July Chat Thread

Hey, I actually remembered to start a new thread rather than posting on the old one for the first 3 days of the month, hahaha. Happy July, everyone!

To answer Karen's question from the June thread... We had Sean's birthday party yesterday (how is my baby 3 years old?). Friday evening, we had a terrible storm and lost power until Saturday night at 10pm. Thankfully, we were at my parents' house for Sean's party most of Saturday and they actually got their power back in the morning, shortly before we arrived. Anyway, we made the best of it and he had a good time. Got a ton of toys, lol... I need a second house for all these toys. Today we went to the IL's for a 4th of July party and got caught in another really bad storm during the drive home. I was getting a bit freaked out, but the little ones slept through it, hahah.. I fully expected to come home to another power outage, but thankfully, we still have power. Smile

Happy Birthday, Sean!

Karen - good to hear from you.

AFM: Just popping in during a rare free moment. This week is crazy, but fun crazy. I updated my chart. No strong feeling whether I'll get that BFP or not. Maybe leaning towards not. It's interesting timing because tomorrow my sister has her follow-up with her Ob (after the ectopic) and will be asking the loaded question "will I be able to have a baby". eek. Also, Raymond got bitten by a deer tick, so now we're in the wait to see if he got lyme disease. We're in a very high lyme area, but weren't in a place where there should have been many ticks. I'm so glad I checked. Hopefully I got it off early enough. (I got bitten, too, but almost definitely got it early enough). I guess it's supposed to be a really bad year for ticks. ugh.

Yeah sorry about the June post. I couldn't remember what I was asking long enough to move over here Smile

I'm glad Sean still had a good party. We were without electric from 4pm Friday- 5pm Sunday. It did come on for a few hours during the night Friday so the food in the fridge/ freezer got cold again. That wind was the closest I ever want to get to a tornado. It was scary. Thankfully James got home from work when he did because me and the boys were in the pool and the storm gave very little warning!

Sorry so many of you lost power!! Is it as hot by you as it is here?!

Mary - glad Sean had a good birthday weekend! Ugh, the toys. THE TOYS! I loved the picture on FB of Sean with his cake and then you see little Cal's hand sneaking in there. lol

Virginia - oh my! Sorry about the ticks! Yeah, I heard it was going to be a really bad year for them, too... Hopefully Raymond is okay!

Karen - sounds scary!

AFM - Hello second trimester!! Wahoo! I finally gained a pound. haha. Funny how I gained it on the first day of the second trimester (yesterday). Guess I made it through the entire first tri with no weight gain! Not too much going on. It's still SO hot with no end in sight. Ugh, worse summer ever to be pregnant!!

After the big black out in 2001, Ontario really doesn't get power outtages for more than a day, some small areas do but for the most part we are only out for a couple of hours.

We are melting here in Ontario, missed the Canada Day fireworks yesterday at Canada's Wonderland cause we had to get Natalie home, the heat just total wore her out making for one cranky 3 year old. Thankfully today is cooler, or at least it seems much cooler, and Natalie is back to her normal self.

Virginia - Have you gotten any predictions from Raymond on if you are pregnant? He seems to like guessing those things. Sorry to hear about the tick, hope it's nothing, makes me glad where I live doesn't have too many biting/stinging bugs. ICK!

Lauren - Congrats on 2nd trimester! How are you feeling? (other than hot)

*AFM*

Been busy here.

Friday I went with my grandma to the hospital, she's getting a bunch of tests done, I'm hoping for the best but expecting the worst. That night Dana went off to Vancouver with my mom (her grandma).

Saturday we went to a check out promanade, it's a street festival that is held here every year on Canada Day long weekend. Learned about some new local stores and attractions, so that was nice. Then went to DH's grandma's birthday at his uncles house, I love visiting his grandma she is so appreciative of such little things.

Sunday (Canada Day) we took it easy in the morning and then headed to Canada's Wonderland, I would be lying if I said it was a good day, definitely had it's good moments, but Nat was miserable for the most part, probably cause of the heat, we headed home early and missed the fireworks. Once home DH and I got Nat in bed and just had a relaxing night.

