The sharing gets better, Mary. My older two are getting pretty good at it. Although Alex does sometimes insist that Raymond "has to share his dessert because sharing is good."

I started a new thread with some pics. How's that for a teaser?
    big boy 12.8.07 @ 39+2 7lbs 8oz, 20.5" BFed for 13 months
    middle boy 8.12.09 @ 39+4 7lbs 9oz, 21" BFed for 13.5 months
    little boy 4.26.11 @ 38+4 6lbs 14oz, 19.5" BFed until 26mo and again 30-37mo
    baby boy 10.25.13 @ 41+0 8lbs 15oz, 21.5"
    8.16.12 & 12.16.12

TTA, but would welcome a surprise

Mary - You amaze me you work all those hours as a pharmacist and then find the time to do some make ahead meals, the pasta sounds YUMMY!

3 is a good age for the indepence but that comes with it's disadvantages, we had so many temper tantrums (still do) because Natalie wants to do things herself, and some times she just cant.

    Hello everyone else

    *AFM*

Did lots of running around on the weekend but nothing was really high stress or urgent, that was nice.

Today I am working, should be an easy day, it's good because I didn't sleep well, I was crowded by cats and when I moved DH's cat decided my feet were a target. People wonder why the dogs aren't allowed in the bed, 2 cats and 2 people are enough thank you.

Virginia: reminds me of something Brekke would say. Congrats on the lines, really hope this one works out!!

Amanda: Brekke gets frustrated sometimes trying to do things herself and will have outbursts. But generally i like this age.

Hey everyone else! I read back a page but am on my phone and can't go back and forth to respond. Dane is finally starting to feel better and sleep again but Brekke picked up the cold now too. She doesn't seem to have the fever or generally acting lethargic like he was but that cough is back so I'm still waiting to get a normal night of sleep. DH & I both have had it in our heads a bit but nothing too nasty.

Virginia - Oooh man! I am stressed out for you. Do see a slight hint of a line on a couple of the sticks. It's sooo light, but I know they're always lighter on camera than they are in real life. I can't wait to see what tomorrow's test brings. I hope the 7th of the month is GOOD luck for you this time.

Ashley - I hope you all start feeling better soon. Glad to hear Dane is on the ups.

Amanda - I feel kinda bad because I slack on the cooking during my work week. I was doing pretty well with it until I changed stores and have the super-long commute now. I figure if I can make a couple big things on my days off, that will help. We don't mind eating leftovers. I hear ya on the bed thing. Our bed is WAY too full. I was all ready to kick the kids out of our bed, but then I read this TRAGIC story about a 3-yr-old girl who died in her bedroom when her dresser (not even a big dresser) fell on her and compressed her airway. Her parents were sleeping and didn't know it happened until they found her later in the morning. SO SAD. So anyway, now I'm all paranoid about the bookshelf and dresser in their rooms. Ugh. We need to secure them to the walls, but I hate to do it in this house when we're planning to move. I might just put them in the basement until later.

AFM - Nothing exciting. Baby has moved a lot today, which always makes me smile. I've determined from his ultrasound pictures that he's going to come out looking like Calvin. Can't wait till May to find out if I'm right, haha.

ETA: So sad. The girl I mentioned from my birth board who had an u/s with some troubling results... Her baby passed away. She delivered him in the wee hours of this morning, around 20 weeks. So sad for her.

Oh that is so sad Mary. and we have monitors in both kid' s rooms so if Evan was messing with the dresser we' d hear it. it works well except that he knows he can talk to us and will and knows to say things lime "daddy I'm sick come get me" lol I do love not having a kid in the bed 10 months with Rory nearly drove me insane but get sleep however you can is still my main motto.

John Virginia I'm off to check it out

Amanda hop it was a good work day

Ashley hope the kids are better

afm things are busy. rumors abound at work about management etc I can't fret too much about changes it will be whatever it will be. I have no say so I might as well just relax. I am trying to fund a new haircut any ideas for super straight fine hair?

Mary - I made DH read that blog about the girl who died from the dresser falling on her, and he got all choked up and couldn't read the whole thing! He went up later and checked Owen's dresser to see if it was easily moved. I didn't think it was, it's pretty heavy and solid, but still. DH's dad is actually coming over later this week to help us secure it. We're planning on moving this year, too, so instead of buying all the crazy anchors, we're just drilling some sort of giant screws (I have no idea what kind it is, haha) through the back of the dresser into the studs in the wall. SO SAD about the girl on your BB.

