Mary - that party sounds adorable Have fun! Crazy to think he's 3, aww!

Lauren - time is flying for you (well it feels like that to ME lol). Be careful of the heat!

Virginia - yay for a good chance! I think it's hilarious that DH is more gung ho than you are!

Amanda - what a PITA - GL with all of that! hope you're feeling 100% again

AFM - travel is finally OVER. I'm glad to be done with it. DC was actually a lot of fun b/c my best friend from college lives there. We had dinner, drank some wine and just caught up. He's one of my favorite people on earth and it was so nice to sit and talk for hours! It had been a year since I'd seen him last and with kids and his work there isn't much time to get together. Today I'm feeling like my house looks like a tornado hit it but with the kids I just can't do any deep cleaning. ARGH!

Mostly better, still don't have my appetite back and stomach is a bit off.

Doing lots of baking today, making a batch of sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies for my BFF's Bridal shower, and a batch of chocolate chip cookies for Natalie's school's year end celebration.

Just a quick post as I need to leave for work like RIGHTNOW, haha... I'm still alive but it's my long 9-day week at work AND also I agreed to work two doubles (one was last night and one is tomorrow).. So I'm working 11 shifts in 9 days. Awesome stuff. The money should be good. Two pharmacists are out for a while because their child has been hospitalized... I haven't heard why yet, but I feel terrible for them. I can't imagine. So anyway, that's why I'm working the extra shifts, to help cover for them.

Lauren - To answer your question about re-testing Sean for allergies, we have his appointment set for August, so we still have to wait a while, boooo. I'm certain he still has the egg/nut allergies, but I'm hopeful for milk. I just hope he hasn't gained any new ones since last year, ugh...

    Mary - GL with work

    Amanda - crazy neighbor!

Katie - I'm glad you had fun. GL with the cleaning.

AFM: busy. DH has gotten stuck with long hours the past few days, which isn't great given that I'm way behind on laundry (how am I supposed to put the kids' clothes away when they all share a room? I can't when one is napping and I sure can't when they're all awake!) and we haven't even started getting our stuff together for the wedding we're going to tomorrow.
ETA: TMI I think the stuff I'm trying is working. My ovaries hurt but I still don't have my normal EWCM. Of course, that means the odds I'll get pregnant are lower. But, that's okay. We'd prefer April/May. I'm trying magnesium supplements (supposed to attract "girl" sperm to the egg. Hah.) sudafed/benadryl in the evening (to dry up CM), and I've been avoiding breakfast cereals (supposedly women who eat cereal at breakfast have more boys). I want to O so I can eat normal breakfasts again!

Women eating breakfast cereal thing didn't give me a boy, just my 2-cents. DH and I just concluded that we make girls, BIL and his wife make boys.

I know a couple of us have e-readers of some sort, I have a basic kindle, I like the e-ink without a touch screen, figured some of you ladies would appreciate this.

Virginia - good luck with all your pro-girl stuff! At least if it doesn't work we all know you make beautiful boys.

Amanda - glad you're feeling better. Yay for baking cookies! I've done a little baking recently and Xander is really really into helping me, it's been so cute! It makes me want to bake more (but then I have to eat more baked goods, which I have little self control with, so yeah, heh).

Mary - sorry you have the crazy long shifts at work. Just more money for a new house and/or baby!

Katie - glad you're back and had a good time. Good luck catching up around the house!

AFM - just had my first doctors appointment! EEK! Just your normal first appt, nothing too exciting to report. Hearing the heartbeat was amazing, of course. My DH took a short video - a very short video. Like 10 seconds. I could've slapped him! The thing is, she managed to get my heartbeat and the babies at the same time and it was awesome, but he'd turned off the camera by then! I was so mad! I think he felt self conscious or something, even though he took a super long video the first time we heard Xander's heartbeat... At least we got a little bit, though.

Also, we can now find out the gender! The hospital still won't do it, but there's another OB in town that hired his own x-ray tech and he allows patients from other OB's to go there to get gender testing!! Part of me still wants a surprise, but DH really wants to find out. I'm not really dead set either way, so I figure I'll give him his way (I get my way with most other pregnancy decisions, so it's fair). heh. Plus, I know this OB has a 3D machine and I'd be thrilled to get one of those! Not sure if that's included in this scan, but I sure hope so! Something to ask at my next appt.

Lauren - Yay! I think the 3D is AMAZING! We went for the early gender scan at 14 weeks with Calvin, and the girl flipped it over to 3D for us and gave us a few pictures, and it was soooo freaking cool. She told me his actual size at the time was only about the size of the palm of my hand, and yet everything was there so perfectly formed. It was probably the first time I let myself bond with the pregnancy a bit, since I had all that bleeding.

Virginia - Good luck with attracting the girl sperm, hahaha. I really wonder if DH and I will end up with another boy or a girl next time, considering we're only planning one more baby. I think I'll be happy either way, but it would be cool to have a girl to share fun girly experiences with... Dress shopping for dances, fixing hair (even though I suck at it), etc.. We shall see, I suppose.

Lauren - yay for hearing the hb! How exciting that you can get a gender scan. How early will they do one?

Amanda - yeah, I'm pretty sure we just make boys. But, I figure if I don't try some of the girl stuff I'll always wonder what might have happened.

Mary - GL with your #3. I'll let you know how things work out for me.

AFM: should be Oing today. DH really, really wants another. He's so darn excited. I was kind of trying to JLIH but he kept talking about it and wanted to know when we should try, etc. Because I did the girl things I'll be kind of surprised if I actually get pregnant this cycle. TMI I never had the ridiculous amount of EWCM I usually get. As for testing, I'll have family around when I'd usually test and given the touchy situation there I don't want to know while they're around, so I won't be testing until the 7th (probably 12dpo). And I won't be around much this 2ww. we've got some stuff planned. It'll help the time pass.

Virginia - I'm glad the 2ww will go faster for you! That always makes it much more bearable!

Mary - I always think the same thing about having a girl, that'd it be fun to do "girly stuff." But then I remember that I suck so bad at all that stuff! I can't do hair or makeup, I like to shop but I'm kind of clueless... haha. But I know it'd be fun to TRY, even if I have a kid rolling her eyes at me. heh. But honestly, I will be so happy either way. The chicks in my BB are always going crazy about how they MUST have a girl or boy and I've just never had that feeling. We're having two and I will be equally happy with two boys or a boy and a girl.

AFM - we won't get our scan until 24-28 weeks! It was around 20 last time when they did it at the hospital, but at this other place they prefer to do it later. Not sure why... No biggie, though. If this were my first pregnancy I think that would drive me absolutely bonkers, but I am seriously so much more laid back this time.

I felt so crappy yesterday. It was weird, I was getting shaky all over and my heart started racing, it was like I was having a mini panic attack! In fact, I'm fairly sure I was. BUT I have NO idea why! Nothing stressful had happened, I just don't know why my body would do that! We were in the car a lot on Saturday and I was on my feet all day, so I was beyond exhausted yesterday. All I can think is the stress from that caused my body to go into panic mode, at least a little. It was really just a little one, but still. How odd. Usually I'd only get one if something bad happened and I was stressing out. Oh well. Anyway, after I had it I just kind of felt icky the rest of the day. Really tired and a little shaky. So DH let my lie around on the couch. heh. I feel a lot better today, it must've been from being so tired. This pregnancy is really so much more draining than my last! I am tired all the time and everything wears me out super fast!
