    Happy New Year!
And Happy Birthdays to Katie and Claire, too!

Mary - congrats again on another boy. I'm curious, does this make you any more likely to go for #4 someday?
Ashley - did you decide whether you're going to find out or not?
Amanda - did AF show? I had a crazy dream a couple weeks ago that you got pregnant again and we were all amazed.
Katie - any news on when you'll TTC?
    everyone else, hi!

AFM: I get to start the New Year with CHs. I'm having trouble being excited about them, though. Yeah, TTC is happening, but it doesn't really hold any excitement anymore.

    Happy New Year, y'all!

Virginia - GL to you! yay for CH's! I can totally understand why you'd be apprehensive, but a healthy, sticky bean is coming your way! I feel it!

Katie - Happy birthday! Sounds like a nice, relaxing day you have lined up. Yeah, are you TTC this spring/summer, I think you said? Suuuuper exciting! We are TTC this year, too!

Lauren - Don't worry about cosleeping, you totally have to just roll with it right now! Well, unless you're a total spaz like me. I barely sleep a wink if a baby is in bed with me, so it doesn't do any of us any favors. Sam slept in bed with me in the hospital, but the kid literally REFUSED to sleep anywhere but with someone. When we got home, he really liked the newborn napper on our PnP. I know it's not supposed to be used for nighttime sleep, but oh well.

Mary - Did your kids actually make it to midnight?! I just saw the pic of Calvin you posted on FB. DH and I didn't even make it! Haha. We were in bed by 11. I know, we're so old and unfun. But we were tired from Sam being up a few times the night before.

    Everyone else, hello!

Making homemade shrimp bisque with crusty bread for our New Year's dinner! We totally don't do the pork and 'kraut around here. Yuck!

Virginia - I've always felt that it wouldn't take much to sway me into having 4, haha. I'm pretty sure DH is feeling done after this one, and I'm at the point where I wouldn't be heartbroken if we stopped at 3, so we're probably done. But I love the idea of 4, because it's just a nice even number. I hear ya on the lack of excitement about TTC now. I think the whole m/c experience is part of the reason I would be okay with being done after 3. I'd be happy to never experience that BFP then fear of m/c again.

Jen - The food sounds yummy! I love kraut, so I don't mind the typical new years meal, lol. We usually have some potatoes with it. And YES, my kids made it till midnight. We went to bed right after that and they passed out hard and slept till 9, so it was a pretty good night.

AFM - We went out to play in the snow for a bit earlier. Here are a few pics...

We tried to play in the snow and Evan only cried. LOL gotta love it. He was crabby and tired and it was windy and cold. We'll try again on a warmer day.

Jen you're TTC?!? I thought you were 2 and done? YAY TTC! I think I'd like a spring/summer baby so I'm thinking August TTC but my sister's wedding is in Sept so I'm thinking TTC Aug then hold off Sept b/c I'd literally be like 4 weeks preg for her wedding (It falls on roughly CD1, yes I checked, yes I'm OCD, I can't help myself) and I'd rather NOT be in the throws of freaking out early pregnancy for her wedding but i wouldn't mind being like 8 or 9 weeks preg. SO July/Aug maybe JLIH Sept skip Oct all out TTC. Now I have to make it that long....I have had crazy baby fever!

Virginia - I understand completely! Huge hugs I hope you have a nice healthy sticky bean !

Jen - Yay for TTC this year! What month are you thinking of starting?
Katie - I was 8 weeks pregnant for my sister's wedding and hated it. But I get the m/s from hell. You're one of the lucky ones, right?
    Mary - awesome pictures!

Lauren - I have fallen asleep while nursing in bed so many times. I usually make sure my arm is under the baby so I can't roll over without noticing him. It also helps me wake up again when my arm falls asleep.

ETA: I decided to start the pre-potty training process with Oliver. I know he's really young, but if he gets interested it would be nice to PT this summer before having #4. So, he gets to watch the Once Upon a Potty movie and I'll talk to him about how his brothers use the potty and read all our potty books and practice sitting on the potty... might as well while we're stuck inside. He hates the cold and the snow and his snowsuit and mittens and everything about winter.

LOL, just realized I was still posting on the December thread, even though I had posted here.

Jen - I totally missed the part about you TTC this year. YAY!!

