Katie - Glad the crazy interview thing is done and I hope you're home by now!! I hope you get the offer!
Lauren - So glad to hear your mom's surgery went well. I hope the rest goes just as well.
Amanda - Oh, I don't go to L&D for all my check-ups, just for my NST's. And actually now that they have this maternal-fetal medicine area within L&D, I only have to go to L&D triage for my NST's when my work schedule is such that I can't go during normal business hours and I have to go late at night or on the weekend. I could do the NST's at my doc's office, but their hours are more restricted making it even harder to get in with my work schedule.
I hope you're feeling better from your cold! My DH had one recently, but thankfully none of the rest of us got it. That's odd, considering kids are like little petri dishes, and my immune system is crap when I'm pregnant.
AFM - I had a NST this morning.. Ugh. I didn't feel like it was going as great as the previous one. Baby was moving, but not as much as normal. I think he was just tired this morning after our double shift at work yesterday. But anyway, after my time on the monitor was up, the nurse told me she was just going to go show it to the attending physician. I knew she didn't show it to anyone the previous time and she had raved about how great he looked, so I felt like something wasn't as good this time. She was also asking me questions about my diagnosis of gestational hypertension. My BP was pretty low, 100/50 when she checked it. So I told her yes, it was running high this time (she thought maybe I was there as precaution because of last time)... I had to remind her I'm medicated, my BP is not naturally 100/50, haha. And she started asking me questions about if I've had an u/s recently. I told her, yes, I just had one on Thursday. So anyway, the doctor came in and talked to me, said the baby was showing minor signs that they see in situations where the fluid is running low. He said it was really pretty minimal, on the borderline of whether they'd order an u/s based on that, but since I had just had one, they wouldn't order another one. So they called over to my OB's office to find out what my fluid level was at my u/s on Thursday... It felt like FOREVER waiting, and I was getting nervous to be going down the low fluid path again. But thankfully, they reported it as 12.something. Under 5 is considered low, and I was at a 3.something when I was induced with Calvin. So 12 was great. They were happy enough with that result and let me go home. So I'm not sure what was up with his activity on the NST, but I hope my one on Friday is better.

This cold seems to be clearing, YAY!
Last day of work before Easter, a little frustrated since Nat's school is closed both the Friday and the Monday. (and only Friday is a statutory holiday) I have to get working on stuff for the upcoming convention and as much as I love the time off I really can't afford it time wise.
* Amanda *
Mary - ugh that's frustrating, it has to be hard when monitored so often b/c there just have to be slow days right? Fingers crossed the next NST is all good! You are getting SO close!
Amanda - yay for feeling better! We get no days off for Easter luckily daycare doesn't close either.
I was SO tired yesterday. I actually fell asleep in the airport and almost missed my connecting flight which would have SUCKED. Then I got home and slept 3 more hours and went to bed early. UGH too much travel! So I'm glad to be home and not on the run!

Hey girls, sorry I read but don't have time for personals today. We are having a big week at our house - Brekke decided she was ready to move to her new bed at night too (she's been napping in it for about a month) which means changing rooms completely and being in the basement by herself. I wasn't sure if she would really stick with it, but 2 nights with no problems so I guess she's happy. I've spent most of the day trying to get her wall decorated down there and deconstruct her old room (it'll be baby's room and I don't think pink stickers everywhere will work for him). So crazy. SOOOO that being said, I moved her toddler bed into Dane's room yesterday. Last night, he wanted nothing to do with it and I ended up putting him in his crib because I was too tired to deal with it but he's currently napping in the BED right now! Wish me luck...could have seriously backlash from him tonight but I've left his crib in his room for now too just in case. Pretty nuts though that he's in a big boy bed! Anyway, I have to workout quickly and shower before everyone wakes up but I promise to catch up on personals soon
I just got blindsided with bad news today
My dad's been undergoing treatment for a virus of some sort the treatment is very much like a cancer treatment with how it effects the body. He went for a check-up on Tuesday and was doing really well, no trace of virus found, so he would only have to be on the 6 month treatment.
I got a call from my mom this morning, and I am not sure how I am going to keep from breaking out in tears, my dad has landed in the ICU they haven't pin pointed what's wrong but it is life threatening.
* Amanda *
Amanda - I hope your dad is okay.
Mary - I'm glad the fluid level is still high enough. Hopefully everything will look better next time.
Ashley - yay for kids sleeping in their beds!
AFM: m/s is fading a little. I've decreased my zofran but getting the dose right is touch and go. It keeps wearing off at random times (like right when I got to the grocery store yesterday). And... I think I felt a wiggle this morning. I know it's too early, but I also know that nothing else has quite the same "there's a live goldfish wiggling around in my belly" feeling.