Today we got off work because of the holiday landing on a Sunday, we went back to Promonade to check out some of the shops from Saturday, and have mostly just taken things easy. At home Nat and I played in the back yard she climbed the rock and was so proud of herself.

I'm a bit on the tired side, probably cause of all the walking around, but the extra long weekend has been mostly fun.

Amanda - sounds like a fun weekend! No predictions from Raymond yet.

AFM: I did a ton of research about ticks today. Good news is Raymond probably only has a 15% chance of Lyme disease and it's usually easily treated. We're supposed to watch him and bring him in at the first sign of any illness. Bad news is I think I have a 15% chance, too. Just what I need when I might be pregnant. ick.

Virginia - sorry about the tick! What's scary is that deer tick nymphs are actually responsible for the majority of lyme cases and they are typically missed b/c they are the size of a poppy seed. I try hard not to be too paranoid b/c you can't put your kids in a bubble and I live in a high tick/lyme area (I mean deer walk through our yard) but it does occasionally freak me out. An adult removed quickly would worry me less than finding a nymph! And GL on the 2 WW! When will you test? Not that I'm excited for you or anything!!

Mary - I can't believe Sean is 3! WILD! When did he get so big?! Glad you got through the storms!

Lauren - you are amazing! I gain weight breathing when I'm pregnant! Sorry the weather is so HOT!

Amanda - Hope you enjoyed Canada Day!

Weird night last night. I thought Rory was off all day. DH definitely thought I was being paranoid or something. Then at bed time poor Rory threw up (all over our bed....twice, ugh). He finally went to sleep, draped across me (so I went to bed too) and ate a bunch in th enight with no issue. But was totally restless. Poor monkey. Finally got my bonus at work! WOOOOT! My VP did grab me and ask me if I'd be willing to consider coming back full time. I haven't discussed it with DH but I told him if the opportunity was right I'd think about it. I'm torn. It's a good chunk of change and I think I'm in a position to negotiate a bit - get a raise, get a day of work a week from home (kids would still need to be out of the house but it would be more flexible), I'd probably also buy vacation (we get 3 weeks, we can buy 2 more weeks). It would be a good time to set myself up. But it would give up my 2 days a week home. We'll see maybe the opportunity won't even surface. That being said this is only a 2 day week for me, WOOHOO

pico83 (not verified)

Katie - I'll be testing Saturday. I won't get a chance until then.
odds are these were nymphs (it nymph season, not adult season). They were a little larger than poppy seeds, but I think that's because they had eaten. Ewww. The other odd thing is my bite has a small local allergic reaction which means I've been bitten before and never noticed. That's creepy.
But, yeah... the odds of lyme with a found deer tick nymph is apparently 15%, since only 20% are infected and some are found before they transmit. I'm hoping we're both lucky.

Katie - you may gain easily during pregnancy, but you always lost your weight super fast! Mine hung around until I weaned, so I had 14 months of extra weight I had to carry... So I'd rather gain less this time around. heh. What a great opportunity at work! GL thinking it through with DH.

Virginia - Sunday already? I can't believe it's almost been 2 weeks! So are you supposed to go see a doctor after x number of days to get tested for lyme disease?

Amanda - Xander is a huge crank when he gets overheated too. Sorry you guys missed the fireworks. At least you got some time off, sounds like you guys had a good time (for the most part).

AFM - I'm feeling good. I was super duper exhausted last week, but that has since gone away. Now just normal pregnancy exhaustion. haha. I can't wait to not feel drained all day! But I guess I still have a ways to go... Anyway, so I'm 90% sure I felt the baby moving last night! It definitely wasn't gas or something. Not much longer til I feel it regularly!

pico83 (not verified)

yay for movement!
Tsting for Lyme isn't accurate until after a month of infection. With Raymond we're watching for any sign of it. With me... if I'm pregnant I'm calling my doc right away to figure out a plan. But, honestly, Lyme doesn't worry me too much anymore. I can be easily treated during pregnancy and isn't known to have negative effects on baby if treated early (while a local infection). It's the other tick-borne illnesses which could be bad. I'm pretty sure with Anaplasmosis (Ehrlichiosis) the only effective drugs are teratogens. And Babesiosis involves high fevers. Not good. Luckily, they are rarer than Lyme. I'm trying not to get too stressed about it, but it's not working very well.

