Holy cow, it's JUNE (yesterday).
Holy cow, it's JUNE (yesterday).
Ashley you're having a baby next month! That's nuts :) and awesome!
I read everything from May I'm just blanking. Mary I'm sorry about DH's gma. Always hard. Virginia GL getting a routine with the 3 LOs! Amanda glad the doc was ok
So I meant to tell my boss but by the time I got out of my meetings yesterday he was gone. Guess Monday will do. I need to go to the mall and start looking at some maternity stuff. Sigh. My work pants are starting to get tight I'm down to like 3 pairs that are comfortable. Shirts are mostly ok still.... at least for now. DH is away so maybe tomorrow I'll drag the baby to the mall b/c most of what I bought online with Evan I didn;t really like I'd rather try it on. That's all the excitement from here
Katie: I've bought almost all my maternity stuff from "discount" stores like Ross & TJ Maxx since I can't stomach spending $25+ on a shirt regularly, let alone for a few months wear & they had a lot of great stuff I could wear to work. Not to best quality, but it'll do! ITA though that you have to try it on too.
Yeah I'm having a baby next month  Crazy!! I finally finished the bedding - I'll post pics as soon as I take a few. His nursery is still inhabited by DH's old desk however so I haven't really started putting it together other than the crib, but hopefully I can get DH to do something with that this weekend. On my way to Ikea to see if I can find a new chair for DD's room - she has had the glider in there and is suddenly all about sitting in it but I don't want to buy another one so I need to find her something else. I actually found a great little "nest" chair on Target.com but it costs $30 & they want $20 to ship it  so I really am hoping to find something similar in a store (Target doesn't carry that chair in stores of course).
I'll have to check out the discount places - never even thought of it! I'm a terrible bargain hunter. We go to the outlets a few times a year and that's when I do my personal shopping of course there happens to be NO maternity store at the GIANT outlet place. I don't shop for clothing all that much which makes spending money on maternity seem that much more crap-tastic. BUT looking like a sausage stuffed in pants a 1/2 size too small is no good either LOL
Ugh I do NOT look forward to cleaning out the spare bedroom. We don't even know where to put the BED we have in there. I wish we had a 4 bedroom house. Or a winning lotto ticket to refinish the basement ;) Instead I have the most giant fence on earth
Ash - getting close!
Katie - GL making space for LO. One of the things which will pressure us to wait for #4 (or which DH will use to try to cinvince me we're done) is that the place we're renting and our car are both too small to fit a fourth kid.
AFM: Had to take Oliver to the ped today. I nicked his finger while clipping his nails last week and today it looks infected. They're just having me do topical antibiotics. Hopefully it'll clear up quickly. Poor guy. He's up to 11lbs 7.5oz, so just over 4 1/2 lbs gained in just over 5 weeks. :)
We actually do have a routine, somewhat, it just doesn't really involve computer time most days!
ETA: comment from Raymond "There are going to be one hundred babies in Mommy's tummy. No, that is tooooooo many."
Hi I'll catch up more later.
I went to return some stuff my aunt sent the girls, I returned a romper because Natalie is potty training and I don't want to deal with that and a one piece out fit, and shirt that Dana didn't like to Gymboree, they gave me a full in-store credit on the items, as an added bonus they had a sale on the entire stores stock, everything was $13.99 CDN or less. I got a $40 tutu, $40 pair of pants and a $22.50 shirt for $13.99 each!!! The nice thing is I walked out still with a store credit, thinking of going back on the weekend and seeing if there is anything left that I like, the sale is rumored to end on Sunday, no biggie if I don't see anything I can alway spend the credit another time.
Virginia: LOL to Raymond's comment. Poor Oliver :( but I love that he has put on so much weight already!
Katie: Gotta love that fence, lol! ;) We'll have some big decisions to make on bedrooms if we decide to have a 3rd because we technically have a 3 bedroom house right now - we have an unfinished basement that we'll add one more to but I doubt I'd feel comfortable putting a 3.5-4.5 year old down there by herself so who knows. Guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. GL figuring out what to do w/yours.
