

In other news, how is Sam 6 months old already?!
