Mary's testing thread...

It's never too early to POAS, right? Hahah..

7dpo FMU on 10miu/ml sensitive test. Ignore the little black speck on the test. These cheapos are annoying and full of little things like that, grrr. Super faint positive??

How long after did you take the picture? I do see a faint line but if it the picture was long after it could be evap.

I definitely see something, too! But only on the top half of the test? Maybe it's some weird glare or something. Test again in a few days! Or, every day till you get a definitive answer. Wink

I'm not feeling as optimistic today. Tests still very faint. I did a FRER today because I did get a positive on a FRER at 8dpo with Calvin. It's not a total BFN.I guess it's still early, but I'm feeling more AF-ish if that makes any sense. I was feeling very prego-ish, lots of pulling, twingy sensations in my uterus area. Now it's feeling more like AF... I can't describe the feeling, just that feeling you get before AF where you're like, "I should put a pad on just in case" hahah. And I don't know what relevance it might have, but the milk is back to leaking FULL FORCE, like worse than before.

ETA: Oops, I messed up. I got my BFP with Calvin at 9 dpo and with Sean at 10dpo. So yeah, I guess maybe 8dpo is still a tad early to draw conclusions.

Yeah I see something! And yes, 8DPO is way too early to be drawing any definite conclusions! I couldn't get a BFP before 12 DPO with either kiddo. Always stark white on 10DPO. I'd wait a few more days and test again.

That gives me hope Lauren - I have a positive on a FRER this morning, but it's so freaking faint, I've convinced myself it must be a chem pg. It's definitely a line and it popped up within the time limit, but dude, has their ever been a lighter line than this? I don't think so. I would post a pic, but I don't think my camera would even pick up the line, so I'm not bothering today.

I had some spotting yesterday that was definitely not my normal period. It was light brown with maybe a hint of pink. At first it was just a little spot, then it was like a bunch of CM tinged that color (sorry, TMI). I never spot before AF and I never have brown blood before AF. So there's definitely SOMETHING going on... It's just a matter of time to determine if it's something good or something bad.

**ETA: I just googled 9dpo FRER pics and I'd say mine is actually consistent with most of them. So maybe it's a real positive afterall?? (in denial)

And just because it's super boring to read this post and not have a pic, here it is... Be prepared to squint, lol. Although it is more visible IRL.

My laptop sucks for looking at pics of preg tests, so I can't really comment on the picture. I'll just take your word for it. But like I said, mine were completely white at 10dpo, so I think a faint line at 9dpo is a good thing.

I had tons of CM tinged with brown/pink blood when I got pregnant this time around, and even had some spotting for weeks after my BFP. Easier said than done, but try not to worry too much about it at this point...

I see the line it's there and at 9 DPO it looks like a pretty normal line to me. Can't wait for tomorrow's pic!

Tests are slightly darker today, but still suuuuper faint. I can't help but think it's likely a chem pg. I'm okay with that, but if my period is going to start, I wish it would just do it. I just don't want to experience the m/c with the passing of those huge clots and stuff again, uuugggghhhh...

10 dpo FRER. I think it's visible in the picture, at least, but still too faint for comfort, haha. I'm trying to get back into the mindset I had with Sean where, "a line is a line." Must expel all bad pregnancy/mc memories from brain.

I see your line!! Congrats, Mary!!!! I am going to be positive FOR you! Wink Woohoo!!!! Are you sure of your O date? Maybe you O'd a little later than you thought? I think that looks like a great test for 10dpo, though!

Well, that's way more than I ever had at 10dpo since mine were all blank!!

Mary... You are OFFICIALLY never ever ever EVER allowed to test before 12 dpo ever again. In your entire life! heh

Well crap... I started bleeding today, much like a period. Of course, it's very intermittent and weird, which I HATE. I'd be fine with it if it was just like a normal AF, but it's starting much like my m/c, and so of course I'm terrified that it's going to drag out over the last month like it did last time, and end with passing huge clots and whatnot. Uggghh... I can deal with the not-being-pregnant right now thing, but I just really hope it doesn't drag on like that. I can not deal with that physical part again.

Mary - Hoping this goes into full on AF for you tomorrow so you know you're not dealing with a MC. I've had some odd periods like that, I've had lots of odd stuff since having Natty so nothing phases me any more.

Good news (sorta)... Flow has been a little heavier today. I think I've soaked like 3 tampons (sorry, tmi, lol)... I was just so worried it would drag on, my body wouldn't get the hint, etc, especially after it had a pretty slow and strange start. But it seems to be working out mostly like a normal AF. DH is now hell-bent on TTC, hahaha... He was the one initially trying to JLIH, now he's all gung-ho. Nothing like an "almost" BFP to get him enthusiastic about it. I'm more hesitant. In reality, I'll go for it... I can't resist. But it did bring back a lot of those stressful and very unpleasant emotions that I had during the m/c and my pregnancy with Calvin... I don't look forward to experiencing that again very soon, but I know I'll have to deal with those emotions again whenever I do get pregnant, so we might as well just get on with it and get past it. I am SOOOO glad that my pregnancy with Sean was normal, uneventful, and very textbook... And I'm glad that it was my first pregnancy... I got to experience the pure, innocent joy of pregnancy. Smile

What are those? Actually my pregnancy with Dana was pretty textbook until the end when she decided to show up at mach 10, leaving me doing an unplanned home birth, very scary. Natalie was far, far worse throughout the pregnancy, which is why I was induced in the end. I would have been cool with two super fast natural deliveries, since I was expecting it the second time.

Glad that AF is acting more normal for you, can't wait to stalk you next month, so are you going to be charting or just a more casual approach?

sorry AF showed, Mary. Keep in mind that FRER can test super low levels and the cheapies you said were testing at 10. I think typically under 25 is considered "equivocal" so maybe they were actually false positives. Wishing you better luck this cycle!
