Virginia - We're on the same page with that, trust me! I prefer low-key any day. My wedding was ideal for me. It was outdoor, afternoon (around 3pm if I remember correctly), and we served a simple dinner afterwards. No dancing, because I hate dancing and feel self-conscious, haha. Black tie is not my thing. I do wear makeup, only because I hate my post-acne complexion, haha.
Naw I think it's normal enough Virginia. Though not preg I might find it fun....at least more than preg. Weddings preg are the pits. And I recently decided I was starting to look old so I started wearing a little make up LOL Just to work...I bought some bare essentials, not bad! Though I'm pretty useless overall in the make up department
AHHHH I'm starting to get anxiously excited about the interview. I wish I had a few more professional friends I could confide in....I could use some more interview tips what the heck will I talk about for 6 straight interview hours?!

a 6 hour interview? eek. Good luck.
I'm going to put up a new belly pic. I don't know how much longer I can hide it from the kids or anyone else. I wish I had some actual breasts to hide the belly. I have to be the only pregnant and BFing lady out there who doesn't even need to wear a bra.
I'm trying to make it until my next u/s (Aprilbefore telling anyone because I want to know how the SCH (and baby) is doing and find out from an expert what the prognosis is.
ETA: what do you think of this dress (in the dark blue)? http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_...ty-Appropriate I'm thin and should have a fairly noticeable 20 week belly.

Mary: glad to hear it wasn't a HUGE car problem. Otherwise, have you liked your Mazda? We're looking pretty seriously at the CX-9 that's why I ask. I've loved my Subaru but I just don't think the Tribeca is big enough (although I haven't actually sat in one yet so TBD). Glad to hear your coworker isn't doing worse! Bummer about your cousin! Wish my baby didn't cooperateAlthough I'm still pulling the skeptic card until he gets here that we aren't 100% sure LOL
Virginia: I think that's a very pretty dress for the occasion. I'm all about dressing up to an extent, but black tie is out of my comfort zone. I'm not really a gown person.
Katie: yikes, best of luck with the interview!! Thanks for making me feel awesome, I definitely don't look like a bada$$ running pregnant
So DH started calorie counting on his phone because he is working out a LOT and is worried about losing weight. Turns out, he doesn't eat close to enough food! Ugh, who has that problem! I'm fairly conscious of my calorie intake usually, but haven't been paying much attention these days so decided to download the app too and I'm eating less than I would've thought but my sugar intake is too high which is super annoying because I'm not even eating candy or anything, just trying to avoid artificial sweeteners so like my yogurt, coffee creamer, etc has a lot of sugar. ANYWAY...the kids' pre-nap show just finished so gotta go put them down.
Ashley - Other than the recent problems, I've liked my mazda. And I have no idea what would have caused this hose to break, but they seemed to act like it was something uncontrollable, like a rock flew up and hit it or something. Otherwise, I haven't had too much problem with it. It is 6 years old now, but still pretty low miles, just under 40K. As for the calorie-counting, omg, I don't even want to know. I feel HUGE. I'm just throwing in the towel and eating whatever I want until this pregnancy is over, haha.
Virginia - I think that dress will look good on you. Boo for black tie! hahaha.
Katie - God, a 6 hour interview? I'd shoot myself. My mom is the job interview queen. I swear to god, sometimes she interviews for jobs that she probably doesn't even really want and just says, "It will be good professional experience." WTF, who does that? lol. I loathe job interviews to the depths of my core, hahaha..
AFM - Had a very fast NST this morning. I actually like the new "maternal fetal medicine" department doing it better than I thought I would. It's inconvenient because their hours don't always work with my schedule, but it was really nice. I was in a room all by myself (as opposed to doing it in L&D triage where there are half a dozen beds separated by curtains). And I had a nurse all to myself, too, hahaah. Not that I really needed one to be there the whole time, but it was nice. The baby was very active.. She called him "happy" haha. After that, I had an u/s. Baby is definitely still a boy. It's nice to have a second confirmation because the first picture was a little sketchy. The u/s tech pointed out where she could see some hair on his head, awwww.He is head-down with his spine coming up my right side and his feet extended over to my left side. Oh, and I almost forgot... His estimated weight is now 3lb 14oz... Almost 4 lbs!!