My mom runs the company I work for and my grandparents also "work" for her, my mom is also a Girl Guide (Scout) leader so she often has people coming by and dropping stuff off. Apparently one of the parents came by with a cheque for cookies a month ago and my grandmother took it, it's been sitting on her desk since then, I found it today when doing some work while my grandma is away.

It has been approximately 6 months since I weaned and I still leak milk constantly. I'm starting to think it will not ever stop.

Virginia - that chart sure looks lovely! Any urge to test earlier? Maybe? Smile

Mary - I can't believe Sean is 3! The parties looked like lots of fun!

Hi Amanda, Molly and Sandra!

AFM I now have 2 mobile boys and it's chaos Smile In a fun way. Rory started pulling up on the 4th and is obsessed now. It's great except that he falls ALL the time b/c he's trying to get toys or reach for Evan or Evan just bumps him (or pushes him over). Rory is a total dare devil. I thought Evan was brave but Rory better have a tough noggin! He's so much fun now though. His first 6-7 months weren't easy but he's such a riot now!

Molly - LOL, good in that they work well, but not good in appearance. After making milk for two babies, they're totally saggy and stretch-marked and gross, hahahah.

Katie - Yay for 2 mobile boys! The fun is just beginning!! Smile Calvin is a little dare-devil too (and I always thought Sean was worse). But when we got Sean his little bike for his birthday, he was scared to get on it.. Who was the first one on it? CALVIN! LOL... And he kept crying to get up on it and have us push him around on it. It was hilarious. Wink

Virginia - Test yet?!?! I'm waiting (im)patiently. Wink

AFM - I'm not feeling so badly about my 6-month boob leaking now... A girl on my March board has a friend who leaked for FIVE YEARS after weaning (shoot me if that happens to me). She said she had some issue with her pituitary gland though, so hopefully I don't have that issue, hahaha.

And... It hit 100 degrees here today (again) and tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter (103-106).

And... DH brought me a glass of wine and Calvin is having a tantrum because I won't let him drink it... We're not far from the Terrible 2's again, methinks, hahaha.

I'm here, I'm alive, barely, had my Botox today for my Dystonia doctor was trying to get optimal coverage and nicked a nerve so I'm now in some pain, a good nights sleep should help, though how I am going to do that in pain is going to be a challenge. Gonna take Advil, Tylenol and my muscle relaxants together and hope for the best, and yes it is safe, I checked with my pharmacist and have done it several times, so you don't have to worry Mary.

Mary - sorry about the leakage. I never leaked after weaning and heck, I barely leaked while nursing. Even in the beginning. But then again I had a crap milk supply and barely scraped by those 14 months! lol.

Amanda - sorry about the pain! I hope you feel better after a good night of sleep.

Katie - oh that is fun, but chaotic I'm sure. haha. Xander was never ever a daredevil. Just NOW is he starting to be one (which resulted in a nice tumble off the couch the other day, sigh). I'm curious to see how kiddo #2 is! Will he/she be similar or be the complete opposite?

AFM - just got done with a crazy weekend of lots of visitors! The in-laws were here from Wed-Fri and my parents were here Sat-Sun. I'm exhausted!! I ate an insane amount of food this weekend and yet I still haven't gained any weight! Man! This baby is just sucking everything up, I guess! I gained a lot easier with Xander! I'm not complaining or anything, and I'm certainly not worried this early on. At what point should I get worried about weight gain? I'm 15 weeks and as of today have gained 1/2 lb. But then some days it's 0 lbs or 1 lb or -1lb. It just varies a little bit every day... So I just say I haven't gained at this point. I'm not overweight, but I'm not skinny either, so I'm not really sure when it would become an issue. I can't imagine it is at this point... But if I still haven't gained anything at like 18 weeks should I be worried? Well I see my doctor in 2 1/2 weeks anyway, so if I still haven't gained anything I can ask her then. But I'm sure my body will go crazy and make up for it well before then. haha.

