Mary - I saw your posts on FB! How exciting for Sean!!! Having a peanut allergy sucks - I'm moderately allergic and I can't buy ANY nuts because they all say "may contain traces of peanuts" on the friggin bag, even the raw ones! I need to look online and see if there's anyone that sells other nuts free of any possible peanut contamination... Plus pretty much ALL candy has the "manufactured in a facility that also processes peanuts" or the contains traces warning, so no candy. Boo. The only candies that don't are non-chocolate candy (and why bother?) and Rolo's and Junior Mints (which I could care less about) and Hershey chocolate (minus the ones w/ nuts, obviously). I don't get that since they make candy with nuts, but I figure they're big enough that they must have a completely separate factory for all their regular chocolate candy and do all the stuff w/ nuts in a different one. I'm rambling, I just hate that when I want chocolate I'm so limited. Same with prepackaged desserts. Basically I need to make anything I want to eat. hahaha

Katie - I hope Rory is okay! Have fun with laundry.

    Amanda - cute pictures!

Ash - sorry you caught the sickness. I hope it passes quickly.

Virginia - how scary about the dresser incident. My brother did that as a toddler. We haven't secured Xander's dresser, but he shows no interest and doesn't generally climb stuff... Though I probably should do it anyway just in case.

AFM - Benjamin finally pooped on his own this morning. We got him to go on Monday w/ a suppository and it took him six days to finally go on his own! It was a TON, though. I guess this is just his normal. No multiple tiny poops for my newborn, no he saves it all up for a week and then destroys two diapers in a row! LOL! I know that's normal with older infants, but they're "supposed" to go 3-4 times a day for the first month. Oh well, he went and there is no blockage or anything that the dr could find, so I guess he is just how he is!

Things are going good here. I've finally been able to do stuff in the last week. I can't believe it took me a little over two weeks to recover from childbirth! I was up and about almost immediately with Xander, but this delivery just killed me! But I lost a ton of blood (was ghost white for a week after and almost passed out multiple times during labor from blood loss) and I was just sore for the longest time after he was born. Probably because of how fast everything went down... Everyone thinks it's so great that I had a fast delivery, but honestly it kind of screws you over. there's no time for your body to naturally stretch and stuff, so a lot of damage is done. Rambling again. haha. I'm just happy I finally feel normal and can do something as simple as cook dinner without feeling like I need to sit down halfway through!

Okay, gotta put Xander down for nap!

Enjoy Life has completely nut free chocolate but it's also dairy free (so not milk chocolate). They are one of the only chocolates in the US that is completely nut/allergen free. I believe Mars has a totally nut free facility in Canada but only sells the product from it in Canada so some US people stock up if they go over the border. I am glad we don't have allergies here, it has to be hard. A gal at work's daughter is SUPER allergic to peanuts to the point where if they got to the movies she has to wipe down the seats and arm rests b/c if the person who sat there prior had peanuts her daughter could react. Scary.

Lauren glad you're feeling better! I ached and generally had a harder time recovering from Rory. I think in my case off the bat I did a bunch and it was a bad idea.

Rory just gave me the more sign and high tailed it to the kitchen guess he wants food....

Lauren - Your delivery with Benjamin sounds like mine with Sean. It wasn't fast for me, but I did lose a ton of blood and kept almost passing out. In my post-partum pictures with him, my lips were a lovely shade of blue/purple. And it took me a solid 2 weeks to feel like I could do some normal activities again. With Calvin, I was up walking laps around the hospital floor the next day, haha. I felt FINE after Calvin. Not much blood loss, not much work to push him out, and no tearing. I can only hope it goes that great this time.

As for chocolate, I mostly have given up on giving Sean chocolate. It's really hard to find chocolate that hasn't been laced with peanuts. And well, until Friday, he couldn't have milk either... So I remember buying a bar of straight dark chocolate one time, thinking we could make smores with it. LOL... Only if we added about a pound of sugar to it. It was SO bitter. And I generally like dark chocolate, but whew. It was STRONG.

Katie - How is Rory feeling? I guess it's good that he wants food!

Amanda - Cute pics of the pets!

AFM - I gave Sean a few cheddar goldfish a bit ago. It's something we haven't had in the house since he was a toddler, haha. It just seemed like one of those stereotypical little kid snacks that he hadn't been allowed to eat. He loved them of course, and Calvin did also.

I have my OB appointment tomorrow. I'm hoping it will be an uneventful one (please!!). I assume the next appointment after tomorrow will be my glucose tolerance test.

Katie - Hope Rory is doing better.

The nut free Mars Bars are awesome, especially at halloween, I always try to hand out at least one nut free thing and if Mars Bars don't get handed out they definately don't last long around me, that's my kryptonite when it comes to junk food.

Lauren - Yay for poop! and a healthy baby.

Each pregnancy seems to be different even recovery time, mine were both fast but with Dana I healed way faster, likely cause I wasn't sick. The tiredness could also be from having to care for a 3 year old and a newborn.

Mary - My kids love the goldfish, Zehrs (a big grocery chain here) has a store brand that makes them in penguin shapes too so it's nice to give the kids different shapes.

    *AFM*

It's late here so I will post an update some time tomorrow.