Katie - Yeah, Calvin isn't a big fan of the cold/snow. He hates wearing mittens, hats, etc. He had trouble walking in it. But he LOVES going down the slide, so he was happy as long as we were letting him go down the slide over and over. And we don't have hills, so DH pulled them around in a little sled, and both boys loved that (and fought over it, of course).

Virginia - Good luck with the PT. I've been thinking I'd love to start with Calvin, but he's honestly not showing many of the signs of readiness. I wish. I'd love to have him well on his way to trained and maybe not have two in diapers for very long. We'll probably wait until he's around 2.5yrs. We didn't train Sean till around his 3rd birthday, and we felt like maybe we could have done it a few months sooner with him.

AFM - I just feel exhausted all the time now. I'm ready to be done with Winter already. I think I have the Winter blues. I think it doesn't help that I have this long drive to work now, and it's even longer when the roads are bad. And I just want to get outside and do more stuff.

Honestly, Oliver isn't showing any signs of being ready, either. But I'd like to try to get him thinking about it.

Mary - I hear you on winter! I always say after Christmas and New Year, spring can come! I haaate the dead of winter after the holidays! It's so depressing. Love the pics of your boys, though!

Virginia - GL with PTing Oliver! Never hurts to see if they're ready or not! I'm a huge believer of letting them lead the way on that, definitely. I have a friend who attempted to PT her completely uninterested 23-month-old, and then wanted advice because she was scared of the potty. I told her to drop the whole thing! Ask her if she wants to try the potty, but if not, leave it be. No sense in pushing her into a total regression and then having to PT a resistant 3 or 4 year old, right?! Besides, she's super young. No rush in my book. And we won't be TTC until December! Haha. So I have a good year or so.

Katie - Totally understand about the pregnancy and wedding thing! We went to a wedding 4 hours away when I was like 6 weeks pregnant with Owen. Nothing like being totally sick AND scared the whole time you're away from home! A summer baby is awesome! Although, I had Sam and was like yessss, I'll get to be outside with my newborn and toddler and not stuck in the house.... yeeeeah, not so much considering it was like 50000 degrees this summer! And yeah, DH always said two, but I always had three in my head. We had a big to-do about it a month or two after Sam was born (I desperately wanted to go for #3, he did not), but I know mine was hormonally-induced, haha. We decided to table it until after Sam was a year old, and then revisit. Although, on Christmas Day, DH admitted that he was only considering #3 because it was so important to me, and that when it came down to it, he'd oblige because he'd never regret another one. So, that being said, if (because, I guess I could technically still chicken out, right?!) we go for it, we'll TTC in December! I totally have zero baby fever, though.

AFM - My parents come tomorrow to do Christmas! Aaaah! Where do I put all these toys?! Should be insanity, but I know the boys will have tons of fun! Owen absolutely ADORES my mom, so he is super excited she's coming tomorrow! I guess grandpa is chopped liver.

CRAPPY I read and posted on the December thread today, just posting my AFM section here it's too late for me to read everything right now.

    *AFM* (copied from December chat)

Keeping it short I should be working (and I already did personals while "working").

AF showed on Saturday so that's a relief.

My friend that was out drinking is at home he couldn't get time off over the holidays. His wife went north to visit family with the baby, and of course mom has lots of help from family with the baby. So he wasn't drinking while baby was at home.

Amanda - Glad AF came. Woohoo!

Jen - I'm glad your DH came around to the idea of a 3rd. He's right... You can't regret your babies after you have them!

Virginia - Hopefully Oliver will surprise you.

AFM - Have I mentioned I *hate* the first of the year? At work that is... It's like the first of the month, on 'roids. Everyone's insurance changes. 50% of them do not have their new cards, and somehow that's our fault/problem. The other 50% have no idea that their copays are going to go up, or even worse, that they have a deductible to pay down. No one actually READS their paperwork. So the first business day after the new year is a NIGHTMARE. But the problem is, it's not all magically better after the first day... Because of course, not everyone runs out to fill their Rx's on Jan 2. No, it continues on for pretty much the entire month of January. The only thing saving my sanity is the fact that my new store is significantly slower than my old store, so it really wasn't all THAT bad (although my techs were freaking out, lol... they have no idea how much worse it can be). So anyway, today ought to be another fun day.