Just called the MW. I have to go in next week for paper work or something then my first appointment is Aug 6th (8w). I'm waiting for a call back to discuss m/s treatment. Hopefully they won't argue with me.

meanwhile, I can't stop looking at today's test which looks the same as yesterday's. (but, hello, your pee was way lighter because you were up something like 4 times last night! And you temp is up again and you're exhausted and you keep having little waves of nausea... stop worrying!)

Lauren - With Dana I had such bad "morning" sickness I didn't gain early on, made up for it in the last bit, by eating a ton between sick sessions, left me with nasty stretch marks. I think every woman gains differently and every pregnancy is different so try not to worry. Especially if you are still taking care of yourself and eating a healthy diet.

Virginia - Yay for a midwife appointment, I am sure everything is fine you seem to be great at making babies.

*AFM*

I am still sore from the injections but doing a bit better in that aspect. I do have a cold sitting in the throat, seems if it's not one thing bothering me it's another.

Other then being sore the weekend was good, Saturday we went to Ribfest and had some yummy ribs everyone enjoyed the food, Sunday we picked up some things at the hardware store for the house and then took Natalie to the splash pad downtown for a bit she had lots of fun running around in the water.

Today was back to the grind at work, boring so I can count that as good.

pico83 (not verified)

Amanda - I'm glad you're starting to feel better

AFM: the symptoms are definitely hitting earlier this time! ick. I'm still not super nauseous or anything, but I have had to resort to small doses of zofran to eat meals. m/s didn't start until 6w with the first two and 5-6w with Oliver. I did end up getting a FRER and I've been reassured. At 15dpo it's at least as dark as my 16dpo was with Oliver. The test line is clearly darker than the control. Biggrin

Virginia - Glad you got the FRER and got a nice strong line.

*AFM*

Since I still have a bit of pain, mainly when lying down, I called my Neurologist and talked to him. Of course he gave me some of the worse situations which suck, pain for a month or possibly (but not likely) muscle atrophy. On the more positive side of things he is sending me a prescription for a physio assessment, so I can claim it on insurance, once I get the assessment I can see if alternative methods can be used to help treat my dystonia (massage, acupuncture, chiropractic...).

Virginia - Glad things are looking good on the FRER. Crazy that you've got m/s already!

Amanda - I hope your doc figures something out for you and the pain subsides soon, ughhhh...

AFM - Sean had his 3-yr appt today. Don't ask me anything about it because I was at work and DH had to take him, hahaha... He texted me his measurements as approximations. Grrr, that does not work for my baby book. He says 32 lbs and 36". I guess he refused to take his clothes off for them, LOL. He also refused to get on the scale, so they had to weigh DH holding him, then weigh DH and subtract. Gah!!!

Mary - that sounds like something Xander would do at the doctors office! He HATES that place!

Virginia - eeeewwww m/s already. So your m/w went ahead and prescribed you zofran right away, or did you have some leftover? (as Mary cringes at the thought of expired meds)

Amanda - I'm sorry you're still hurting. I hope you're able to find some new methods of treatment.

AFM - just got back from the dentist a bit ago. Xander is obsessed with the fact that I went and keeps talking about my teeth. haha. Good thing he's interested, because the dentist wants to see him when he's 3. That's not too far off! I don't think it'll go over so well... At least the first visit is a "happy visit" where they look in the mouth, but that's basically it. No cleaning, etc. Maaaaaaaaaaaybe he'll cooperate for that... If not, hopefully he can sit on my lap for appts. I think he's tolerate that. Maybe...

I really need to take pictures off my camera. I have the last three weeks worth of belly pics on there!

Mary - Sorry to hear you couldn't get the right measurements for Sean, could you do it at home? Nat loves seeing how she's grown so getting to be still for weight and height is easy, and of course home is a bit more comfortable so she co-operates.

Lauren - Good to hear Xander enjoyed your dentist trip with you. Not sure how Nat would respond, I probably won't take her until she's 4 unless we come across problems.

Can't wait to see belly pics.

pico83 (not verified)

Hopefully Mary won't cringe too much. I have some left over. I have a new prescription, too, but I still have to pick it up.

