Mary - That is generally why I don't watch or listen to the news I only hear/see what people share with me.

    *AFM*

I had a nice easy day in the office really nothing too exciting there.

The teachers in my province have been doing rotating strikes, different cities striking at different times, that doesn't seem to be working for them so a full provincial strike is happening Friday, Dana won't be in school because of it. The union/teachers aren't getting much sympathy from the public on the matter cause the strike is a royal PITA for the parents of younger students. Natalie is in private school at the moment, only way to do educational preschool, so no worries there.

Hey everyone. Dane has been doing a lot better since yesterday and Brekke seems to be doing better today. Our air is a lot better today because a storm is working it's way in so I think that helps (we get bad air quality here in the winter sometimes...fun of living in a valley). Unfortunately, my body finally gave in and picked up some of their cold. It's mostly a head cold for me so at least I didn't get the fever and overall horrible feeling my kids seemed to have. But after my workout on Tuesday, my lungs were really hurting so I decided I better take a few days off. On another note, my central vac has been broken for a week and a half and not having another vacuum, my floors are really killing me. I bought my mom a new vacuum for Xmas and am thinking of asking to borrow it although I hate to do that! Hopefully they can get it working soon...

Ashley - Glad to hear the kids are feeling better, sorry to hear you got it. That sucks about the vacuum, that's one pro to having mostly hardwood very little vacuuming needing done.

I've been struck with baby fever again, between my friend posting pictures of her 1 month old and one of the people from my birth board giving birth 2 days ago it's bad. Did I mention I am close to O time too? That never helps. Virginia's mention of her dream didn't help either. :P

OMG - I just had to jump in and post this because I'm so happy that I'm in tears! I got the results of Sean's allergy testing and he has been cleared to eat/drink all forms of cow's milk/dairy!! OMG, I am thrilled beyond belief!! She said he still tests highly allergic to peanut (which scares the crap out of me), but that he tests only mildly allergic to egg. She said we're still to avoid egg for the time being, that the doctor likes to see a few years of negative results in a row for egg before re-introducing it. But it gives me hope for the future that he'll someday be able to have eggs as well. For the time being, I am just happy beyond belief to have the milk back!

ETA: Can't believe I'll be 23 weeks tomorrow. Can't wait till the 24-week viability milestone. I actually have an old friend whose 24-weeker got to go home from the hospital around Thanksgiving time. I'd never wish it on anyone because it was a long, torturous run in the NICU for them all, but it's amazing to know the miracles that can be worked by modern science.

Yay on Sean being in the free and clear with dairy! Is he not gluten intolerant too? And is there a chance of that clearing up? The good thing is kids often outgrow allergies my BFF was allergic to lots of things as a kid but outgrew most of them.

How is it you are already 23 weeks?

Nope, no problems with gluten! Everyone thinks he is because the allergist F'ed up during his first allergy test and told us he was allergic to wheat and that he was okay with egg whites and yolks. We took him out for breakfast right after that and fed him eggs since she said that was okay... And he got hives around his mouth. So I called back to make sure I didn't hear her wrong, and she again said his allergy was to wheat and that eggs were okay. And I said, "Well, he just ate eggs and reacted." So she ordered the blood test. I had it done within the same week, and he tested allergic to EGGS, milk, and peanuts... NOT allergic to wheat. So we lived for about a week or two thinking we couldn't do wheat, but it was wrong.

To this day, my grandma still buys him gluten-free stuff and is convinced he can't have it, hahaha...

As for the 23 weeks thing, omg! My due date is 4 months from today! My pelvis hurts like mad already. I swear it starts earlier each time.

Nuts are avoidable in lots of recipes so I hope Sean outgrows the egg one completely. Though I don't know what we'd do with a nut allergic kid, my 13 year old LOVES peanut butter and Nat will eat nuts of all sorts. My BIL is gluten intolerant so when he comes over for dinner I am so paranoid for him, he really appreciates it though.

Just going through my pictures from the past 2 weeks, thought I'd share some pics of 3/4 of my furbabies.

Sadie & Apollo - Apollo is 7 months now and bigger than our 6 year old dog.

Mal - I took this to try and get a recent picture of his thumbs.

    Hey All!

Mary - that is AWESOME news! Hopefully the eggs pass with time too this day in age avoiding nuts is pretty routine.

Amanda - you have beautiful pets!

Ashley - Glad the kids are healing up!

Virginia - Scary on the dresser. Bah now I'm thinking we need to secure it LOL Evan has never shown any interest in his though and Rory is in a crib so safe.

Rory seemed warm to me Friday night and then yesterday he ran a high fever all day. So far today he's cool but he had ibu at 3am when he woke up fussing (and was HOT). We'll see if his temp goes back up we'll go to the doc tomorrow to check his ears. He acts totally fine when the ibu has his fever down. I just need to clean and do laundry today, exciting stuff!
