May Chat Thread
Copied my stuff from April to here.
Mary - Too bad the contractions tapered off :(, good sign that baby might try and come on his own though.
Virginia - I don't know how you have the patients to BF for two years. Congrats!
Glad Oliver's 2 year check-up went well, can't believe he's 2 already. All your boys are big, Nat is still under 30 lbs and over 4 years old. Haven't checked her height, but she's pretty short. Short and skinny run in both families, so it doesn't shock me.
Lauren - Wish I could give you some advice, but I've always had easy kids when it came to visiting the doctor. I think with Natalie it's cause I have to visit one on a regular basis and I am fairly comfortable looking around them (at least on the outside).
My DH just did 2 allergy tests (seperate days), first for food, second for environmental, they did them on his arm, so they may split yours. Nothing came back as critical, had minor allergies to certain plants which we knew, and was surprised he was allergic to Rabbits and Hamsters, but not Guinea Pigs. I never really liked rodents as pets (except ferrets) so not a biggie.
Ashley - Yay for a new car, I don't drive so not a concern here. DH will be jumping for joy when he can get rid of this Civic, Honda cut corners on the 2012 model making it not as nice, it's also been through quite a few minor accidents.
I'm happy to see snow gone, but it's still May I don't trust the weather until the end of the month here, Ontario weather is fun that way.
Went to see the doctor about some stomach issues, right now I am just going take some fiber by her suggestion and get some tests run. I am going to pass on the Prevacid (a drug she prescribed), one of the possible side effects is "jerking muscle movements" and I already have that thanks to dystonia, don't want to make it worse with a drug.
Weather is beautiful today, wish I wasn't in the office all day. :(
OK what is with this why would I take a medication that give me worse stomach problems than what I have? To top it if she's concerned that my issue may be constipation why give a drug that causes it? OMG doctors are going to drive me INSANE!
Mary - Happy EDD month, hope baby boy comes soon.
He's coming tonight! Had my OB appointment and fluid had dropped too low, so I'm here in my hospital room waiting to get started!
PS no GB posts yet please! :)
I just saw on FB that it's a go! Good luck, Mary!! Lots and lots of ELV's! Can't wait to see this new guy's little face and hear the name!!
Hi y'all! ;) I promise I am here. Seriously, I have such a hard time keeping up! Haha. Oh well, I will get back into a groove.
Quick news for me - my mom got her knee replaced today! She's already up and walking around, so, I think it went well! She was starting to feel more pain when I talked to her, so I think the "good stuff" was wearing off. It's going to be a long road to recovery, from what I understand, but I know she's so glad to have it behind her!
Jen: yikes, knee replacement sounds rough. Tell her to take it easy!!
Mary: GOOOOOOOOD LUCK! :yahoo:
AAAAAAHHHHHH MAAAAAAARY!!!!!!!! ELV's! I can't wait to see your sweet new baby!
Ash - so glad you found a car. Sorry you have to lose one you love, though...
Amanda - sorry about the tummy issues.
Jen - I hope your mom recovers easily. I know knee surgeries can take awhile to heal from.
AFM - Xander did AMAZING at the doctor today! He stood on the scale to get weighed without issue. He sat on the exam table! He's never sat on it before, he always had to sit on my lap (even at his 3 year exam). He was such a big boy and so well behaved, I am so proud of him. I let him know how proud I was, too! He was excited to get some stickers and a pencil afterward, too. He was only 35 lbs. hahaha. I think he was 33.5 lbs at his 3 year check. He's so skinny, but very very tall. He's taller than almost all the other kids his age at playgroup and that live around here...
just got my NT results. Odds of Downs is 1 in 34,000. :yahoo: everything else they tested for was negative, too.
Virginia - yay for awesome NT results!
We're supposed to get out tomorrow and I hope we do. L&D was pretty good, but it has been a lot of insane crap up here on the postpartum floor. Too much to type from my phone, but I can't wait to be home.
