Happy March! I'm really hoping this means the wintry weather will start to disappear and make way for Spring! I'm excited to say that it's now March and I'm having a baby in May. It sounds so close!

    Happy Belated birthday to Calvin!
Katie - GL with the job.

I'm hanging in there. I've been doing a little better the last couple of days. I've been taking the zofran every 6 hours during the day and then the unisom at night. So, the nausea might finally be under control, thank goodness. There's still the exhaustion and the aversion to all foods. ugh. I hate being hungry but not finding anything appetizing.

I had a nice long reply yesterday with personals and pg.org totally ate it.

BAH! Let's see what I can recall....

Amanda - hope the family is all ok and I loved the pics of Dana on FB she's looking like such a grown up

Mary - loved the pics of the boys so cute! I can't believe in 10 weeks plus or minus you'll have a 3rd little boy!

Virginia - hope you're feeling better!

Jen - hope Sam is eating for you!

    Hi everyone else!

I had this epiphany last night....if we moved and had a third baby I could have it in a birth center b/c there would be multiple to choose from in Washington. I told DH it was a definite mark to the positive for moving LOL He just rolled his eyes but really I've done 2 natural births I'd love to do one with a midwife in a birthing center we just don't have one anywhere near here. We also decided to take care of a bunch of little house things that we'd need to get done to move - some spackle/painting etc I mean we need to do it regardless so why not? I've broken the news that I made it to an on site interview to my mom she is actually pretty excited/supportive. Not that she'd want us XC but she also wants us happy so we'll see! It still seems like a fairly big long shot!

Katie - wow how exciting about the job!

Mary - you are so dang close! I swear you just got pregnant. Ashley too!

Jen - I hope Sam is eating better now... I wonder why he decided he didn't like bottles anymore.

Amanda - I hope everyone is okay. No clue on the Booster since I haven't had to use one yet.

AFM - Benjamin and I had our 8 week checkup yesterday (almost two weeks late, though). All is well. Poor guy had to get three shots and was absolutely miserable yesterday! He finally settled at night, though. He has such skinny legs, so I'm sure those shots hurts like hell! Not much else going on. The house is a disaster, so I'm hoping to tackle some cleaning while DH is here... We'll see if Ben allows it!

Lauren - Booo for shots!! Calvin has his 2-year checkup on Monday, so I'm sure he'll get some more. I've had to miss the last few checkups for him, which I hate. They just NEVER work out with my work schedule, and if I try to reschedule, they can't get us in for like 2 months. So I just have to take what we can get and let DH do it while I'm at work. Our pediatrician doesn't even know I'm pregnant... Next time I see her, we'll probably have a newborn, hahaha.

Katie - Glad your mom took the news (or potential news) well. It would be SO hard to leave family, especially when you've got LO's. But it's hard to pass up a dream-job too. Good luck!

Virginia - Glad the nausea is at least a bit better. I hate the food aversions. I had them really badly in the first tri this time around, probably the worst of my three. With Calvin, the only food aversion I had was crab legs, and I only eat that once in a blue moon, so it was NOT a big deal at all, haha. I barely had any nausea with him, though.

AFM - 30 WEEKS!!! Ahhhh!! Insert panic. Holy crap. Where did 30 weeks come from? I'm feeling large and uncomfortable, but I love feeling baby move... And this little boy is a mover! The good news is we MIGHT have found a name that we agree on. Not 100% yet, DH said he wants to stew over it a little longer, but I could see myself keeping this name. I'm not super enthusiastic about the middle name (which is also DH's middle name), but the other kids have a family name for their middle names, so we want to do the same for this one. It's not a bad name by any means, just not one I've ever been all that crazy about. But I think it will be fine.

