Ashley - I'm jealous of the napping! Evan pretty much doesn't nap and if you get 1.5 hours out of Rory it's a miracle. I say enjoy it it's like a gift and you're preg

Amanda - That is scary I'm glad you're ok!

Lauren - I hope you're feeling better! And I'm jealous of your kiddo napping too

Virginia - Crossing my fingers the u/s is great whenever you do it!

Jen - yay for shopping alone typically I never do the shopping so having to go at all would be a PITA for me lol Usually DH brings Evan and they shop together on Sunday afternoons it's their thing.

AFM - Ugh Monday's interview was rather intense. 4 or 5 situational questions "tell me about a time when...be specific, give details" Blah. A couple I felt good about one I felt REALLY was total crap and the rest just eh. The gal I was interviewing with was nice enough but definitely no non-sense. I should hear back this week either telling me thanks but no thanks or setting up an in person interview which would also consist of a cross country trip. So we'll see. I'm feeling like it probably won't happen but we'll see! I'm eager to know either way. In other news with sick kiddos I never wound up getting my hair cut last month and tomorrow I'm off so I'm sendingg the kiddies to daycare, cleaning the house for a few hours and getting a haircut. It will be a lovely day

Katie - GL with the interviews.

sorry personals might be a bit sparse while I deal with the lovely first-tri stuff.
DH really wants to go to the u/s, so I guess we're keeping it on Friday. we'll see how it goes.

Katie - I'm sure you did great on the interviews! I may have missed this, but does taking this new position mean a move for you guys? Yay for a kid-free day to clean and pamper yourself with a cut!

Ashley - I agree with Katie, take it while you can! Hahaha. I love long nap days, but I wish they'd give me a heads up BEFORE the nap so I'd know to do something! Sam is typically like 80-90 minutes, but Owen still gives me a good 2-2.5 hours. So yes, enjoy it!

Amanda - Oh man! Glad you're okay! I'm waiting for the day I bite it on the steps - there is always junk at the bottom (usually left by me ).

Virginia - Hoping the u/s is good! I had an u/s with Sam at 6w2 days or something (maybe 6w3d, I can't remember now), and he had a HB then! It was still slow, so it must have JUST started, but it was there. Crossing fingers you get to see one!

AFM - Baking Owen's cake today! And then I think I'll do the buttercream sometime tomorrow, maybe during Sam's morning nap. DH is home for Owen's birthday (how is he 3 tomorrow?!), so we'll take him out for his birthday pancakes like we've done since he turned 1, and then we're heading to Monkey Joe's (bounce house) after Sam gets up from his morning nap to meet some friends and let the kids play. Should be a fun day! I asked Owen what he wanted for his birthday dinner, so we're having hotdogs and french fries. At least it's an easy fix, right? Haha.

Virginia - GL I'm totally crossing everything that it's a great little sticky bean!

Jen - *if* I got the job and they paid me enough in salary, signing bonus and relocation then yes we'd be moving to the west coast. But there are a WHOLE lotta IFs in there. I haven't even been asked to come for an in person interview so we'll see. I am hoping they tell me today or tomorrow if I do or don't get another interview. I have mixed feelings. My competitive side wants to get the job simply b/c I want to be good enough (lol) but realistically I don't think I'll be crushed if I don't. I applied on a whim not at all seriously and didn't expect them to contact me and I KNOW they are brutal about who they add to their teams and a XC move soudns REALLY hard

Hello all - Sorry I've been a little MIA lately. It has been insane around here with Calvin's broken arm, Sean's black eye (he was in pretty bad pain for quite a while with it, just seems mostly normal over the past 1-2 days), and my coworker's cancer. He found out yesterday that it's a pretty aggressive type of cancer. It has moved into the muscle behind his bladder, which isn't the worst-case scenario (yet)... It would be worse if it had moved into the fat beyond the muscle, which it had not yet. That said, the doctor he saw in the smaller city where we work is not able to treat it, so he referred him on to a doctor at the cancer center at OSU who specializes solely in genitourinary cancers. He's supposed to be top 5 in the country for what he does, so hopefully he can get him all fixed up. It's scary for him, and I think he's mostly pissed off because he's always led a healthy lifestyle... Eats healthy food, is physically active, of healthy weight, doesn't have unhealthy habits like smoking or whatever. Sucks for him. So anyway... Things have been a little crazy in this area lately. He hopes he can get his cancer situation under control before my maternity leave, which seems awfully optimistic to me, but I'll let him keep whatever optimism he has left. Blaaahh.