Ash - Hope everyone is feeling better, soon! Sam caught Owen's crud and was up pretty much all night last night. It was so weird, though. He was restless and babbling almost nonstop from about an hour after bed until around 2am when he started crying. I went in to check on him, and he had a 102 degree fever! I felt bad! I totally would've given him some meds well before 2am had I known that was the issue. It was just so weird he was talking (I thought it was his crawling milestone keeping him up) instead of fussing. Kids!

Amanda - I hate a full bed! In fact, I usually kick DH off my "side" of the bed, too. Haha. I'm so weird like that. I want my space in bed!

Katie - I have super straight fine hair, but I have TONS of it. So my cut suggestions might not work! What about layers? BANGS?! They're "in" , right? Haha. I don't know if I have the balls to get bangs just yet! We'll need pics of the new 'do.

Virginia - Everything crossed for you!

AFM - Just trying to make our way through this nasty crap! I think Owen is on the up and up now, so that's good. No fever today at all for him, and he kept following me around saying, "Eat please, mommy" haha. So I think he is feeling better! Poor Sam is in rough shape, though! He has the runs on top of the fever and runny nose, so I changed him probably 10000 times today. By the afternoon, his bum was soooo red and he just cried and cried when I had to clean him up. Poor buddy. My CD cream wasn't doing much for him at that point, so I threw him in disposables for the rest of the day/night and slathered some A+D on him. I hope he's feeling better tomorrow! At least he's slept nice and soundly so far tonight, unlike last night!

I call my hair thin but the hairdresser always firmly disagrees and tells me that it is FINE not THIN a distinction apparently lost on me. I just need something new it's been going in a ponytail daily and that's looking rather frumpy.

sorry about the sick kiddos That is NO fun. We have been good since Thanksgiving so I'm crossing my fingers. Everyone I know seems to be hit with a stomach bug and if it hits daycare we'll be done for. So we'll see!

I have had a terrible stiff neck lately and I don't have a clue what to do about it. I think I need a new pillow ? I don't know but it's driving me crazy....

Mary - Natalie's dresser is so heavy that it's not likely that she can move it on her own, so it doesn't worry me. Her toy shelf with bins is quite light so she could just get out from under it.

Good to hear baby is doing lots of moving.

Katie - I am not sure what length you want to go, I have really straight fine hair and a pixie cut looks really cute, but it can be a quite a bit of maintenance some days.

Jen - Glad to hear Owen is feeling better hope Sam's tummy settles soon.

    *AFM*

Work was stress free yesterday, which was nice for a change. My mom/boss would like me to start full time in the fall but there are issues with that, in the company not personally, I'll have to talk to her about it.

Got my tree un-decorated, yeah it's late, now DH just has to box it up and put it away.

Natalie used her gift card from grandpa at Walmart and got a Batman wall track for her cars, we are going to clean her room today so that DH can put it up when he gets home tonight.

Mary - Raymond actually did pull his dresser down on himself when he was 2 1/2. Thankfully he was fine, just really scared. Definitely secure them or move them. It's not worth the risk.

Virginia - That's SO scary. Glad it turned out okay for him.

Amanda - Don't feel too bad. We still have our stocking hung over the fireplace and some decorations on the mantle to put away. Other than the tree, those are the only decorations we put out this year. Hah! Oh, and just a few in the kitchen also.

Katie - I think that means your actual hairs are maybe "thin", but you have plenty of them. So you don't have a bunch of scalp showing in between hairs, hahaha. Just a guess. I hate my hair. People think my hair is thick because it's poofy and bushy, but it's actually thin and weird semi-wavy/curly (except I always dry it straight nowadays).

Jen - I hope little Sam is feeling better. We've had too many sick kids on this board lately.

AFM - Depressed in general today. Some of you saw my fb post, but I was reading about kids with food allergies being bullied in school by kids who throw those foods at them! So of course, that got me into a sad mood. I'm already sad that Sean won't be able to enjoy good foods and will have to closely watch what he eats... I don't want people to be mean to him about it also. Then I read about a girl who was told to cover up while BFing her baby in a sheriff's department building near here (wtf). That just got me angry. Then I read about a dad in the county where we're planning to move who killed his 5-yr-old son, then killed himself. OMG. I refuse to read anymore today unless it's fiction.
