I hope everything goes/went well at your ultrasound, Katie!
I have another little cousin, it's a girl born today.
Congrats to your aunt and to you, Amanda! How exciting!
The ultra sound was great! Baby looked healthy, normal all parts checked out, including very clear boy bits we are joining the ranks of all boy brigade!!! I thought I would be more disappointed than I was. Not having a girl ever is a little sad but who can feel anything but happy when everything checked out healthy?!
congrats! I'm glad everything looked good!
I have to say, being tentatively done, I'm fine not having a little girl. I'd love a little niece, and someday a granddaughter to spoil, but I'm fine for now.
AFM: we've been super busy. We're in the process of buying our first house. After going back and forth and sideways over where we'd move and what we'd be doing, it's pretty exciting. It's also a ton of work. And the place we found is not a 5 kid house. The boys will be two to a room. So, if the buying process goes fine and we move in, it makes trying for more babies extremely unlikely. I'm okay with that, I think. I wouldn't necessarily mind if a bonus baby came along sometime, though. We'd work it out.
ETA: at 6m Arthur is 28.5" (98th) and 24lbs 6oz (100th ;)) Oliver is 38" (64th, but he slouched) and 33.8lbs (72nd). He's definitely my peanut!
Whoa congrats!! As someone almost done the bank process is such a hassle now. We have near perfect credit and enough down and I have still had to explain and give proof of every little thing. I had to give my tax returns bc we owed ny 121$ and the had to make sure the payment showing on our checking account wasn't an on going debt. I get it and have no worries I am just sick of organizing paperwork. I think like you our house will cap us at three...We may refinish a bonus room in the next year but I would like that to be mostly for play and an office.
I am more and more ok with no girls....I just always imagined a daughter so I have had to adjust but my boys are wonderful and one more will be so much fun to add to the mix....Maybe granddaughter or niece someday
Katie - You are describing exactly how I felt when I found out Natalie was a girl. Congrats on a healthy baby boy.
Virginia - Yay on figuring out what you are doing when it comes to a home. It is nice you found something to fit all the boys in, even if they have to share rooms. My parents always had a house where there was enough room for us to have our own place, my sister and I slept in the same room by choice for quite a while, in the basement, which we practically had to ourselves.
Your boys are so big.
Natalie just passed 40" and 30 lbs. She was happy about it because we went to Canada's Wonderland yesterday for the first time in this season and she got to go on 3 new rides, she loves the two "big" roller coasters that she graduated to. She tells me the Goaster Coaster has a really big hill, and it's her favourite.
Bit exhausted today, thankfully it's a quite day at work.
Ugh. The house feel through (inspection turned up major structural issues even though it looked move-in perfect). But, we're planning to make an offer on another today. This whole process is insane. (Oh, and this house could totally fit 5 or 6 kids and the next door neighbor apparently has 5 kids 9 and under!) I feel like I won't be able to count on anything until we actually move in somewhere.
In other news, I have a duct on the left which keeps reclogging. I went through a week or two of this in the winter, and now it's been around a month. it clears at least once a day, but I can't keep it clear. It might be because Arthur prefers the right, but the left is the better producer. I'm going to give it a few more days then maybe go in if it's still being stubborn. And Arthur likes biting when I feed him on the left, so I have a permanent nipple bruise, too, I think.
Well that is a bummer but better to know! A neighbor with a lot of young kids would be awesome! Maybe it will work out better! We got a sweet letter from the sellers of our house inviting us over so they could give us a tour of their gardens which would be awesome. Just very thoughtful so we will probably try to figure out how to find a time to visit prior to moving. I was hoping we would have our clear to close today the bank is so not all about urgency....And I suppose with a June closing there isn't as much but we'd like to just have It!
I am feeling well....thinking about potty training Rory....or attempting to at least!
So my MIL is an idiot and a lair. Her cat had kittens in March, we were talking to her about them two weeks ago she said she had found homes for 3/4 with a tentative home for the 4th. Come yesterday my BIL's wife asks if we want a cat, apparently NONE of the kittens had homes. We found out yesterday that none of the cats have seen a vet since mom gave birth though they should have had two rounds of shots already, she told us they had been to the vet. Also found out that she hadn't even put in the effort to find the kittens home, and had no plans to fix them, yup that's smart 4 unfixed females with an unfixed male. Sooooo because of all this we now have a male cat. We'll be keeping him for a bit to see if he bonds ok with the rest of our animals (yup it's insane) but if not we will be finding him a home.