AFM - This baby is getting big. OMG. My lower back and belly hurt a LOT at work today. My belly still hurts a lot, even with rest. It doesn't really feel like round ligament pain, but I'm not sure what else it would be. I guess maybe that's it.. And just normal stretching and whatever. Blah. He moves a lot though, and this time I can actually feel him because I don't have an anterior placenta like I did with Calvin. I can feel everything, and I love it! I feel his little arms and legs moving around. I'm pretty sure he's head down. It's early yet, but it would be nice if he just stayed that way. Still not even close to picking out a name, ugh...

Ashley - I'd be glad if Nat napped at all, lately she can't make it to dinner time without being cranky but refuses to nap, probably cause she hasn't had them on a regular basis in about a year.

Katie - At least the stress of the interview is over for now, just have to wait. Glad you found some time to get your hair done and the house cleaned.

Virginia - Hope little bean gives you a nice picture on Friday.

Jen - Sounds like Owen's birthday is going to be a fun day. Enjoy it!

Mary - Sorry about your co-worker, that's what sucks about cancer it doesn't descriminate.
Nat enjoyed being upside down during the third trimester of my pregnancy, my ribs really didn't appreciate it, hopefully baby boy doesn't leave you too uncomfortable.

    *AFM*

Spent a 1/2 day in the office, then my mom got a call from my grandma saying she wasn't well and wanted to go to the hospital, so I got brought home early since my house is on the way to the hospital.

After my grandma was checked in my mom came back to bring us to Dana's eye doctor appointment. Unfortunately Dana does need glasses, it's no big surprise since both DH and I wear glasses, she is near sighted like me (DH is farsighted), which kinda sucks since reading glasses are so much cheaper. I'm just glad we have insurance for that.

Mary - I hope you get some rest and good news soon. And I hope your coworker pulls through okay.

AFM: did one more beta yesterday. the MWs gave me different times for the u/s, one wanted my level over 2000, one wanted it in the 5-6000 range. Yesterday afternoon it was 13184. 5w5d. Not bad at all. In case you're wondering, it's more than double the singleton average on betabase and even above the twin average. I'm pretty sure we just have one, though. I guess we'll find out tomorrow. My u/s is in exactly 24 hours.

ETA: okay... I was just checking baby half off and they haev a product called the "blowout blocker" which is supposed to act like a cloth extension to a diaper. I'm kind of amused and skeptical at the same time. I think I might order a couple. If they work I can always make a few more of my own. I kind of suspect they'll stay in the drawer and never end up on the baby. But, if I have one who, like the others, goes through a phase of 7+ days between poops it might be nice for when I know one is due.

Virginia: I saw those too and wondered if I could make one if I needed too. Looks simple enough. That being said, I *knock on wood* haven't had any major blow out issues with either of my kids aside from one or two when they were teeny. Anyway, great beta #!! I won't lie, I'm pulling for twins from you...someone on this board needs twins Have a great u/s tomorrow, KUP! Lots of early HB vibes

Amanda: Bummer that Dana needs glasses, life is always easier without that need but what do you do? I had great vision until I was about 12, then dealt with it for 2 years before finally going to an eye doctor and what a difference glasses made when I needed them! I ended up only wearing them in school if I needed them to see for about a year, then got contacts.

Mary: that's too bad about your coworker, scary stuff!! Sorry to hear you are in so much pain but yay for feeling your little guy lots! My other two went head down about 28 weeks and never moved so he totally could be in position for good. My baby seems to be undecided as to how he wants to lay...I have a very hard time figuring out his positioning but based on where the majority of kicks are, I'd say he's usually transverse, then switches to breech. I had a few high kicks today so I'm hoping he decides being head down isn't so bad here in the next month or so because I will literally have a panic attack if he tries to stay one of the other ways much longer. GL at Calvin's appt tomorrow, hope he gets those pins out!!

Jen: Glad Owen still naps well for you too! I saw his pic on FB from his birthday party, he is so dang cute! Happy birthday Owen!!

Katie: sorry the interview was kind of extreme. GL! And hope you are having a great haircut/housecleaning day! I spent an hour yesterday cleaning my dog's eye "goobers" off our doors from when he pushes them open with his face...pretty gross.

Baby boy kicked me up high today and it brushed my rib cage...seriously?! I should be a few weeks away from that still! So of course I'm stressed that I'm going to be measuring huge again next appointment, but I have 3 weeks of suspense to wait that out. I guess the only good thing would be I would just maybe get a u/s out of it if I'm way ahead again But pleeeeease don't let this baby be huge! lol

we've had crazy blowout issues with all the kids. Raymond (as a 2 month old) managed one which went all the way up his back and down inside the sleeve of his shirt. It was crazy.
Raymond and DH want twins, too (I haven't told the kids, but I think Raymond suspects something). I'd rather not have twins, honestly. I'm getting the first waves of m/s and it's always been bad enough with singletons. I don't think I could handle anything worse.
