what fantastic news! I am so, so, happy for you, Mary!
Are there any other tests or anything planned to try to figure out why so many weird things keep happening to you?

WAHOOOOOOOOOO! I have been checking ALL day Mary! I am SO happy for you! I know you still have to deal with whatever is going on physically but you don't have some horrible test results that confirm something awful and that is a great place to be! I'm so happy for you!

Well he wants to give it a week or two. He thinks some of it could be related to my low calcium, which is back up to normal range now. So he wants to give it a bit of time and see if it improves at all. If not, he'll see me back in a couple weeks for another exam. If all else fails, he said he could send me to OSU and see what they have to say. Bigger hospital, more specialists, etc. I'm also going to try to decrease the doses of the blood pressure med and the zoloft and see if that helps at all. The BP has come down nicely, has been running like 100/60 and I've been getting some postural hypotension that leaves me feeling dizzy/lightheaded, so I think I'm ready to slowly decrease the dose a bit. I see my regular doc on Wednesday, so we can discuss that then. I still don't know why I tingle, have pain in my hands (could still be leftover from the low calcium and potassium, I guess, although I would think that would begin to improve), have weird internal vibrating sensations (maybe a side effect of zoloft and/or anxiety)... Lots of unanswered questions, but I'm glad the answer is not what I thought/feared it was. Who knows what's going on with me...

Good luck, Mary. The postural hypotension sucks, but it's better than high BP.

AFM: feeling kind of blue. I'm doing such a bad job not lifting Oliver, because he asks for it all the time. And if I try to take it easy I never get to play with the kids because they're so active right now. I feel like I can either be a good mom to the kids I have or the baby I'm growing, but not both.

Such great news Mary!! Frustrating that you still don't know what's been causing the random issues but yaaaaaaaay to a clean bill of health from the MRI and everything. So happy for you!

Virginia: sorry you are struggling with keeping everyone happy (inside and out).

I've been contracting all afternoon again. No established pattern though and not getting worse so I don't see a baby in the very near future but at least my body is keeping me guessing!

Ashley - you could try to DTD in spite of the contractions. (Ha.) When my water broke with Oliver and my contractions stopped the MW actually told me to go back home and DTD. I was pretty surprised. And revolted by the idea I was so tired.

Mary - I'm soooo happy everything came back normal!! As for the internal vibrating, as someone who suffers from anxiety (I don't talk about it much here, but I have anxiety issues) I ALWAYS get that internal vibrating/buzzing feeling, sometimes even when I think I'm okay. From what I understand, anxiety builds in your system so even if you might feel okay at the moment, there's still built up pressure from when you were anxious about something before and it can come out at any time. When I had a panic attack a year or so ago (that time I was in the ER) I was actually just fine for about a day or so before it happened, so it seemed to happen out of the blue - but days prior I was super anxious and stressed about something and it was from that. I'm not saying that's what it is, it just sounds quite similar to what I experience.

Ash - omg I can't believe how close you are!!!!! I hope your contractions pick up.

Virginia - I hope you felt a cervix kick! I'm sorry you have to do so much preparing for the baby this early, but hopefully you'll never have to use any of your preparations.

Amanda - sorry your mil is getting another pet. She really doesn't sound like a good pet owner.

Jen - I hope the house stuff works out!

    Everyone else HI!!!

AFM - just got back from a week up north with our families. It was actually a lot of fun and not at all stressful. I can remember traveling with Xander as a baby and it was always awful! But Benjamin is just so chill compared to Xander as a baby, haha. Though I also let him sleep in bed with us all week, so I'm sure that helped. I just didn't want to deal with getting him in a PnP. We're back home now, though, and he's sleeping in his crib just fine. Phew! I'm glad he didn't reject it.