So, I'm not feeling too optimistic right now. I caved and took another IC this morning and it still looks like it did as 12dpo. I'm 16dpo. My symptoms seem milder, too. I've had almost no nausea in the past 24 hours and I'm getting by today even though I was up with Oliver form 2:30-5am. I should be completely exhausted. ugh.

ETA: after way too much time looking at test progressions, I found a little reassurance. I found one which stayed the same (looked the same color as mine, too) from 13 to 17dpo and the woman later learned she had twins (one vanished, though). So... as long as it doesn't stay the same much longer I'm probably okay. Darn wondfo. If I ever have another pregnancy I might use wondfo to find out if I'm pregnant, but I'm forking over the money for FRER to see a progression.
still a little nervous. If it's the same again tomorrow I might see if my doc can do some bloodwork.

Virginia - I hope all is well. Don't analyze those IC's too much... My IC's always took till like 18+ dpo to get obviously darker.

Lauren - I'm glad he enjoyed the dentist trip... Sean is terrified of it, ughhh... I knew he would be. He throws a fit just to get his hair cut, I knew he would NOT want anyone messing in his mouth.

AFM - Yesterday was the anniversary of Sean's febrile seizure. The night before, I was talking about it with DH and I know it's sorta silly, but I always sorta blamed myself for it. I had him outside playing in the heat, he acted exhausted before I took him outside and I should've just let him sleep, but I pushed him, etc. Sad So anyway, I was just sorta talking to DH about all that and Sean with the most PERFECT timing said in his sarcastic 3-year-old way, "Mama... WHO CARES??" LOL, omg I couldn't have planned it better myself. It was like, Well he obviously is over it (although I'm sure he never had any recollection of it) and I should be over it too, hahaha. So great. Smile

sorry, double post... my computer screwed up and posted the above twice.

ETA: I'll just make this a new post, haha... One day recently, I had a dream that I was pregnant and giving birth. I posted about it in my March group. In the dream, this baby was our 4th, but I was embarrassed because I couldn't remember its name and the only names I could remember were Sean and Calvin's. And so there was another baby's name that I couldn't remember, aside from the new one. In the dream, it was a girl (as was the new baby). Anyway, that was not the main gist of the dream, there was more to it, but one of the girls commented that perhaps the other baby girl in the dream whose name I couldn't remember was representative of my m/c baby. Wow! It makes perfect sense... The subconscious does amazing things, I think!

Hey everyone!

Mary: dreams are crazy like that. I think the m/c thought is probably spot on as far as how your subconscious is interpreting that pregnancy. Sorry Sean's 3 year visit was a bit crazy. Brekke's is next month and I'd die of shock if she doesn't throw an out of body and refuse to cooperate. At least we're doing Dane's 1 year at the same time so the pedi can go back and forth as needed.

Virginia: m/s already? Crazy. Like everyone else has said and you already know, don't stress out about how dark the tests get. There are so many factors that can alter how dark the line gets which is why doctor's offices use blood tests not urine tests to make sure a pregnancy is progressing. Anyway, I'm still super excited for you!

Amanda: boo, I hope they get a suitable treatment figured out for your pain soon!!

Lauren: I know what you mean about dreading taking them to the dentist. Our dentist is a relative that DD sort of knows but I doubt she'll be too excited to let someone look in her mouth.

AFM: Life has been crazy crazy since Dane started walking about a month ago and since they are still on opposite nap schedules, I'm always chasing someone around the house and never seem to have enough time to get anything done. On the positive side, they are just *starting* to play together a bit without me having to sit right there so eventually I guess I'll be able to keep my laundry caught up and my house somewhat clean again! Wink I stopped taking BCPs at the end of May and finally got a "real" AF at the beginning of this month. I wouldn't say we're TTC but not preventing either. We're talking about doing a 100 mile bike ride in September so I doubt we'll put any effort into TTC until after that although we'd like the next (aka: the LAST) one to be around that 2 year spacing as well so if I happen to get pg before then, that's fine too. On a side note, Dane's 1st b-day is in a week...seriously can't believe how fast that year went!

pico83 (not verified)

good luck with the opposing nap schedule. That's tough. I don't mind too much since I have an older one and it means I spend most of the day only chasing 2 around, but when you have 2 it makes it so much more exhausting. And good luck TTC! I hope it happens when you want it to.