I should buy stock in Annie's because my kids eat Annie Cheddar Bunnies (like cheddar fish) like other kids drink water. We have actually started limiting how much Evan can have b/c he'd eat them all day starting at breakfast and ending before bed. So he can have 1 bowl a day after lunch LOL

Rory's fever got crazy high last night - ibuprofen didn't seem to touch it we did a cool bath and it was still 103 when I put him to bed he woke up around midnight (I think) and I gave him tylenol and slept on the floor in his room for a bit. This morning he woke up cool. Now I'm not sure what to do. I took today off (I had Thurs and Fri off so I just swapped Thurs to today) and I was planning to take him to the doctor. But if his fever doesn't go back up I'm thinking maybe it just broke last night and what's the point? I'd rather NOT bring him to a disease infested office if I can avoid it and he's acting perfectly normal this morning. I'll give it more time but if the fever doesn't come back in a few hours there's no way the tylenol is still working. I'll give it time though to be sure b/c yesterday he seemed cool first thing then got hot again. He's acting very normal though so I'm hoping maybe he's fine now.

Bah so goes my plans for a haircut and a little me time Thurs morning. Such is life I suppose! No big deal I'd rather be home with Roars today and be sure he's ok. Ponytails it is.

Mary I hope you have nice normal BP today!

Katie - I hope Rory's fever stays away and he keeps acting okay!

AFM - Appointment was good today. Very quick in and out. I was back on the road headed home by 9:03 (after a 9am appointment), lol. My BP was good, thankfully. I'm sick of hearing about my BP. Maybe with this BP med I can fly in under the radar and avoid all that crap from last time... The extra monitoring, time spent in hospital, threats of early induction, etc. I'd love to make it to 40 weeks this time. Next appointment is my glucose tolerance test.

Mary: glad the appointment was uneventful and your BP looked good!

Katie: Dane had a fever with this sickness that got really bad for one day & then went away. I hope Rory's does the same because I agree with trying to avoid the dr's office this time of year! Dane has to go in for his 18 month appt next month (he'll be 19 months but we're a little off schedule) and I scheduled it while DD was at preschool just so I have one less kid being exposed. Ugh. Anyway, lots of healthy vibes for your little guy!

Lauren: glad you are starting to feel recovered! And woohoo Benjamin for finally pooping! I guess you'll know to bring extra clothes with you if he hasn't pooped in a while because the volume might overrun a diaper!

Gender u/s is this week! If DH suddenly said, "Let's wait" I'd still do it in a heartbeat, but since that is NOT going to happen, I'm getting excited about finding out if this little wiggler is a boy or girl! I already knew by now with the other two, but at least I got a few extra weeks of suspense! Everyone is expecting a boy so we'll see... Anyway, it's not until Thursday. And I'm strangely nervous about good results with everything else. Crossing fingers!! DH is OOT for a few days so I foresee a very lazy day today...maybe we'll go to the Aquarium. It's like 3 degrees outside right now though and I do NOT venture out in that!!

Ashley - Can't wait to find out what you've got in there!

Katie - The girls have had Annie's bunnies also they like them, but they are only available at Walmart here and we don't shop there often.

If Rory has in infection that sort of fever is normal, Nat got hit with something like that when she had an ear infection and bronchtis. I hope it's nothing but I'd definately get it checked out if it presists.

Hope you find some time for a hair cut, I'm due for a trim, the down side to short hair.

Mary - Glad the appointment went well.

Ashley - Can't wait to hear what your LO is, guess you are prepared for either having had both already.

    *AFM*

    Had a pretty quiet weekend.

Been training Apollo on the treadmill, he's got so much energy that our quick walks in the winter aren't enough. He's doing really well.

I went through some paperwork that Nat's school sent home a while ago, it stated that they haden't been following the provincial standards when it came to maintaining the building,it's an old building so there is a lot of work to be done. They are being forced to fix any issues by February or the province will shut them down. The teachers are great and very professioinal but the management is awful. Care for a child in Ontario is incredibly difficult to find. This whole situation makes me glad Natalie wil be going into public school in the fall, but I'm concerned about what I will do if they do close down for February to September.

Natalie is really excelling in everything she's given, reading, writing, numeration, addition, pattern recognition, swimming, skating... the kid just amazes me.

Though it's not having a huge impact on me, the public school and the gouvernment can't come to an agreement on some matters so there are rotating strikes going on. I really wish they would sort stuff out.

Dana's teacher does bother me a bit she seems lazy by what I am hearing, not giving Dana lessons for assigned projects/reports, playing games at the end of the day instead of giving the students time to do work and leaving them with a ton to do in the evenings. Dana isn't always truthful (what teen is?) but I think with this stuff she is.

That said Dana still isn't struggling, she's smart enough to figure out what needs to be done and does it, we've given some help where needed.

I'm just playing catch-up at work with the stuff I had put aside while more urgent stuff was done earlier in the month, making great progress.

At home I need to really get stuff cleaned up, I haven't truly caught up since the Christmas holidays.

Glad the BP was good, Mary.
    GL with the u/s, Ashley.
    Glad you're feeling better, Lauren

AFM - AF showed up. It's been weird, though. I almost certain it was a CP after a few faint positives and having every symptoms I usually get. And AF came with terrible cramps. I usually have almost no cramps.
DH and I talked a lot and if another 2 cycles go by without me getting pregnant I'm going to talk to the mw about trying to figure out what's going on.