Amanda: :woohoo: for getting a bunch of bargins!! Even if DD doesn't need clothes, I have a hard time passing up a good deal & tend to get carried away
Decided to mop the floors before bed - I swear there aren't enough hours in the day sometimes! Sounds like we'll actually be home this weekend (first time in a month!) so I should be able to get caught up on housework and everything else I hope. Baby boy is pressing his head/hands into my cervix tonight and it is NOT comfortable to say the least
Katie - I had to laugh a bit that you still didn't tell your boss. LOL... My friend from high school is pregnant and didn't tell most people until she was 22 weeks and already knew it was a boy. Oh, and we have a Motherhood at our huge outlet mall, but it sucks. The stuff is hardly marked down. There are a couple racks of stuff that is like damaged that is pretty cheap, but I'm honestly not even sure if the rest of it is any cheaper than just going to a regular Motherhood store. So you're not missing out there!
Ash - Agreed. Definitely NOT enough hours in the day. Ugh. I'm feeling that way now especially... 8 hours of work, almost an hour commute, almost an hour to get ready to go to work. I try to sleep a few hours. The days definitely need to get longer so I can spend more time with my babies.
Virginia - Poor Oliver! I hope his little finger gets better soon. He's going to be a little chunk just like his brothers, lol. Love it!
Amanda - Awesome shopping, wooohooo!
AFM - TGIF. Just wish my weekend could be spent NOT going to a funeral. Blah. Sean's playset comes next week (Wednesday, I think). I'm excited for that. Can't believe he'll be TWO years old. OMG. They really do grow too fast.
Virginia - ya I can see that at least being a delay. Our house is definitely big enough for 3 or 4 we'll just need to finish the basement for bedrooms....but like Ashley I think we'd have to have a couple room together before we'd be comfortable w/someone being old enough to be in the basement.
Amanda - yay for good deals and store credit! LOVE THAT :)
Ashley - I hear you! When work consumes my non baby time it's hard. Though I have figured out Evan doesn't seem to mind at all if I clean he finds it fun and follows me around laughing. If I try to work (so I'm on my lap top) while he's awake it usually leads to a meltdown. Or him banging the keys, ugh.
mary - Sorry you have to go to the funeral instead of enjoying time with the boys. That's no fun at all. On many levels!
AFM - DH e-mailed me that he won an iPad at the company meeting! Awesome! He'll be home this evening. I'm trying to clean and pick up before he gets here since nap time yesterday was consumed with work. I also played fetch with the dogs. They needed to get out. We haven't chicken wired the new fence to the ground and there are some gaps b/c our property slopes so I can't leave them out in the giant new yard alone yet but playing fetch was fine. They are all much calmer now, thankfully! This weekend DH will chicken wire it and life will officially return to normal! Evan had fun running around after them playing fetch I just had to make sure he didn't get run over - my one dog is single minded when playing fetch he'd run through a brick wall. OK off to clean the family room and hopefully be done in enough time to enjoy some coffee while Evan finishes his nap!
I didn't even bother catching up on the May thread, I'm just too far behind! Better start fresh. heh.
Mary, sorry you have to go to a funeral on your weekend. :(
Katie, you're lucky you can clean! I do clean around Xander, but he usually gets cranky about it, yet when I'm not cleaning he's happy enough to ignore me.
Virginia, poor Oliver. Hope the infection clears soon!
Ashley, I don't even remember the last time I did my floors. haha. I never want to clean after Xander goes to bed and we keep leaving on the weekends.
Amanda, great deals!!
AFM, feeling pretty frazzled today. The house is messy and it always makes me feel on edge, but we've been outside so much and I've had errands to do, so nothing is getting cleaned. I'm going to have to do a major cleaning this weekend!! We might have some friends coming over on Sunday, so I definitely need to clean!
Our pool opened last weekend, but of course it had to close half the week because of rain. Bah. But we've had fun on the days we could go! Xander's starting to remember how to kick his legs and all that. I need to find his little floatie thing in the basement so I don't have to hold him the entire time. I also got him some water shoes so he has good traction in the baby pool. He's still figuring out that whole thing, he just walks really slowly. hahaha. And I have to stay right on him because he trips a lot and falls in.
