Lauren: that's cute your DH was concerned about your putting both kids to bed. My DH is zero help at bedtime other than entertaining one while I put the other one in bed, but the TV can handle that too if he's not available Glad to hear Benjamin is doing well in his crib!! And sorry about your mom, yikes. I hope the doc does a better job this time so she doesn't have to go under the knife again.

Katie: sorry they didn't offer you the job, but like you said, great learning experience if nothing else and woooooohooooo for getting to TTC sooner

I was looking at baby name forums today (no we still aren't close to set on a name for our little booger) and found this list someone put together of what the top names are popularity-wise taking different spellings into account. Mary, wasn't it you who said a while back you wish they had this somewhere? Anyway, it's fun to look at the crazy spellings of common names if nothing else...people are ridiculous.

I took the crib out of Dane's room yesterday because he slept all night in the bed and I figured if he can sleep all night and be fine, no reason to give him the option anymore. So it's now in the baby's room which is pretty much empty otherwise. He did great in his bed again last night - struggles to actually lay down and go to sleep (wants to come out and see what we're doing instead) but finally got back in bed and did fine. Yay!

Ashley - Yes! That was me talking about the crazy name spellings, haha. I always wish they'd link them up in the "top 100" or whatever so the same name doesn't get 2-3 spots, especially when the other ones are just because people spelled their kids' names wrong, hahaha.

Lauren - So sorry your mom had to have more surgery. Ugh. I guess as long as they get it all out of there, that's the important part. Hoping for the best!

Amanda - So sorry to hear about your dad. Any updates on him?

Katie - Boooo for no job offer! But woohoo for maybe having more babies sooner! haha. And I guess moving across the country might be a PITA.

Virginia - How did you get to 11 weeks already?!?! Wow, you'll be in the 2nd tri before we know it. Glad things are going well.

AFM - Had my NST today. It was okay. Baby wasn't giving them what they wanted at first, but he was moving a good bit. Lots of those big movements that feel like he's rolling over or something. But they weren't pleased, so they gave me some ice water and had me roll to my other side. He was good after that, I guess, and so we passed. Oh, and TGIF. I'm exhausted. Going to the zoo with the IL's tomorrow. Weather should be decent... Upper 50's and sunny. Then Sunday we'll be visiting my family for Easter. It's probably going to rain, which sucks. I hate when it rains on Easter. We like to do an egg-hunt for the kids, and we do it inside if it's rainy, which is just not nearly as fun as outside.

Amanda - ((HUGS)) how's your dad doing? I totally missed that when I posted last night, I'm so sorry!

Lauren - THat's so hard for your family and mom, ugh I hope they get it all. YAY for the sleeping that's AWESOME

Mary - glad you passed! Keep on cookin' little boy

Ashley - yay for Dane in a big bed!

AFM - I'm surprised that I'm a bit relieved today. There was some excitement about moving but I think it would have been CRAZY stressful and the idea of being away from the kids/DH for any length of time would have been REALLY hard. SOOOO maybe BFP around my sister's wedding in Sept? June Baby? Woot woot

Katie - June is a great time to have a baby! I much preferred being big in the Spring/Early Summer, as opposed to in the winter. The maternity clothes are cuter, and I didn't have to worry about slipping and falling on ice.

AFM - Going to the zoo today. It's supposed to be sunny and 60 degrees. Finally a nice weather day on a day I'm off work! I feel exhausted, though. I swear I haven't felt rested in the morning for the past week now. I'm pretty sure I'm just going to feel this way until the end. I feel like I sleep pretty well, but apparently I don't. I did wake up last night with some nasty heartburn. I took some tums and pepcid and fell right back to sleep, but apparently those little sleep disturbances every night are starting to add up.

Mary: must have been a disturbance in the preggo universe because I woke up basically gagging from heartburn. 3 Tums later and I was good to go though. Enjoy the zoo! Your weather sounds identical to ours today...love it!

Katie: I'm partial to summer babies being that is all I have...you don't have to worry about bundling up a tiny newborn in huge clothes just to go run an errand and like Mary said, you are hugely pregnant in "warm weather" clothes which are more comfortable and cute.

We've been out enjoying the warm weather playing in the yard and now the kids are having lunch and then naps. I need to get their Easter baskets done so that's probably what I have going on while they nap today. Then we're going to the soccer game tonight and my mom is watching my kids. Dane doesn't do that great with my mom so cross your fingers for us that he'll behave.