ETA: Ugh... Contracting a lot tonight. This is SO unlike me. I'm not sure what's going on, but it feels super crampy in my lower back and into my hips, and I'm actually contracting frequently enough that I should probably go in and be monitored, but I'm going to see if I can calm it down on my own first. I know I've probably not had enough water today, so I've got a glass of water. We're heading to bed soon, so I'm hoping just laying down will be enough to settle it. I checked my BP was it was good, 111/60-something, and I am pretty sure I forgot my BP med this morning, so that's a great number. I have just felt a bit "off" today, though... Just unusually worn down, despite sleeping pretty well. I didn't have much patience for the kids this morning, and it's sad, but during Calvin's party, I sorta just wanted everyone to leave so I could rest. I don't know... I was just really nauseated last night, then felt really odd today, and now all this contracting and cramping. It all has me a bit nervous.

Lauren: poor little guy. I hate shots

Katie: wow that would be great!

Mary: Such cute pics of your boys! Yay for *probably* deciding on a name. Sorry about the contractions

Virginia: sorry to hear you can't eat or stay awake. First trimesters are the WORST. Seriously, I'd rather be huge and uncomfortably 40 weeks pregnant any day over mid-first trimester. Hang in there!! *hugs*

We left our kids with a non grandparent sitter for the first time ever last night (I know, strange we've made it this long). My 15 YO cousin volunteered (who I used to baby sit, kind of funny) and Brekke adored her. Dane has been going through an anti everyone-but-Mom phase so I put him to bed before we left (about 7...early for him but he didn't really nap so I figured it would work). He fell asleep but woke up at 9. Surprisingly, he decided she was okay and sat by her on the couch and watched MMC instead of screaming for "MOOOOOM!" until we got home. I had no idea what to pay her, but ended up giving her $20 for 3 hours...does that sound fair? She really only had to watch one kid at a time because she put my DD to bed about the time DS woke up. I heard a huge variety of answers as far as how much to pay so I just kind of winged it. Anyway, I was kind of stressed out the whole time because I figured Dane would scream bloody murder if he woke up, but we all survived

Ashley - Glad the babysitter ordeal worked out okay. I think the amount you paid is fine. It equates to roughly minimum wage, which I think is fine for a teenage babysitter. We've never left our with anyone other than grandparents, and we have literally only done that one time, to see the last Harry Potter movie, lol. And we went straight to the movie and rushed right home because it was just after Sean's febrile seizure and we were worried sick about him. I suppose we're probably long overdue for a date night or something, hahah..

AFM - Contractions finally calmed down last night with some water and rest. I was getting nervous there for a bit. It was pretty frequent for about 1.5-2 hours, and it wasn't pain-free... I was really crampy in my lower back, down through my hips and it radiated into my upper thighs. Scary... I hope it doesn't come back. I'm sure I didn't have nearly enough water yesterday, so we'll blame it on that.

I hope the contractions don't come back, Mary. I had a few sporadic ones starting around then with Oliver, but nothing regular. I'd give the doc a call and at least let them know. GL.

AFM: doing a little better, eating a little more. still really tired all the time, though. I feel almost normal as long as I'm lying down, but get tired so quickly when standing that I've been skipping some of the kids' activities. I just can't do it right now.

Glad they seem to have gone away Mary. I have a strong tendency to get BH's from about 25 weeks on and even after going through it twice before they totally freak me out. AND they aren't painful like the ones you described so I probably would've been stressing out!

My new stroller is coming tomorrow! It's borderline sad how excited I am about it.

Ashley - Enjoy the new stroller! Which one did you get? I've had BH's with both of mine, even starting pretty early on, like 16 weeks. But never anything like I had the other night. It was freaky! It came back for a little while the next evening, but not as bad, and it didn't last as long. Haven't had it since then.

Virginia - Glad you're doing a little better. I hope this first trimester goes quickly for you. Any idea when you might get another u/s?

AFM - I swear this bean is going to be eager to come out, just hopefully not for at least 7-8 more weeks. I felt him drop some today. I was standing there getting ready to take my shower, and I got aching pain in the lower part of my abdomen. I looked in the mirror, and I swear the appearance of my lower belly had changed. There had been a definite line between the bottom of my belly and my pelvis, and after the pain, it was a very smooth line. It's weird how much more obvious these things are on #3 when everything is already stretched out of whack.