I was a giant pita to everyone the entire time because of my soy allergy, so that made me feel bad. I swear my mom and MIL apologized to me ten gillion times because they didn't have stuff for me to eat. I felt so bad... I didn't expect anyone to go out of their way, I just figured I'd go get my own food if need be... But once they realized just how much stuff soy was in they both kind of freaked about it and just seemed to feel so bad. BUt then my mom got mad at me for not eating one of my aunts brownies that were made with Crisco (soy oil first ingredient). She thought I was going to make my aunt feel bad. Um, so I should make myself sick to make my aunt feel good? That's just my mom, though, she never wants to make anyone feel bad and I honestly think she just doesn't get allergies. Her thinking is that I've been eating soy all this time and I'm okay. Sure, I'm alive and stuff, but I've felt so super crappy for so freakin' long and finally figured out a big piece of the puzzle as to why... But I guess since she's on the outside looking in she doesn't really get it. Anyway, so my aunt didn't feel bad at all, she totally understood just like I knew she would.

Mary - Happy to hear your tests were normal. Hope that helps put your mind at ease. You are saying that the low calcium and potassium might be causing some issues, maybe try taking a vitamin supplement? Doctors here recommend taking a prenatal vitamin for about 3 months after pregnancy.

Virginia - Sorry it's rough trying to deal with kids and a pregnancy, maybe try and find something you can all do without you being to physically active.

Ashley - You need to send that eviction notice to baby boy.

Lauren - Good to hear that the boys were good on the trip and it was fun. Dealing with food allergies is a pain, we often cater to my BIL at family gatherings he can't have gluten. I totally wouldn't feel bad if you couldn't eat what I made, though I use butter over shortening anyway so you'd be good.

    *AFM*

I totally forgot all the tests my doctor did for my stomach came back normal, good and bad since I don't know what is wrong. My doctor is being a pain and not much help she just wants to treat the symptoms with medication and not find the root cause, I obviously want answers.

I am thinking that food sensitivity is part of it, when I mentioned that she told me to do an elimination diet on my own (without advice on how to do it) see if it made a difference, thanks a lot. I think lactose might be one of them it seems if I have dairy I get lots of gas, bloating and pain. Dehydration is another big one I am sure, gotta remember keep hydrated.

Appointment today was pretty much the same as my others - no progress (still about 1 cm despite so much cramping and contracting, ugh!), BP was great, baby sounds good and is head down. He gave me the option to wait it out until Monday or go in Thursday - I asked if he thought it was worth waiting out until Monday and he basically said not really but it was totally my choice. So we're going with Thursday to kick this baby out unless he surprises us before then. Honestly, that works a lot better for me so DH can be around for the first 2 days I'm home anyway assuming baby comes the day we go in vs if we came home on like a Wednesday, he'd be in and out with work for the first few days. IF I'd gone in and had made some progress, I'd probably be waiting it out until Monday in hopes of going into labor on my own but where I'm still not really progressing, I don't want to wait it out another week for nothing so sounds like it's baby week!

Yay for a date! I'll still send you labor vibes in the meantime.

Amanda - I had weird stomach issues in college with nausea, vomiting, an aversion to water, etc. I went to several doctors and everything always came back as normal. Eventually I realized it was all anxiety related. It is so frustrating when you know something is wrong but the doctors try to tell you you're okay. I hope you can figure it out on your own. Getting rid of diary sounds like a good start.

Mary - how are you doing today?

Lauren - sorry the allergies gave you trouble. My family has never had food allergy issues, but my sister's BF (hopefully soon fiance) is extremely allergic to soy. He has ended up hospitalized several times because of it. I'm always terrified to cook/buy food for them because I don't want to mess up and have soy in it. Especially since he's okay with some part of soy (protein or oil or something) but not the rest of it.

AFM: I was at a playgroup this morning and was pretty open about my PP. Three of the women there had friends/sisters who were pregnant with it right now. One was about to have a c/s at 38w and had had no problems from the previa. One was on bedrest at 29w after spending 4 days in the hospital at 27w with a big bleed. One's previa cleared. Ugh. So varied!