Crap, Easter baskets... LOL. I have baskets and some stuff to go in them, but I didn't feel like I got MUCH stuff to go in them. I need to go put them together, actually. I hate to buy a ton of candy, so I just bought them some chocolate from Vermont Nut-Free Chocolates (I'm excited to try them, lol). It's nice knowing I don't have to worry about a nut accidentally slipping in during the production. Got them some jelly beans and a couple little toys to go inside. Nothing too exciting, but they should enjoy it.

As for the heartburn, I made the mistake of eating greasy pizza last night, lol. I knew I'd pay for it. I actually meant to take a pepcid before bed and forgot. I was kicking myself for it when I woke up in the middle of the night DYING of heartburn, haha. I can tolerate foods like that when I'm not pregnant, but this little dude is apparently taking up too much space in my abdomen.

Today, we went to the zoo with the IL's. It was still a tad chilly for my taste, but it was much better than it has been lately. Upper 50's, or it might have hit 60 degrees. It was PACKED. OMG. I figured it would be. Any time you go on a nice-weather Saturday, you can guarantee it's going to be packed. DH and FIL stood in line to try to get us some food at the zoo and they were there probably 15 minutes and barely moved at all. There were still a LOT of people in front of them, so we said forget it. We ended up going out to eat afterwards and got some better food anyway, so that was okay, except I was a starving prego walking all over the zoo. Tomorrow, we'll go to visit my family. I'm anxious for the kids to get to play with some of my cousins' kids that they don't get to see very much.

Hope everyone has had a nice holiday weekend however you celebrate! We just do dinner at my cousin's. The boys played outside though and that was a nice change!

Mary - I SO wish we had a nice zoo close. I think we may go back to my sister's in NYC and hit the Bronx Zoo again this spring.

    Ashley - hope Dane behaved!

Booked our summer beach vacation WOOT! I was thinking about changing things up but DH really wanted to keep it to driving and not get too crazy so we're going to stick with Cape Cod, renting the same house etc. Should be nice though. YAY vacation. I'm also thinking we need a new house laptop. We both have work ones and have basically used those but really we need one for house stuff so that's on the list too. As for today just cleaning and relaxing....a good day with the kiddos

My dad is not doing so well, he has pneumonia and it's BAD.

Natalie and I were sick last night so we had to cancel our Easter plans at our house. The girls were happy with the stuff the Easter Bunny brought them.

Amanda - So sorry your dad isn't doing any better. I hope things turn around for him. :-/ I hope you and Natalie are feeling better. We've had way too much sickness on this board over the past few months.

Katie - YAY for vacation! I was just whining on the way home about how I never get vacation, haha. My last one was in September. We went to visit SIL and BIL and they live in a bit of a touristy area anyway, so we did get to do some fun things. It was more off-season, so not very crowded and it was nice, but the weather was a bit cold and rainy. But ugh, that was soooo long ago. I really can't wait for maternity leave just to get some time off work. Only a month or so to go, thank goodness.

AFM - Easter was pretty good. We went to visit my parents. My aunt had a meal at her house, kids hunted eggs inside the house because it was a bit cold and rainy outside. They did go outside to beat up an Easter Bunny pinata, though. There were some bubbles inside, along with the candy, so the kids enjoyed playing with the bubbles for a bit. I was a bit nervous because both kids seemed to be having allergic-reaction type symptoms, especially Sean. Calvin's was mostly a skin rash, which he has had a few times before... I'm certain it's allergic in nature, and I'm going to have him tested soon. I was a little more nervous about Sean's... He started getting red welts on his face around his eyes and mouth, his nose was running, and it may be unrelated, but he had a really red rash on his bum. It was on the outside, more towards his hips, so it wasn't like a diaper-type rash, which he shouldn't have anyway, because he's potty trained. He was wearing a brand new pair of underwear for the first time, so I wonder if they were just bothering him. But as for the other symptoms, I don't know. I sorta wonder if he's allergic to my parents' dogs. Everyone was like, "Well if he's allergic to dogs, wouldn't he react to Peanut?" But not necessarily... First of all, Peanut is a short-haired dog and doesn't shed much. My parents' dogs are longer-haired, and they do shed a fair deal... I had a good bit of their hair stuck on my shirt. The other alternative is he has developed another food allergy, but I hope not.