AFM: still puzzled. I was super crampy yesterday afternoon and was convinced I was going to lost this one. But today not a sign of craps so far, temp went back up, cervix is still super closed, and when I took an OPK it was blazing +. Through yesterday I had only gotten almost + or barely + on them. No HPTs left in the house. DH and I have a plan. If I don't have m/s at 6 weeks (since it vanished 3-4 days ago) I'm going to try to get an u/s to figure out what's going on. Until then, we're waiting and seeing. I'm okay either way, I just wish I knew.

Virginia - How are you doing now? Any updates?

Ash - Yay for 2 mobile babies! It's SO cute watching them grow and learning to play together, hahaha.. I love it! Good luck with #3!

AFM - Someone smack me HARD if I decide to sign up for anymore overtime shifts. I decided to work next weekend for OT, and now I sorta regret it. I know it'll be sweet once I get the extra money, but blah... I've been working too many OT shifts lately, and I'm usually the first one to take time off when given the opportunity, hahah. I am just motivated to try to save to get the heck out of this house.

pico83 (not verified)

well, I got a darker FRER yesterday, so that's good. And over the weekend I suddenly started crying at the drop of a hat. I have definitely not had that happen before. And I had to resort to zofran this morning. All good. Except that my darn insurance only wants to cover a miniscule amount each month. Hopefully I'll be able to work something out because I can not go without it again.

Here are the lines:

I have two more. I plan to take one tomorrow (5w) and maybe the other a couple days later if I feel like it. One of my other friends on here posted a pic a while ago of a 5w2d FRER complete with her (high) beta number for the day... I kind of want to compare since I run high, too. Smile

Virginia - Glad you're getting some reassurance! Hopefully everything will be smooth sailing for the next 225-ish days (per your ticker!)

AFM - Nothing too exciting here... I turn 29 on Thursday (ugh!), hahaha... Birthdays really aren't exciting once you're past the early-to-mid 20's, hahaha. Now I'm just like, OMG, this time next year I'll officially be in my 30's! Time for a mid-life crisis or menopause or something...

Virginia - congrats on the BFP! that FRER looks awesome!

Mary - I'm in the "i dont give a crap about birthdays" club as well. I just tell DH to gimme the money and i buy what i really want Wink

AFM:

Not much here. Kinda wanting another baby now, but its not good timing. I'd rather be back in Nebraska before we start trying for another, so its probably going to be 1.5 - 2 years before we try. Ah well. My desire to be near family for the next baby is higher than my urge to have a baby NOW. Plus the 2 years will give me time to lose weight, get my thyroid on track, and start paying off our debt.

Sandra - sorry you have to wait

Mary - I think your "mid-life crisis" should involve having another baby. Wink I have 29 coming up this year, too.

AFM: darker FRER again. This has been weird. my first few tests were way darker than I expected, then it plateaued, and now they're getting darker again. I wonder if I started out with twins or something. I'll probably never know.

Stop whining about being 29! I'm turning 31 on Sunday!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wink (j/k, whine away - I know I did at 29)

Virginia - glad the tests are getting nice and dark for you.

Sandra - GL getting your body in order before TTC'ing in a few years!

Mary - sorry about all the extra shifts, but yay extra money!

Ash - wow JLIH!? I still can't believe Dane is already so old! Time flies!

AFM - I threw my back out a few days ago, so I'm going to the chiropractor tomorrow. I guess I can't carry Xander around for an hour or more at a time anymore, eh? I carried him way too long on Saturday and that's what did it. It's definitely not muscular. I wish I could've gotten in earlier, but DH has the car and has appts, so I couldn't make it til tomorrow. Argh! The pain is making me super cranky, as if the heat weren't doing that already. haha. I want to be the nice fun mom I always was! Not this hormonal pregnant cranky thing!

Lauren - Sorry about your back. I hope it feels better soon! I forget... Are you going team green this time? I didn't realize you were 16+ weeks already... Time flies!