Amanda: *HUGS* Ps and Ts for your dad!
Virginia: yay that m/s is starting to fade. Mine really stuck hard this time until 14 weeks before it faded. And woohoo for possible movement!
Mary: GL with your NST tomorrow, hopefully it is more positive!
Katie: glad you didn't actually miss your connecting flight!
Well they decided not to offer me the position. Honestly I'm not shocked. It was a long shot to begin with, I really don't think I was at my best, it was a position not exactly in my wheel house. I'm disappointed and bummed ot be back to looking but it was a good experience. I've thought up a million better responses to their questions since leaving and that's a plus for next time, right?
Oh and I can get pregnant this summer, yay for that LOL

Amanda - I'm sorry to hear about your dad, he'll be in my T&P's! kup
Mary - glad your fluid levels were good.
Ash - gl with the bed stuff!
Katie - sorry they didn't offer you the job, but yaaaay for getting pregnant earlier!
Virginia - glad the m/s is starting to back off.
AFM - Pathology came back on my mom yesterday and the doctor decided he didn't think he took off enough tissue and that there might still be some cancer cells, so my poor mom had to go in for more surgery today to remove more tissue! I feel awful for her, that's definitely not what you want to hear. Hopefully this'll be it, though. Well, until her radiation in a month or so that is. Uggggh.
DH went out with friends tonight, so it was my first time putting both kiddos to bed. No biggie, I do it at naptime so I wasn't worried. DH was freaking out, though, like he was leaving me with 10 kids or something. lol. All went well, just as I figured it would. I've had Benjamin in his crib for a few nights now and it's going really really well! He's going to bed so easily and only waking once to eat. The first few nights I brought him back to bed with me after he woke because I didn't want to hassle with trying to get him back to sleep, but last night I decided to try just plopping him back in his crib after he ate and he went right back to bed. My jaw about hit the floor, I did NOT expect this from my previously super clingy baby! hahaha
Lauren: that's cute your DH was concerned about your putting both kids to bed. My DH is zero help at bedtime other than entertaining one while I put the other one in bed, but the TV can handle that too if he's not available Glad to hear Benjamin is doing well in his crib!! And sorry about your mom, yikes. I hope the doc does a better job this time so she doesn't have to go under the knife again.
Katie: sorry they didn't offer you the job, but like you said, great learning experience if nothing else and woooooohooooo for getting to TTC sooner
I was looking at baby name forums today (no we still aren't close to set on a name for our little booger) and found this list someone put together of what the top names are popularity-wise taking different spellings into account. Mary, wasn't it you who said a while back you wish they had this somewhere? Anyway, it's fun to look at the crazy spellings of common names if nothing else...people are ridiculous.
I took the crib out of Dane's room yesterday because he slept all night in the bed and I figured if he can sleep all night and be fine, no reason to give him the option anymore. So it's now in the baby's room which is pretty much empty otherwise. He did great in his bed again last night - struggles to actually lay down and go to sleep (wants to come out and see what we're doing instead) but finally got back in bed and did fine. Yay!