That is so exciting, Mary! I love when they can see things like hair.![]()

Mary - glad the NST went well and the u/s looked good! I'm glad your co-worker isn't worse, I pray his chemo goes well with no complications. Crazy about the car! I guess you can't blame the make for a rock or whatever. heh
Virginia - very cute dress, I think it'd look good with a bump!
Ash - Gee, I always have the opposite problem when calorie counting... I eat too much! heh
Katie - GL with the interview! Wow, SIX HOURS! My DH had an interview that long for his current job.. His was broken up with different people and he had some breaks in between, then at the end everyone got together for a big q&a.
AFM - Yay 1am pumping... I can't wait til I can just sleep all night again. *yawn* Hopefully Ben sleeps for awhile longer before he wants to nurse or comfort nurse back to bed. He's still in OUR bed, but we're officially taking down the guest bed, etc. in his nursery this weekend after my parents visit. Then I'm going to really work on getting him to sleep in there, because this co-sleeping needs to end. Sometimes I love it, who doesn't love cuddling, but I'm often forced to lie in awkward positions for long periods of time with a baby attatched to me, plus if I move too much he wakes up now and that's super annoying. I think I'm just ready for him to move out of my bed... I'm just not sure he's going to be ready! haha.
Lauren - Good luck. It took me 10 months to get Rory out of our bed but you have to start at some point fighting the fight LOL I did all sorts of crazy things from putting his crib mattress on the floor so I could nurse him to sleep and slip out to putting rails on our bed. But now he sleeps like a champ in his crib every night. It's blissfully wonderful. I still don't take it for granted, co sleeping is so not my thing!
Ashley - GL car shopping! What's the app, sounds like a good one!
VIrginia - I like the dress and yay for showing
Mary - HAHA on your mother. That's what I'm telling myself if nothing else this is a great experience but ugh a long and exhausting one too!
Hi all! It's a super quiet Friday in the office and I'm SO tempted to duck out early and hit some shops for an outfit for my interview. I wish it was just a suit like every other interview LOL I have those that's easy. THis whole "be casual and comfortable but professional" is for the birds. And I've almost slipped a million times when people ask where I'll be MOnday/Tues. Nothing ventured nothing gained....

Katie - You'll have to let us know what you decide to wear! Inquiring minds want to know!
Lauren - Good luck on ending the cosleeping.. HAHA... Holy crap, both boys are still in our bed. We've bought bed rails and cute bedding from pottery barn kids to make our guest bed into a big boy bed for them (to share until we move, I refuse to buy another bed for calvin until we move). But we keep getting set back on moving them into it. First, it was Calvin's broken arm and he was waking up in pain a lot, now it's just too exhausting to think of dealing with it because with my coworker gone, I'm having to work a lot of 14-hour days (16 hours if you count the drive time). So yeah, I'm not sure WHAT we're going to do, we just need to bite the bullet and get it done.
Virginia - Yes! The hair was like the most exciting thing to me. I just was not expecting it at all, and so it caught me by surprise and I was like, "Awww!"
AFM - I ate sauerkraut for two meals today, haha... I was starving at work and I broke down and texted my mom and asked her to bring me a turkey reuben from this local sandwich/soup/salad type restaurant. OMG, it was amazing. Then we had pork/kraut/mashed potatoes for dinner, haha. I had to take a zantac, hahaha. DH made some of his Irish soda bread and it worked PERFECTLY with the egg-replacer, yay! You can't even tell it's missing the egg. I always love it when it is a success. It's no wonder I'm huge this time... I'm eating EVERYTHING.