Sandra - I know how you feel... I got pregnant when we were living in IL and immediately started looking for houses closer to home. I just want my babies to have some family nearby. We're still not super-close, about 1.5-2 hours from our families, but we're hoping to move next year to a location about 35-45 minutes away from both families. It might make things a bit easier that way (at least we hope so). Actually, our TTC this time is sorta on hold because of the plans for moving. DH wants to TTC Jan 1, but honestly I think it would be better just to do it now or wait a long time, like years (which I don't prefer since we're not getting any younger).

Virginia - Glad the FRER's are getting darker!! Can't wait to start seeing some u/s's and such.

AFM - I've got the day off tomorrow, so we'll probably celebrate my birthday. I picked out a cake to make that doesn't have milk/eggs/nuts in it so Sean can have some. It's lemon cake with lemon icing, so it should be summery tasting also, yum. Now to see if DH will make it or if I'll end up making it myself, hahahah. Wink I ordered some new shoes from zappos which should be here today... Happy birthday to me!

Oh goodness... DH just walked by and told me we have a problem in the basement. I asked him if it was leaking and he said no, then I asked if it was worse and he just grunted and wouldn't tell me. I'm afraid I don't want to know. Sad

Sandra - I couldn't imagine being away from family while taking care of a LO, I think your plan sounds good.

Virginia - Maybe it's a weird pregnancy cause it's a girl. Still sending you pink vibes.

Lauren - Hope you are feeling better soon.

Mary - Hope your birthday is lots of fun and that you can get DH to make the cake. I'd make you a cake (I love baking) but it wouldn't ship to Ohio well. ROFL

*AFM*

Lots if July birthdays on here, I am 33 on the 27th, yup you are all just young pups Blum 3 My family always has a party in July we celebrate all the July birthdays together. My aunt hosted on the 14th it was lots of fun.

Just home today trying to tidy up after the hurricane (Natalie) that hit my living room, who'd have thought a 3 year old could be so messy? Gotta run make sure this gets done.

Amanda - I hear ya on the messy kids. DH's parents came to visit this past Saturday. I had to work that day until 4pm, so he cleaned up in the morning while I was at work. The house looked great when I got home... And it was a disaster again within like 1-2 days.

AFM - DH did bake my cake, hahaha. He made it last night while I was at work. When I got home last night, Sean was yelling, "Mama, we made you birthday cake! But I don't know where's the sprinkles..." LOL... I told him it was fine without sprinkles, hahah... He's funny. He's got a fever today, grr. Well, he felt pretty warm last night before bed, then DH got up in the middle of the night and gave him medicine because he felt hot. This morning, I got 100.1 using the temporal thermometer, which translates to more like 101.1 using an oral thermometer. I assume Calvin had a bug when he had a fever a few days back, and Sean has it now. Calvin never really did show any real obvious signs of illness, but Sean sounds like he might have some sinus congestion. I hope his turns out really mild like Calvin's did. Of course I hate it when they have fevers after watching Sean have a seizure last year.

ugh, you ladies are making me even more nervous about likely moving 10 hours away from family. Sad I really don't want to do it but DH thinks it'll be best for his career. At least there's a decent chance it would only be for a few years.

No idea when I'll end up having an u/s. I have a final FRER progression I'm posting over on DYSAL.

Virginia - When are you thinking about moving 10 hours away? That would be difficult, especially with all the LO's. Best of luck... Hopefully it'll be relatively short-term, like you said. Blaaaah...

AFM - Happy birthday to me, hahaha... Nothing too exciting today. I have to work tonight, yippee..

Oh, Happy Birthday, Mary! Are the kids feeling better? I hope you and DH don't catch it.

We'd likely move next summer. Crazy, huh?

Happy Birthday Mary! That's cute that Sean wanted sprinkles for your cake. Stinks you have to work on your bday.

Virginia- That does sound crazy. It'd be hard to be away from your family, but at the same time trying to support DH.

Happy Birthday Mary!!!! You're a year behind me since I'm already 30 (30 and 1/2 if we're being technical).

Virginia - moving in general with 4 kids would make me a little crazy! But I was pretty obsessed with having our ideal house and set up before kids. I'm not a flexible sort LOL When we moved in our house I told DH that the kids could take me out feet first! Unless we win the lottery I think that will likely be the case but neither of us need to move for our careers, thankfully. Hope you're feeling well!

Ashley - I can't believe you're TTC (or TOC) again! WOOT! Man Dane is one adorable little boy! I love your FB pics Smile

Hi Molly! Hi Sandra! Hi Amanda! Hi Lauren! Am I missing anyone? I'm on vacation I'm behind Smile tomorrow is our last full day at the cape Sad Booooo vacation goes SO fast! We have had a WONDERFUL week. The weather has been fantastic, we can easily walk right over to the beach, the boys are having a ball. Evan loves playing as the tide goes out (bay side beaches if you're at all familiar with Cape Cod), Rory likes the beach (though I have to be sure he isn't eating fists of sand). The house we're renting is nice, clean, convenient. Nothing dramatic has happened at work. THe dogs have behaved so far for the sitter at our house. It's a little chaotic being on vaca with 2 kids - trying to be sure no one is too cranky to eat out, or avoiding a fit at a public place (my iPhone has used the Disney App a few too many times, I try to avoid it but sometimes it just works!). Now I want to plan a January vacation....I think I need a week of vacation twice a year away from home Smile

Mary - Happy birthday!!! I forgot to say it on facebook so i'll say it here!

Virginia - Out of personal experience, I dont recommend leaving. I thought it was what i wanted, but once Andrew came and I was alone when Rob deployed, I really regretted it. We have 2 more years here and we are HOPEFULLY going to be able to go home after that - *fingers crossed*.

Katie - Glad to hear you guys are having a great time! Smile

AFM: For the first time in 19 months, my son actually kissed me back!! He's always been one of those kids who hates hugs or kisses from mom, but we have a nightly ritual that daddy puts him to bed and on his way, he brings Andrew to me to give him a kiss goodnight. This time andrew walked to me, i said "Can momma have a kiss goodnight?" - usually he turns his head away from me and i just grab him and smooch his cheek but this time he sucked his lips inward and put his face forward next to mine! It was so adorable.

He wouldnt do it for daddy either Wink

Sandra - yay for baby kisses! Oliver gives kisses sometimes, but he's still learning not to use teeth during them.

Katie - enjoy the Cape!

AFM: felt like complete crap last night. I even asked DH why the heck we thought to do this again. Our whole summer plans have been changed over the past 24 hours. My family rents out a waterfront house and it has an open week coming up, so I've been scrambling to reschedule things and hopefully get help with the kids so we can spend an extra week there. Smile So I had to reschedule the kids' swimming lessons and my first appointment (earlier!). Somehow it looks like it might all work out.

yeah, moving would suck, but if we have to then we have to.

Sandra - Yay for kisses!

Virginia - Hope you are feeling better today and that your summer plans work out.

TMI!
I had some pink in my CM 2 days ago, odd thing is it was 5 days after I would normally O (sorry can't tell you when I O'd), that's not normal for me. Though I don't know what is any more, sure it's probably nothing.

My bridesmaid dress came in, so today I have my fitting so it can be tailored, can't wait to see it, my friend chose a nice deep red (Claret) should be beautiful.

Natalie's dress I was given by the bride (it was used for her sisters wedding), just have to change some ribbon to match the colour scheme of the wedding, doing that myself should be simple. I'll try to post images after I get it all done.

Sandra - woohoo for kisses! Nothing beats baby kisses. I'm lucky because Calvin has always been big into kisses. Yesterday, he plopped down on my lap (I was sitting on the floor), then he turned and leaned up to me and kissed me, then hugged me with a little grunt. MELT!! Smile

Virginia - Sounds like fun, I hope your plans work out!!

Amanda - Can't wait to see dress pics. The photographer from SIL's wedding is just getting around to revealing some of those pics... I've only seen a few, but I want to see more!

Katie - Sounds like a fun vacation, I'm jealous!!!

AFM - I posted it on the other thread, but DH and I are now planning to TTC starting November 1. I used a due date calculator to estimate when we might conceive, given that all my cycles between now and then are my average (about 26 days). It turns out that if we conceived on the first try, I'd be due in early-to-mid August, hahaha... Nothing like spending my entire third trimester in the hot summer months! Wink This is all just daydreaming for now, of course, hahaha.
